”They [NASA] should be focused on the much bigger things we are doing, including Mars (of which the Moon is a part)”

Guess who?

My guess is that he meant that the Moon would be a stop on a Mars-oriented mission. Either that, or he's playing some sort of 5D chess to trigger the libs.

Under my Administration, we are restoring @NASA to greatness and we are going back to the Moon, then Mars. I am updating my budget to include an additional $1.6 billion so that we can return to Space in a BIG WAY!

For all of the money we are spending, NASA should NOT be talking about going to the Moon - We did that 50 years ago. They should be focused on the much bigger things we are doing, including Mars (of which the Moon is a part), Defense and Science!

So first he was going to restore Nasa to greatness by going back to the moon, but then he says Nasa should not talk about going to the moon.

What does he really mean?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon

The Moon is thought to have formed about 4.51 billion years ago, not long after Earth. The most widely accepted explanation is that the Moon formed from the debris left over after a giant impact between Earth and a !!!!!!!!!!Mars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-sized body called Theia.

This one is pretty obviously not a retarded comment. Just poorly worded.

Sorry, I'll amend.

This is a retarded comment, but it clearly didn't insinuate that the moon was part of mars.

i wouldn't say 'clearly'

what happened is the fraud moron child was watching TV, as he does 100% of the time he's not golfing (including more than 1 TV on), and someone was either criticizing spending money going to the moon again and/or a NASA person was talking about the moon, so the fraud moron child tweeted that the NASA people should be talking about more ratings-grabbing things (ratings of course being of supreme importance)

but we can mock how he wants them to talk about "Science!"... that climate report was science that he dismissed without reading because he doesn't read & because science matters zero to the idiot fraud moron just like what our intel people say if it conflicts with what he hears from his buddies in Russia, Saudi Arabia & Israel

Maybe not so retarded, but an indication of much bigger things, which include Mars and the Moon.

What do you think are the bigger things?

I'll guess: Space Force

he desperately wanted NASA to go to Mars during his term, as he wants credit, but was denied, so his weird 'Moon is a part of Mars' line almost certainly inserted as he wants the public to associate going back to the Moon with going to Mars as going to the Moon again could happen during his term

"Maybe not so retarded"

No, it's undoubtedly retarded. The proposals being bandied around NASA are all manner of pure, concentrated retardation. Things like:

-wasting millions to billions of money on a half-moon station just to get to the moon on their super rushed timeline because the rocket they insist on using is that far behind.
-spending over 14 billion on that stupid rocket (the SLS) because contractors can't seem to be on time or on budget. Meanwhile other rocket vendors seem to be doing just fine for a fraction of the cost.
-recall that moon station? Even the full station is incredibly fucking retarded. To fit the protocols of the first mission, they'll need to place the station at a highly useless orbit with exception for that mission, making it basically single use. Completely pointless.
-plan calls for a moon landing by 2024, even though that retarded rocket very likely won't be ready to fly by then.
-the full plan, just for the moon landing by 2024, has been estimated at costing about $10 billion per year. That's another $50 billion after that $1.6 billion mentioned in the tweet. To get to the fucking moon. Completely fucking pointless, mind bogglingly expensive. All because of the retarded plan, the moon station, the insistence on using the SLS rocket.
-the suggestion that there are "big plans" beyond landing on the moon is in itself retarded. We can land rovers on Mars, so reaching Mars with anything short of flesh and blood is not big. NASA's moon landing likely won't happen by 2024, yet there's promise of something bigger? Yeah, sure. Alrighty. Nice fantasy there.

So the tldr is that the comment is incredibly retarded, but it is obvious that it wasn't suggesting that the Moon is part of Mars. It was obviously talking about mission planning.

Trump criticizes NASA plans for return to the moon, after earlier support.

The proper title for that article should be Trump criticizes Trump's directive to return to the moon after issuing aforementioned directive.

Literally the only reason the moon launch was moved up to 2024 from ~2028 was because Trump wanted it within his presidency. The reason we're going back to the moon and not elsewhere is because the moon was the only possibility.

You should stop swallowing Trump's erection.

i think pushing for space exploration is good for technological advancement. but it is also pretty fruitless. even if we somehow figure out how to travel at the speed of light, it is still too fucking slow to explore even our own galaxy, much less neighboring galaxies.

really we would need to pull the mass effect cheat and create wormholes at certain check points to make some travel instant.

i think the media is getting it wrong... they are assuming Trump is speaking in general to the public like a normal human, but he is speaking to the guy he's watching on TV

he's not saying NASA shouldn't be going to the moon, just that the guy on TV should be talking about more exciting things

people need to consider almost every Trump tweet is a response to what he's watching at the moment

Please, bj, feel free to invalidate any of my statements. Try not to die before you manage. Cause pro tip, you will die before you can prove any of my statements wrong.

"i think pushing for space exploration is good for technological advancement"

It would be if we weren't building 2 decade old rockets at 1/10 the pace of private industry (well, really just SpaceX cause everyone else of note is really slow and behind compared to them; so like 1/3 of the pace of private industry). It would be if our endeavors were actually well planned and not just monkeys pulling shit out of their ass combined with alabama monkeys slinging shit at anyone who doesn't let them shit all over the shitpile. or the tldr: sen shelby from alabama needs to diaf and the rest of congress forcing NASA's purse needs to jump in after him.

Shouldn’t Trump focus on the Wall instead of going to the Moon?

He could basically take Nasas budget and build that wall and stop the aliens.

We cant make NASA great again! We would have to screen for white males less than six feet tall, 35 years old or under that have a doctorate in science, medicine, or engineering.

My statement had nothing to do with what you said about NASA. Keep validating your fictional talent.

That's a really weird way to say "yes, sorry, I was wrong. You are correct hood." You should work on your communication skills, it seems you have difficult expressing yourself.

I'm of the opinion that your unnecessary language attempting to insult me is unbecoming to your level of intelligence. It wasn't an admission of being sorry. How do you perceive me as being wrong in this thread?

Would it be "my guess" or would it be posting a link of Trump flip flopping?

"How do you perceive me as being wrong in this thread?"

I directly quoted it. If you weren't being distracted by the impaling penis in your mouth, you might have caught precisely what I was responding to.

"your unnecessary language attempting to insult me is unbecoming"

That's the beauty of language; it allows for a wide range of expression. Small minds might categorically dismiss an entire section of language as beneath them yet that is simply an indication of their inability to properly wield such verbiage. Or, you should not project your inadequacies upon others.

"It wasn't an admission of being sorry."

You must be new here...

"your unnecessary language attempting to insult me is unbecoming to your level of intelligence."

You've made me see the light. I was wrong to project my inability to judge your level of intelligence.
