Utopia Talk / Politics / Barr blasts the judiciary

Good. We cant replace these Obama-aligned "resistance" judges fast enough, but in the meantime their attempts to conduct a virtual coup and effectively hijack control of the government for nakedly partisan reasons need to be called out.

Between the judiciary's destruction of checks and balanaces and Congress's endless attempts to destroy executive privilege, no modern president has ever faced a larger challenge to their legitimate powers than Trump.

AG Barr blasts federal judges who impose nationwide injunctions
by Zachary Halaschak

| May 21, 2019 11:36 PM

Attorney General William Barr blasted federal judges who have issued more than 37 nationwide injunctions during the Trump administration, more than in the entirety of the 20th century.

In a Tuesday speech to the American Law Institute, Barr went after “improper use of nationwide injunctions against policies of all stripes” and said that the use of the injunctions to block policy gives district courts “unprecedented power.”

“One judge can, in effect, cancel the policy with the stroke of the pen,” he said. “No official in the United States government can exercise that kind of nationwide power, with the sole exception of the President. And the Constitution subjects him to nationwide election, among other constitutional checks, as a prerequisite to wielding that power.”

One example he cited was the legal battles over the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which offers protections for individuals brought to the U.S. illegally as children, instituted under former President Barack Obama.

He went on to emphasize the magnitude and increase of the injunctions, pointing out that the use of the rulings has increased dramatically since President Trump was inaugurated and contrasted the prevalence of the orders with those under Trump’s Democratic predecessor.

“Since President Trump took office, federal district courts have issued 37 nationwide injunctions against the Executive Branch. That’s more than one a month. By comparison, during President Obama’s first two years, district courts issued two nationwide injunctions against the Executive Branch, both of which were vacated by the Ninth Circuit,” Barr said.

He added that according to his department’s estimates, federal judges only issued 27 nationwide injunctions during the 20th century.

Rugian's father beat the shit out of him. That's why he loves getting figuratively raped and gaslighted. He's already been literally raped and gaslighted his entire life.

Rugian buys into the coup bullshit...somehow I'm not surprised. That's a pretty bad downward spiral you've got there.

Barr needs impeached too

he let his 'no collusion, no obstruction' false 'summary' sit out for weeks before we find half the report was on obstruction (as much as everything else combined) w/ Mueller finding Trump met all criteria of obstruction multiple times

& even before that released we had Barr commenting he didn't know why Mueller didn't make a conclusion & not answering when people asked if it was because of the 'no indictment of a president' standard, when it CLEARLY was as stated literally on page 1, so obviously Mueller was not passing the ball to Barr, he was passing to Congress or future prosecutors (as he again noted in report)

so now the Fox News population has no idea there is multiple obstruction conclusions in the report, keeping him well shielded from impeachment

plus Barr is out there sticking with the 'spying' term even though every time he does, Trump (& Fox) use it to imply criminal activity (including 'treason')... apparently Barr's devotion to his definition of the word is more important than misleading the American public

and he's had other garbage parroting Trump... like saying it was reasonable to call it a witch hunt as Trump felt falsely accused (well, he's the President, not a random person, & was smearing the entire Justice Dept... PLUS -he- was not falsely accused by the investigation, he wasn't even the target of the investigation, at least until he was obstructing it, he had no idea if anyone colluded or did other crimes plus he should have welcomed the information about Russia)

so pretty disgraceful behavior across the board by Barr who isn't a retarded fraud child like Trump so should know better

as to OP comparing Trump to Obama or anyone else is stupid... we have a totally ignorant dishonest fraud child as President... tons more bad press makes sense, tons more injunctions make sense, tons more investigations make sense

"plus Barr is out there sticking with the 'spying' term"

Where do you draw the line between surveillance and spying, since you still insist on this retarded whining?

i already noted my concern is legality... every time Barr says 'spying', Trump says 'see, crimes against me!'

Barr HAS to notice, i don't see him ever saying 'Trump is misconstruing my comments' or any complaints at all about Trump (even ridiculously justifying 'witch hunt')

also proof Barr is corrupt is he was in a Fox interview recently saying he was surprised Mueller didn't reach conclusion on obstruction, then interviewer asked if he knew why Mueller didn't, and instead of answering Barr just said 'well Mueller makes it pretty clear in report'

so SAY IT, you lying sack of shit... he won't as it contradicts his past misrepresentations

When we fly RC-130s in the Persian Gulf and notate every single departure from Bandar Abbas along with metadata, we are undoubtedly spying; your distinction is irrelevant, much like Trump's.

so the semantics are more important than misleading the public?

i shouldn't even say 'legality', just 'appropriateness'... there's no indication the 'spying' wasn't warranted & legal

------

here's the shifty fat fuck interview (after which Trump concluded Treason):

@8:30 him being asked why Mueller didn't make the obstruction call & he dodges... WHY? ANSWER IT
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZBb8uMoqdI

and just before that how 'hoax' & 'witch hunt' were fine... by the President... about a lawful investigation by his own Justice Dept that did yield plenty of results... because lil baby Trump couldn't handle it

plus early on in interview, him insinuating the investigation was corrupt... there is NO reason for him to be making comments like that w/o any evidence

do you acknowledge literally everyone is using the 'spying' term as synonymous with inappropriate/illegal in this case?

but he's clearly a bad actor at this point, based on other things, so likely intentional

here's my prediction:

Barr will do his biased investigation & find nothing major but find some little thing or things to nitpick about, and Trump will blow it massively out of proportion, and Barr won't say a word in contradiction

"It is no accident, it is no coincidence, that the attorney general of the United States is the person responsible for making sure that voter suppression does not happen in our country,” Pelosi told reporters a week before the Holder vote, “These very same people who are holding him in contempt are part of a nationwide scheme to suppress the vote. They’re closely allied with those who are suffocating the system: unlimited special interest secret money.”

