Utopia Talk / Politics / Incitement, defined

No, I'm not talking about Trump's generalized talk about border security and illegal immigrants, topics which are rightfully well within the scope of public discourse no matter how much CNN and the DNC insist they aren't.

This is incitement. Actual incitement against specific individuals, by an extremist member of the far left. And if any of those individuals end up being harmed as a result, this man deserves to go to prison.

----

Democratic Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro on Monday tweeted the names and employers of 44 San Antonio residents who donated the federal maximum to President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign.

Castro, whose district includes much of San Antonio, claimed the donors “are fueling a campaign of hate that labels Hispanic immigrants as ‘invaders.'” Castro is the twin brother of Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro and chairs his presidential campaign.

“Sad to see so many San Antonians as 2019 maximum donors to Donald Trump,” the congressman wrote, proceeding to name local businesses whose owners gave the maximum to Trump’s campaign. Eleven of the 44 donors shown in Rep. Castro’s post listed their employment as “retired.”

Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh is demanding Castro delete the post.

“Democrats want to talk about inciting violence? This naming of private citizens and their employers is reckless and irresponsible. He is endangering the safety of people he is supposed to be representing,” Murtaugh told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“No one should be targeted for exercising their First Amendment rights or for their political beliefs. He should delete the tweet, apologize, and his brother’s campaign should disavow it,” Murtaugh added. (RELATED: A Mob Showed Up At Tucker Carlson’s House And Ordered Him To ‘Leave Town’)

Neither Castro’s presidential campaign nor Rep. Castro’s congressional office returned requests for comment.

i don't support that Castro tweet, but Trump does a LOT more than generalized talk about border security and illegal immigrants (& w/ a much bigger platform than Castro)

his repeated claims of enemies of the people about media has included many specific names... and Cesar Sayoc claims he was inspired by Trump which is not hard to believe given all the Trump stickers on his van, his love of Trump rallies, & overlap of his hit list w/ Trump enemies

and on the border, Trump over and over has called it an invasion of murderers & drug dealers who must be stopped

then you have Trump's support of violence against protesters... wistful for the times when they would be taken out on a stretcher, and offering to pay legal bills

(examples just off the top of my head)

Cesar Sayoc was a demented fuck that could just as easily been inspired by a jar of mustard at Denny's. He wanted to cause terror and in his own little demented mind came up with what he thought was a reason.

President Trump's talk about the border is over the top but he isn't calling for violence and it has gotten us talking about a real problem. All we need now is for congress to pass some meaningful legislation dealing with the problem. Streamlining the legal process for coming to our country would be a good start.

You say President Trump's tweets and talking points are inciting but Castro's tweet goes well beyond anything the president has done. It was a shit move motivated by pure hate.

yet Cesar Sayoc ignored all jars of mustard until the giant jar of mustard known as Trump came along

also, it's pretty undeniable that merely harassment/bullying of muslims & hispanics has been incited by Trump... again, if we can find intellectual honesty in this age of Trump, can you really claim he's had zero point zero effect?

and how does Castro's go beyond? all it says is they donated to Trump (and whose campaign factually has and continues to "label Hispanic immigrants as ‘invaders.’")

Trump has named names as enemies of the people... or just personal enemies, which is enough for Trump's zealots to have seething hatred

doubtful Castro has a following of crazed zealots at all

"and how does Castro's go beyond?"

Because they're private citizens, not politicians. Stop being fucking retarded

All campaign donors who donate over $200 are recorded for the public record. You can literally search for it right here:
https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/individual-contributions/?two_year_transaction_period=2020&min_date=01%2F01%2F2019&max_date=12%2F31%2F2020

Break out the maxipads, hoist up your panties and stop up those bleeding vaginas.

Who cares. Castro is a soon-to-be failed presidential candidate and Trump is president. One has a much bigger responsibility to show leadership and even-keeled comments and fails miserably.

Trump said a protester who rushed the stage was linked to ISIS... (based on an edited YouTube video)

that lie seems much more reckless than noting someone donated to Trump (which is public info as hood noted)

Castro is highlighting the businesses... which jogged my memory... in some other thread, obaminated crazily suggested Trump was not a hypocrite, and i knew there was a gigantic example that had just happened but couldn't remember it... well that was it:

Trump:
"
More and more the Radical Left is using Commerce to hurt their “Enemy.” They put out the name of a store, brand or company, and ask their so-called followers not to do business there. They don’t care who gets hurt, but also don’t understand that two can play that game!
"
http://twi...ump/status/1148767855351128064

when Trump has called for heaps of boycotts, many for purely personal reasons

so if mt drops in... feel free to be shocked by your hero being clearly hypocritical... i'm sure it will devastate you

So forwyn's logic, "though its already public information, no body should say its public information."

