When Britain fi-i-irst, at Trump's command,
Aro-o-o-ose from out the a-a-a-zure main,
Arose, arose, arose from out the a-azure main,
This was the charter, the charter of the land,
And guardian a-a-angels sang this strain:
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves
Britons never, never, never shall be EU slaves.
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
The nations, no-o-o-o-ot so blest as thee,
Must i-i-i-i-in their turn, to Merkel fall,
Must in their turn, to Merkel fall,
While thou shalt flourish, shalt flourish great and free,
The dread and e-e-e-e-nvy of them all.
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be slaves.
Rule Britannia!
Britannia rule the waves.
Britons never, never, never shall be EU slaves.

Don't mean nothing. Though the showmanship should improve. He is further away from Brexit than May ever was.

New elections will be the outcome before brexit is possible.

British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt on Monday said the government will seek to establish a new force with European allies to guarantee maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.

Mr Trump's daughter and White House adviser, Ivanka, initially congratulated Mr Johnson on becoming the next prime minister of "United Kingston", before correcting her mistake on Twitter.

She probably thought he was the new PM of Jamaica, before her followers had to correct her.

Meanwhile in the EU...Merkel just managed to get one of her own lieutenants installed as the next President of the European Commission, despite the fact that her lieutenant wasn't even a candidate on the ballot paper and that she's a complete unknown outside of Germany.

Rumors that Merkel has recently been overheard saying to her aides "what Adi failed to do with his tanks, I will achieve with my political acumen" and "won't be much longer before we can openly announce the arrival of #4" are so far unconfirmed.

The UK can't get out of there fast enough.

No she isn’t. She may not be known in America. But who cares. Also, it was a compromise. And then the majority voted for her.

Do you always make decisions and act upon rumors?

General election in September. Possibly October latest.

Show at trying to do a new deal, then he'll campaign on a platform of "I want a deal but the only way we get one is if we are prepared for no deal. Parliament has tied my hands." Hell try to do a deal with Farrage and retain booth hard brexit and soft brexit votes. If labour haven't ditched Corbyn by then, he's stands reasonable chances of not doing terribly. But odds are fairly good at present polling it be will be a rainbow coalition with a new referendum. Reasonable chance that the next PM is Labour, but not Corbyn. The price of labor forming a govt will be Corbyns out.

Rugian:

There isn't a ballot for president of the commission. It's a position appointed by the council despite recent attempts by EU parliament to assert their control over it.

New referendum. Yes, this is the only sane option. When one of your friends or family members tells you they want do something incredibly stupid, like getting into meth, sell human organs on the black market or Brexit, a common thing to say is, ”uhm... what?” or ”have you thought this one through?”. It is a sign you care about your friend, despite him being retarded.

"No she isn’t. She may not be known in America."

"Rugian:

There isn't a ballot for president of the commission."

You guys might want to reach out to The Independent then, because apparently they weren't aware of this:

"EU leaders chose Ursula von der Leyen as their pick to replace Jean-Claude Juncker as the leader of the European Union’s executive branch despite the fact she was not on the ballot paper as a candidate and has no manifesto.

The European Council effectively ignored the European parliament’s spitzenkandidat, or “lead candidate” system, which was supposed to inject an element of democracy into the selection of commission president – instead nominating the defence minister, who is largely unknown outside Germany."

I suppose this is what I get for reading Lib Dem trash.

Anyway, 18 hours until Parliament is prorogued. I'm practically jizzing my pants in anticipation.

Independent has turned into a clickbaity shithole since it was bought by the Russian kleptocrat and he closed down the investigative journalism and print edition.

You should do your own research and not repeat the errors of others.

Formally the commission works for the council, the council appoints the commission. The parliament can fire the commission.

Last European election, the big parties appointed lead candidates and agreed that whichever party held the most votes, all parties would agree to support that candidate and veto any other. The council, which is the national governments, reluctantly accepted.

However this system was widely regarded as a failure given the issues with Junker and Selameyer.

This time, none of the big parties won a majority and the council has rightly said "actually no, the commission works for us, the national governments, no the parliament, and you haven't got the democratic mandate or legal right to do this".

Junker was never really on any ballot either.

Parliament can't be prorogued. They've already passed a bill that would recall them in October so it would be pointless.

And typical proto fascist that you are, to realise you are advocating for the executive to suspend the legislature and judiciary. Proroguing Parliament isn't that different from Hitler's "enabling act".

Rugian, ”who is largely unknown outside Germany.”

Okay, largely unknown to the general public outside of Germany. Her name isn’t Merkel after all. But she isn’t completely unknown.
