Interesting this asshole was killed by police within a minute yet he still murdered 8 and injured 30.

Why does a law-abiding citizen need a weapon that can kill 8 and injure 30 in less than a min?

Why are governments, which have killed tens of millions of their own citizens in the 20th century, considered less of a threat to peoples' lives than a random yahoo with a gun, who can kill dozens at most?

More government control over the citizenry isn't needed.

Especially now that the Democratic party have endorsed far-left radicals with dictatorial proposals such as cracking down on opposition campaign funding sources, packing the judiciary with compliant judges, abolishing the Electoral College, and radically transforming the country with shit like the Green New Deal and making corporate boards answerable to the government.

Patriotic citizens need the means to defend themselves against such tyrannical individuals.

"Why does a law-abiding citizen need a weapon that can kill 8 and injure 30 in less than a min?"

In case of government oppression.

The real trick is to reduce the number of guns in the hands of psychos. Perhaps only heads of families should own these guns. Another method is to have local gun clubs or citizens bodies vouch for owners good standing. But that would be "racist" im sure.

Finland doesn't have an army of bloodsucking lawyers who will sue your ass because you didn't let Tyrone and Qaesisha into your club on suitability grounds.

a twist:

"Dayton Police Deputy Chief Matt Carper confirmed that Connor Betts is the shooter and that his sister Megan Betts, 22, was one of those killed."

Ya its funny to think that democrats are the real reason why "common sense" gun control cant pass.

Anyway speaking of tyrone, it sounds like this guys sister was burning some coal so the brother nuked her and the relevent bar.

so a possible honor killing?

that'll be hard to pin on Trump... we'll have to think it over at the meetings

apparently as a sophomore the shooter was found to have a notebook with a list of people who he wanted to rape, kill and skin their bodies... police removed him from the school bus at some point... he was gone for a year then returned & finished high school

Mods, in light of the El Paso thread, I'd like to have this thread title renamed to "left winger shoots up Dayton." Thanks.

----

"Connor Betts, the Dayton, Ohio mass shooter, was a self-described “leftist,” who wrote that he would happily vote for Democrat Elizabeth Warren, praised Satan, was upset about the 2016 presidential election results, and added, “I want socialism, and i’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding.”

Betts’ Twitter profile read, “he/him / anime fan / metalhead / leftist / i’m going to hell and i’m not coming back.” One tweet on his page read, “Off to Midnight Mass. At least the songs are good. #athiestsonchristmas.” The page handle? I am the spookster. On one selfie, he included the hashtags, “#selfie4satan #HailSatan @SatanTweeting.” On the date of Republican Sen. John McCain’s death, he wrote, “F*ck John McCain.” He also liked tweets referencing the El Paso mass shooting in the hours before Dayton.

Twitter has now suspended the Twitter page, removing it. It was up for several hours after the mass shooting.

On Nov. 2, 2018, he wrote: “Vote blue for gods sake.”"

Ohio State Rep. Candice Keller explains the problem:

"
After every mass shooting liberals start the blame game. Why not put the blame where it belongs?

The breakdown of the traditional American family (thank you, transgender, homosexual marriage, and drag queen advocates); fatherlessness, a subject no one discuses or believes is relevant; the ignoring of violent video games; the relaxing of laws against criminals (open borders); the acceptance of recreational marijuana; failed school policies (hello parents who defend misbehaving students); disrespect to law enforcement (thank you, Obama); hatred of our veterans (thank you, professional athletes who hate our flag and National Anthem); the Dem Congress, many members whom are open anti-Semitic; the culture, which totally ignores the importance of God and the church (until they elect a President); state officeholders, who have no interest whatsoever in learning about our Constitution and the Second Amendement; and snowflakes, who can’t accept a duly-elected President.
"

much nonsense in there... but 'hatred of veterans' because of kneeling athletes? Fox News has to go

"Why does a law-abiding citizen need a weapon that can kill 8 and injure 30 in less than a min?"

To blast the shit out of things on a range for fun.

And that gun was altered to be able to shoot that fast. It was not a legal weapon. A law abiding citizen would not have had it.

Won't help in these latest cases but I think we need a program like the NRA's Hunter Safety Course. Before you can buy a hunting licence you have to pass a gun handling course. The course was taught in third grade where I went to school.

maybe we should have a gun handlers safety course all people wanting a gun would have to take. Should be cheap or even free. I'm guessing most gun clubs would be willing to host a class at little to no cost. You only need to take it once and then can go about buying guns as normal. Background checks in place now would still be in place.
Doing this might lower the amount of accidental gun deaths. Also if you could convince people that don't really intend to purchase a gun to take it they might not be quite so afraid of guns.
You would still need the separate classes states provide to conceal and carry.

"packing the judiciary with compliant judges"

Does the irony taste scrumptious or something?
