"Tim Apple"-Gate super matters. It's like, important... for this particular outrage cycle.

I think it fair to talk about what the president tweets.

Perhaps things would calm down if he fed the outrage cycle less.

"he's messed up numerous names, more mental illness evidence in his needing to pretend not a mistake"

Another point for the score board then — "as nourishing to the intellect as a photograph of oxygen to a drowning man" ;)

That would be true if the political system did not have impeachment as an option.

Big news! Heard it here first! Trump to be impeached in part because he called Tim Cook "Tim Apple"! Stay tuned for more outrage! I mean, not for "outrage" but for "more developments in Trump's inevitable yet painfully slow-building impeachment!" ;D

And here's proof:
"Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it."
[Washington Post interview, published March 11, 2019]

"Tim Apple" clearly speaks to "compelling and overwhelming" evidence of a need to remove Trump from office. This is it! The moment for which we've all been waiting! They just needed this one last political gaffe to move forward with the process. The 24-hour news cycle's interest in petty stories has finally done it! \:D/

That was quite illiterate of you.

There are two elements to keep track of. One is that of dementia (expressed perhaps in the inability to remember names), the other is sociopathy (expressed perhaps in a total disregard for the truth).

Impeachment is quite divisive, so it is important to raise examples of unfitness in the public debate.

I do agree that Trump will have to get worse, but I think that is a pretty safe bet.

It could be that there is nothing he can do that would cause impeachment, but I think better of the American people than perhaps you do yourself.

It is of course an admittedly low bar to pass.

Nice try, troll, but that was a weak deflection.

Expect people to question your literacy when you fly off on a tangent.

I have many ahem cutting comments I use with what I find to be a sufficient degree of variation.

You are going a bit off message there. CC was trying to indicate I have but a single set of insults in my arsenal.

While in fact, the store is profusely well-rounded.

Indeed it was a fine message. It was just not CC's "one-trick pony" message.

I am grateful for the reminder of one of my many creations.

I was speaking of stores in the sense of a place of storage. I do not need to keep up a facade.

"I was speaking of stores in the sense of a place of storage. I do not need to keep up a facade."

Yeah, I probably should have recognized that. Oh well, a storefront works just as well (vendor of insults, not keeping up a facade).

I do not sell the insults. I merely craft them, then give them away.

Artisan slurs so to speak.

I was quite please with my facade rebuttal. It had layers.

for the record, not sure any news agencies used this as an 'outrage' or mental illness story, just a humor story that i've seen

people shrug off all the unacceptable things he does including way more substantial than this... like claiming a 'just released manuscript' contradicted 'virtually all' of Cohen's testimony... when there is no manuscript, the book proposal merely had flattering praise of Trump that wouldn't contradict anything, & was from the time when Cohen was doing that in non-written form too anyway

or how he's still trying to convince the public Russia didn't do anything last election... i don't even know if that made any news at all

[hood]: “The intricacies of English are lost on foreigners”

What’s great too is that because I insulted his clear lack of English literacy in the other thread ( http://www...hread=84053&time=1550508246956 ), now he’s trying really hard to avoid his usual Sebbish levels of grammatical errors and has begun using literacy as an “I know you are, but what am I?” impotent school boy insult against me (i.e., I cited his illiteracy, so now he’s saying, “No! *CC* is illiterate!”)

As a one-trick pony, Jergul’s intellect maxed out in the primary school yard. And because he’s illiterate, he’d probably say that school boy efforts such as “kewl kid cynicism”, weirdly fetishized sexual suggestions, and a megalomaniacal ego which resists the idea of its own obvious impotence (i.e., Jergul legitimately thinks that he’s smart and that insults against his intelligence in UP are just those of people who don’t recognize his “greatness”) make him a *two* or *three* trick pony! So even the metaphor of a “one trick pony” is beyond his grasp.

That was pretty sad.

I find the belief that I care about what you or anyone else here thinks to be particularly amusing.

You forgot the self-harm insults.

I think I will have to put how poorly you deal with rejection into the arsenal.

Though ultimately, you should take my disdain as a compliment. At least I see you for who you are.

How many people can truly say that?

[Jergul]: "I find the belief that I care about what you or anyone else here thinks to be particularly amusing."

