The jackscrew, combined with a newly obtained satellite flight track of the plane, convinced the FAA that there were similarities to the Oct. 29 crash of the same Max model off the coast of Indonesia.

In the earlier accident, a safety feature on the Boeing aircraft was repeatedly trying to put the plane into a dive as a result of a malfunction.

"a safety feature on the Boeing aircraft"

I don't think they fully understand the concept of a safety feature.

AHHHAAAHAAHAHA THIS COMPANY IS DONE 4. YANKEES, UR COUNTRY IS CORRUPT.

"The 737 Max is actually a very different airplane from the older model 737s. Crucially, Boeing's desire to force it to have some commonality (to save airlines training and maintenance costs, and - for Boeing - development costs) may well be at the heart of the possible problem: the old 737 design is inadequate to accommodate the newly developed, larger and more fuel efficient engines. To avoid having to redesign the whole plane to account for that, Boeing accepted that the MAX-line would have an unbalanced center of gravity. In short: the engines are too big for that plane, and tilt it in certain phases of the flight envelope. That means that plane will not settle on trim, but become uncontrollable. Boeing tries to prevent that with added automation, because pilots in such situations could be unable to handle an out-of-balance airplane. But what happens when data feeding the automation becomes erroneous? Well, the Indonesia crash provided the answer for that. Let's see what caused the Ethiopian nose-dive. THIS IS AN UPDATE TO MY COMMENT.....A screw-like device found in the wreckage of the Boeing Co. 737 Max 8 that crashed Sunday in Ethiopia has provided investigators with an early clue into what happened, as work begins in France to decode the black boxes recovered from the scene. The so-called jackscrew, used to set the trim that raises and lowers the plane’s nose, indicates the jet was configured to dive, based on a preliminary review, according to a person familiar with the investigation. The evidence helped persuade U.S. regulators to ground the model, said the person, who requested anonymity to discuss the inquiry."

>> AHAHAHAHAHAAAAA

GERMAN AIRLINES ALREADY HINTED ON LAWSUITS. NOW ALSO VICTIMS FAMILIES WILL BE SUING, HOW IS THIS NOT THE END 4 BOEING???
