Member | Wed Apr 17 13:29:43 It must be 40 years since I read Dune. Paramount, I think it is how you are remembered that counts. |

Member | Thu Apr 18 05:39:42 "This thread is now the official Dune book club." It is sort of fascinating that a question about being able to have new people join this nutty place turns into a discussion of 'Dune' |

Anarchist Prime | Thu Apr 18 07:29:02 Utopia is the mind-killer. Utopia is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my Utopia. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where Utopia has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain |

Member | Thu Apr 18 07:34:12 Didn’t know there was a Dune book. But I remember that I played a game called Dune a long time a go. It was like a prequel to Command & Conquer and Starcraft. Isn’t there a movie as well? |

Member | Thu Apr 18 09:48:41 I believe there is a movie. Never saw it but that is one of many that I haven't seen. The book was pretty damned good though. There was a series of books but I only recall reading the original. |

Member | Thu Apr 18 12:09:09 I remember this movie well, not just because it came out in 1984 which was the best year for movies ever, but because it was the only movie that came with a glossary at the box office! http://flashbak.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/dune.jpg |