This is further telling of Jergul's perceptions (or lack thereof); Jergul is projecting if he thinks that I think that he cares — I do not think that he cares at all. I think the *opposite* and directly said as much in my most recent comment (Thu Mar 14 14:37:45) — the one that he clearly failed to read closely due to his English illiteracy, lack of intelligence, and megalomania. I hope UP takes note of the extent of his Sebbish and syphilitic symptoms, though none of this should be a surprise to anyone here.

That is, Jergul — despite his (hypocritical) claims that he, in good faith, will look up claims "[that] you post if [he is] at all interested ... going to the primary source" as part of his "Lutheran work ethic" ("US Partisan Divide on a Map": http://www...hread=84137&time=1552377273234 ) — in fact...
• has no work ethic (does not put in the intellectual work necessary to refute claims or research himself; in the above "US Partisan" link, after being chastised for this failure to cite and despite his claim that he "did check" Rugian's position, he summarizes an outside source in half of a sentence and does not even cite the source itself. To Jergul's benefit, perhaps he meant that the "Lutheran work ethic" is dishonest and weak, if he is a representation of it),
• will take it as a given that he is correct despite not having researched your position, (e.g., here where he fails to read a reference and makes himself look like a fool in trying to operate blindly around that reference: "Amazon tells NYC to fuck off" http://www.utopiaforums.com/boardthread?id=politics&thread=84053&time=1550508246956 )
• will not read closely your claims, give them good faith, or even bother to research them ("Amazon tells...", [Jergul]: "I [do not] care enough about what you write to pay it the courtesy of more than a cursory glace"; and more recently here, [Jergul]: "I [do not] care about what you or anyone else here thinks"),
• will, as a Tartuffe/hypocrite, point out your ad hominem fallacies with his megalomaniacal/pseudo-superior airs while himself engaging in ad hominem fallacies ("US Partisan Divide on a Map": [Jergul to Rugian, fallaciously summarizing Rugian's posting strategies]: "... = adhom"; and "Amazon tells NYC to fuck off": [Jergul to CC]: "It must be that time of the month.")
• will — as a product of megalomania and the Dunning–Kruger effect — interpret your insults of his (lack of) intelligence as a sign that he is actually quite intelligent ("eat at michelin restaurant = death": http://www.utopiaforums.com/boardthread?id=politics&thread=84081&time=1551003996307 ; [Jergul]: "Succinct contempt is a badge of honour in these parts.")

Others here (not including Seb, of course) do at least care enough to read and comprehend one another's positions before debating their merit, but Jergul will not and cannot attempt the challenge of comprehension or good faith representation of a position. I do not even address this comment to him (this is *about* him but not *to* him) for these reasons and because he's incapable of comprehending my words. Maybe he plugs UP comments into Google Translate, thinks he understands them, then composes a well-thought reply back into Google Translate, and he thinks the conversation is sequential; but in reality we're left watching the basic ramblings of an autistic, cellar-bound cretin — Hot Rod's true successor... no offense to HR ;)

Good morning!

A might obsessive, don't you think? I wonder if I will find posts referencing me in the HO.

I rather suspect I might.

One of the keys to the Lutheran work ethic is putting work into what is worthwhile.

Like I said to Hood. You would not understand.

Not too surprisingly, Jergul has a way to bypass the need to have a work ethic at all: label everything to be "not worthwhile". lol

Oh, if you think that people in UP tend to be retarded (e.g., Jergul)"

Its like you are reconstructing how school children bullied you and are now trying to do it yourself as an adult, but failing miserably.

Yes, what were those girls wispering and tittering when they pointed at you?

[Jergul]: "A might obsessive, don't you think?"
[Jergul]: "a mite obsessive, don't you think*"

lol.. standing on the ashes of literacy, a grammar correction appears.

