Disabled cruise ship on a lee shore? Fun!

Two disabled ships. A cargo ship also lost its engines within spitting distance of the cruise liner.

Evacuation is really, really slow. By 4 helicopters taking say a dozen people at a time.

I dread checking for updates.

Mayboats.

Sounds like the liner has partial propulsion? If she didnt shed already be on the rocks i suspect.

Dropped anchors. It did have headway enough to make it a nautical mile or so farther out than its closest point to shore.

This was almost very, very bad. Evacuation is still only in the low 100ds.

Ya, from the look of it if she dragged her anchors for another mile or two she would have been wrecked like costa Concordia, and not in benign warm water either. Pretty close to killing a lot of people...

The engines restarted and ship is in port.

All four engines stopped working. It should be near impossible. And then there was another ship nearby, a cargo ship, whose engines also stopped. A coinicence? I think not. I’m not saying it is the Mossad but... something is going on and the media is covering it up because they are not talking about it.

Maybe a Russian submarine who was testing new technology that shuts down engines!

Para
Its not impossible at all. Water in the fuel would do it. Which is the most likely culprit.

The other ship stopping. That was odd. But again, where did the ships top off their fuel?

But we will know soon. The engines were restarted, the crew must know what the problem was.

Murder
Russian water in the fuel. No doubt about it.

loss of lubricating oil to all the engines seems to be the cause of the shut down. My theory was in the ballpark.
