The activity on this board really took a toll. Imagine how many hours we all were spending reading his posts and discussions with others, engaging with him. So, what are guys up to these days?

I was kind of holding out hope that he would finally get well enough to do his road trip. But each of us has a time clock built in.
I know I'm beginning to feel my age at 75. Can't go at it like I used to and it's frustrating. Thank God I'm retired and not on the clock. This summer is the first one that I haven't worked since I was 10 years old. I was going to look for a driving job but my wife had surgery and she needs some help looking after the dog. I still might grab some part time if she improves enough.

"she needs some help looking after the dog"

Sounds like the dog is a crutch to adventure. Pull a David Motari?

Good fucking God. David Motari? I had never heard of him. If I saw someone do that to a puppy I would personally shoot them.

Even if you were super bored in the desert?

That was pretty merciful compared to what the natives there do to dogs.

I guess I wouldn't be bored after I shot the oxygen thief.

Patom, try to find time to consistently do some stretching/muscle maintenance. Yoga for example. Keeps those joints flexible and it will ad some quality time to the later years of life.

Hrothgar, been thinking about that. I used to love to walk, 3 miles a day but knee problems have put a crimp in that.

Swimming is easier on the joints and serves more muscle groups, if you have the means.
