Reminds me of when Mel Gibson thought that "Hacksaw Ridge" would reinvigorate the "no atheists in foxholes" lie. .. "It is so irrelevant that SA had to make a post about it." That may be because it's not totally obscure made-for-TV propaganda. They've pushed for mass release; it's still in major theater listings. .. I just lumped it in with idiot movies like "God's Not Dead" (2014) or "An Interview with God" (2018), but if it has graphic violence, I may check it out when it's free so that I can lol — not enough movies have been willing to kill kids on screen, but this one apparently was ;p
Rugian Member	Sun Apr 21 10:15:44 The problem is that movies like Unplanned and Hacksaw Ridge constitute only a tiny minority of Hollywood's overall production. The entertainment that contemporary kids overwhelmingly carries a diametrically opposite message, so that's the one that sticks. Maybe conservative movies and shows would have more of an impact on societal views if they were in the majority, but they're not and they won't be for the foreseeable future (at least as long as (((they))) remain in charge of the media, anyway). Also, God's Not Dead was a cinematic masterpiece. Between the Muslim teenager getting the shit beat out of her by her father for listening to Christian music, the leftist journalist who develops cancer and gets dumped by her boyfriend as a result, and the atheist professor who gets killed off by God even though he was already kind of repenting, it's easily one of the most entertaining movies of the decade.

Paramount Member	Sun Apr 21 10:55:43 I recently saw a stupid movie called Into the Forest. They kinda advertized it as a thriller/survival/apocalypse type of movie. But it was the worst movie I’ve seen. There’s a power failure, like in the entire USA, and no one has any electricity any longer. Two girls and their father is staying at their country side house in the woods, far away from any big city, and their iphones and shit doesn’t work anymore. Time goes, and then they are running out of fuel. The local gas station has no fuel either. They pick berries and tries to survive. And then all of a sudden one of the girls gets violently raped by the guy who is running the gas station, and the girl gets pregnant. Despite that she was raped, she tells her sister that she is going to keep the baby (because life matters or something like that), so she then gives birth to the child in a big hollow tree stump where she, her sister and the baby decides is a good place to live in, because humans has survived without electricity in thousands of years. The message of the movie was clearly anti-abortion propaganda. I felt betrayed wasting my time looking at it and then at the end have this message thrown at my face.
