Have we finally opened up for new accounts? I thought we were waiting to all die.

There are only so many tomorrows. When no one speaks your name is the final death.

If no one remembers you when you are gone – did you ever existed?

It must be 40 years since I read Dune.

Paramount, I think it is how you are remembered that counts.

Too be Frank, my dear, absolute power does not corrupt absolutely, absolute power attracts the corruptible.

Also cant wait to see Dune (2020). Do you think Sting is old enough to portray a Space Guild Navigator?

"This thread is now the official Dune book club."

It is sort of fascinating that a question about being able to have new people join this nutty place turns into a discussion of 'Dune'

The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience

Utopia is the mind-killer. Utopia is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my Utopia. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where Utopia has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain

Didn’t know there was a Dune book. But I remember that I played a game called Dune a long time a go. It was like a prequel to Command & Conquer and Starcraft. Isn’t there a movie as well?

I believe there is a movie. Never saw it but that is one of many that I haven't seen. The book was pretty damned good though. There was a series of books but I only recall reading the original.

I remember this movie well, not just because it came out in 1984 which was the best year for movies ever, but because it was the only movie that came with a glossary at the box office!
