Tom, did you know any of your great-grandparents? I wasn't fortunate enough to have met any of mine and so far I don't have any great grandchildren. I hope you live long enough for them to know and remember you.

When my wife's mother passed a few days before turning 90 she had 50 grandchildren; 89 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

No, I never met any great grand parents and only met my grand father on my mothers side. All the others were dead before I was born. My mothers mother passed at 46, 6 weeks after giving birth to my youngest aunt. 9 pregnancies and only 4 survived. My dad was the youngest of 11 and he was born in 06.
I believe all my great grand parents lived in Ireland or at least they were born there.

We have 6 grand kids. The youngest is 22 and lives in Okinawa.

Para, she had 15. I suppose it could have possibly been 17, but she had 2 miscarriages. My wife was number 3. When we married I was 22 and she was 18. We met while attending college.

Tom, I only knew 2 grandparents. My fathers father and my mothers mother. I have 9 grandchildren and the oldest is 22.