And now, after Jergul stalked me in UGT for the Amazon thread ( http://www...hread=84053&time=1550508246956 ), making ad hominem attacks in part by introducing that I look at cat pictures (very productive), he's pretending that *I* am obsessive of *him* because I cited UP threads — most particularly (not all) those threads in which I was commenting (being able to remember conversations admits "[obsession]"?). Jergul never says anything in UGT yet cites from there, while I post in both forums, but I'm "obsessive" for calling him out on his stated positions (rather than adopting his practice of constant use of ad hominem fallacies) in a forum where I post frequently (but not as frequently as Jergul, who has a "Lutheran work ethic" and thus passes significant time shit-posting in UP)? :D ... Apparently only I can be "obsessive", but when Tartuffe adopts similar behavior to the extreme, it's beyond reproach! :D
« Le pauvre homme! »

..
[Jergul]: "what were those girls wispering and tittering when they pointed at you?"

Jergul shows zero attempt to stop with the ad hominem fallacies — disingenuous to the end*. I love the commitment to a lack of morality and the disdain for intellectual honesty ;D

*The "end", because I have no intention of giving Jergul a passing thought much less a reply after this thread — one final Purge thread to laugh at his many failures

..
[Jergul]: "That was again quite illiterate of you.
But like I said, you would not understand."

Tartuffe also continues to claim that I wouldn't understand his Lutheran example (more of his childish "I know you are, but what am I?" game, since I pointed out with examples that Jergul is the illiterate one, and all a child's mind can do is repeat the insult back at the originator). Not too surprisingly, because he is an illiterate megalomaniac, he is incapable of offering an explanation. I suppose the words would be too complicated for us mere mortals ("They should have sent a poet!") — never mind that Jergul has never demonstrated the intellectual capacity to explain anything, much less could he possess the capacity to attempt the self-reflection necessary to explain the hypocrisies present in religious dogmas. Like most Dostoevsky underground men (autistic people), he has a "god" inside him, but in his impotence he can never bring that "god" to life; he can *feel* correct, but he can never assemble words in such a way which prove anything of the sort.

The bottom line would be that his "Lutheran work ethic" is wildly flawed because it is driven by his megalomania. That is, he is not responsible for actually *having* a good work ethic because, despite the large amount of time that UP absorbs in his life, no work here is ever worth his efforts ([Jergul]: "I [do not] care about what you or anyone else here thinks"), thus he is perpetually lazy. Oh, but I wouldn't understand the mounting evidence of his laziness — it's just the Lutheran way, a mode of thought decipherable to 16th century peasants but clearly indecipherable to us non-megalomaniacs in the modern era XD

What can I say? The obsessive must obsess.

Do you want to know the tells that showed you were bullied at school? Of course you do.

We do have a few actual cynics here (Hi Murder. Hi Sammy). The kewl kid posers (Hi Cherub Cow. Hi Obminated) are different beasts. I would call your type bullies as it does resemble some of the school yard antics of days before anti-bullying campaigns, but you are just so horrible at it.

So it was simply a question of asking who in God's name would try bullying techniques so horribly stereotypical, they surpass anything you might find in a PG-13 teenage flick(your favourite is an oozing of appeal to authority as you attempt to victimize the unpopular kids who you probably visualize wearing glasses. Look at that Seb. Girls, he thinks he is better than us. Look what he said. We should do something. Am I right?).

Now, I just ask myself, who would be so horrible at bullying, but still attempt to employ bullying techniques rather systematically?

The kind answer of course is a bully victim. I am open to you always have being a crap bully of course. That would be the uncharitable interpretation (and would not fit well with other idiosyncrasies I feel you have demonstrated).

I skimmed through your wall of text. I actually do have a volunteer job here. I am the one who deletes your multiple posts when they occur, carefully chide posters when they go on a spammy thread creation rampage, and spent hours upon hours of deleting robot posts back when they were an issue.

I have of course never abused the buttons one click away. Which is a tell that I probably have never bullied or been bullied.

Another tell might be that it costs me nothing to pay you a compliment if I think you have crafted something nice. I have done so on occasion, while making it absolutely clear I was not reaching out. I just thought you wrote a nice post.

Another pretty strong indication is my repeated statements of not caring what people think. That is not entirely true. I do care to some extent and do enjoy many civil exchanges in this forum. But I am not bothered by people taking a strong dislike in me.

I also never appeal to forum authority. I could at times (see my rather heated discussions with Seb), but don't.

Because I do not care what people think. No matter if their thinking might be pulling in my direction on a sunny day.

PS
The Lutheran work ethic is founded on the idea that labour done honours God. It follows that the work done has to have certain qualities. Or be worthwhile.