This is Pelosi re: Holder, when people actually died. But mUh sPyInG

Conducting an inquiry into potentially criminal conduct is now defined as spying, apparently.

In 2014, Dems had zero issue calling CIA intrusion into Congressional computers spying - despite the assertion of CIA that Dems had obtained documents without proper clearance or need to know.

perhaps not... although a respectable person probably would make an effort to squash misinformation rather than stoking it... he chose to stoke

TW's defense of the Democrats' and their propagandists (CNN/WaPo/NYT) is pathetic.

Mueller: Yep, no collusion, no obstruction.

Barr: Sounds good. Hey everyone, no collusion, no obstruction.

Democrats: NOT GOOD ENOUGH YOU FUCKING TRUMP TOADIE, RELEASE THE FULL REPORT OR WE'LL DESTROY YOU

Barr: Oh wow, that was unwarranted. Very well, despite the fact that Mueller works for me and I have no obligation whatsoever to release his report, I'll release every part I legally can.

Democrats: NOT GOOD ENOUGH, GIVE US THE FULL REPORT AND ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS IMMEDIATELY

Barr: Well that'd include grand jury material, which is illegal to provide (not to mention the fact that you'd probably leak it in seconds if you ever did see it). How about a special session that allows select members of Congress to see even more material?

Democrats: DENIED. GIVE US THE FULL REPORT AND ALL MATERIALS OR WE'LL DESTROY YOU

Barr: Well like I said, that'd be illegal. Also isn't this supposed to be a give-and-take process? You guys just seem to be taking.

Democrats: ALSO WE DEMAND THAT YOU SUBMIT TO QUESTIONING BY OUR STAFF ATTORNEYS LIKE THE LITTLE BITCH YOU ARE

Barr: lol, no, I'm not doing that. Never in 206 years has a person in my position been treated so insultingly and I'm not indulging you anymore.

Democrats: FINE FUCK YOU, YOU'RE IN CONTEMPT

Barr: Whatever. Thanks for proving that you're impossible to work with. Bye.

Democrats: NOW BARR IS REFUSING TO COOPERATE WITH CONGRESS FOR NO DISCERNIBLE REASON?! ROGUE DOJ SEND FOR THE SERGEANT OF ARMS IMPEACH IMPEACH REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

It's beyond disgusting behavior.

No, you're a victim of the desperate ploy to keep the collusion narrative alive, since it's what the Democrats had been pinning their hopes to for two full years and they have nothing without it.

Mueller: "Here's my report Barr, we even wrote summaries for you to provide to the public."

Barr: "Thanks but I'll write my own summary without even reading it, and stick with my own opinions that I wrote way back that got me the job, plus give unnecessary & unwarranted cover for my fraud boss."

Mueller: "Hey dickbag, your conclusions totally misrepresented my report."

Barr: "Tough shit, I'm corrupt."

Also you have to love the mental gymnastics at work here.

"Hey, apparently the President was upset that he was being set up by national security agencies, the FBI and the media for what was clearly a bullshit claim about being a Russian puppet, and tried to put a stop to the bullshit. That's obstruction! Oh and by the way, Mueller did not conclude that obstruction had actually occurred, but that's beside the point. NARRATIVE RESURRECTED"

Mueller faulting Barr is not a guess or 'fake news', the letter is public (& which corrupt Barr called 'snitty')

http://www...bert-muellers-letter-bill-barr

summary: Mueller saying Barr's bullshit summary led to confusion & misrepresented report & Mueller asking that his summary be released to the public... which Barr did not do... one might wonder why

instead he waited many weeks while preparing the report for release... all the while his bullshit summary permeating... and even then, before releasing the report, holding a press conference to defend Trump and pretend he didn't know why Mueller didn't make a determination on obstruction

a disgrace

-------

"he was being set up by national security agencies, the FBI and the media for what was clearly a bullshit claim about being a Russian puppet"

that did not happen

a bunch of Trump campaign staff were interacting w/ Russians... the FBI investigated... as they should have

"Mueller did not conclude that obstruction had actually occurred"

if Barr hadn't blasted chaff into the air, you'd know Mueller did not make a determination only because of the 'no indicting a president' standard... he DID lay out obstruction evidence (citing all criteria to commit the crime: obstructive act, nexus to a crime, intent... w/ detailed analysis... and Trump checking ALL 3 boxes on multiple occasions)... and noting he left the information there for congress &/or future prosecutors.

which is why it is not surprising ~1000 prosecutors have said, 'yeah, Trump would've been prosecuted'... and why lone Republican w/ a spine Justin Amash made his cmoments

all the lying R's out there pretending to be confused by how Amash could decide there was obstruction are disgraces (like Barr), who likely didn't even read the report (like Barr)

and for the triple post...

Barr's notion that it was fine for Trump to call it a hoax, witch hunt & obstruct as he knew he was innocent, beyond being total crazy nonsense, it is also wrong because Trump wasn't the only one being investigated (in fact he wasn't even being investigated at all, when he originally was smearing it, as confirmed by Comey)

if Barr hadn't injected himself there wouldn't have been any "No Collusion, No Obstruction" headlines (by reputable outlets)

...instead "No Criminal Conspiracy Found, Just Many Inappropriate Actions & Other Crimes; No Obstruction Charged, As Following OLC Opinion, But With Fully Formed Case Laid Out For Congress Or Future Prosecution" headlines

Barr is a piece of shit liar that will end up in jail if Trump doesn't win re-election.

He clearly lied in his first report and the real mueller report said something else.

The damage was done because cuckservatives swallowed the lie whole and ignore the truth that came out afterwards because it "came from the mainstream media."