When you set up business in a predominantly Hispanic city or state and then it becomes apparent that you support a President who disparages Hispanics. Guess what, you are going to lose a lot of local business.

Back in the early 20th century my father grew up in Nesquahoning Pa. Anthracite coal mining town. The Klan set up a Klaven there. It didn't take long for the people to find out who the Klan members were.
There were no blacks in Nesquahoning. There were a huge majority of Roman Catholics there. Irish, Italian, Hungarian, Ukranian, a few Jews.
The Klan members owned businesses in the town. Guess how long they remained in business once word got out that they were KKK?

Sharing public information is not doxxing, you ignorant fuckweasel. If you can go to a government website and search candidate+zip code and get a list of people, that information is sufficiently public. That's kind of THE ENTIRE FUCKING POINT of a public registry of donations.

Seriously, it took me all of 5 seconds to find the entire list of (recorded) donors over the past 2 years. And, prepare to have your mind blown, it would have taken 5 more seconds to simply remove the date range and get an entire list of (recorded) donors ever recorded.

Vaginas so sandy even Arabs would run away in horror.

What about this one?

"After today there is no longer any room for nuance. The President is a white nationalist terror leader. His supporters - ALL OF THEM - are by definition white nationalist terror supporters. The MAGA hat is a KKK hood. And this evil, racist scourge must be eradicated from society."

Hood is showing peak autism in this thread by demonstrating he has no concept of time, place or manner.

Hey fuckwad, let me try to put it in terms you might understand. Take a 1930s German village where everyone knows who the local Jews are. Then let's say that village is suddenly rocked by a shocking case of a Jew murdering a German. In the immediate aftermath of that incident, the local political leader stands up before a mob of enraged Germans, reads out a list of the names of all the Jews in the villages, and proceeds to call them evil enablers of the violence that just occurred.

Do you think your precious ADL would consider that a call to anti-Semitic violence? Or would they say "nah fam, the IDs of the Jews was already public knowledge, so it's all good. Buy some Maxipads for your bleeding vaginas lol"

Retard.

Tumbleweed,

As kargen said, mental illness is responsible for shit like that, not Trump. No reasonable person would walk away from a Trump speech and think, "wow, that just convinced me to blow up some Hispanics."

Yes, Trump does rail against illegals. I'd ask how that's any different from any of the other groups of people that have been demonized over the years, from CEOs and 1%ers to police officers and drug dealers.

As for the enemy of the people media, I'd point out that he only started with that rhetoric after the media embarked on a multi-yearlong defamatory campaign to portray the president as a literal traitor to America who is in Putins pocket and is compensated for his treason via golden piss showers. If the media doesnt like how they're now portrayed by Trump, maybe they should have remembered that talking shit tends to cause you to get hit.

”As kargen said, mental illness is responsible for shit like that”

If they are mentally ill, then they can’t get the death penalty, right? Part of Trump’s solution is to have them executed. How is he going to execute them if they are mentally ill?

And why is it that when a white boy murders dozens of civilians, including infants and children, they are labeled ”mentally ill” but when a person of a more brown skin tone do the same then no one says they are mentally ill but that they are terrorists?

Trump is not even a doctor or a psychiatrist, and hasn’t examined the shooters, so how can he say that someone is ”mentally ill”? Shouldn’t Trump just be quiet?

Every definition of doxxing is not limited to private information; identifying information is included. Compiling a list of names and occupations is doxxing, even if the search function is fairly trivial to use.

The context and venue of the posting is aldo important: he's racebaiting on a leftist shithole social media platform that likes to destroy livelihoods.

And occupation listings should be purged from the FEC database.

Rugian,

Your analogy is so fucking awful that this is the breadth of response you get. Well, ok I lied. I'll point out how terrible your analogy is AND I'll throw in a free "how do you manage to stay alive when you're this clinically retarded?" because you earned it! *thumbs up*

I'll also point out that mental illness is a scapegoat at best, and a nefarious lie at worst. The people who are going out and murdering people in multiples aren't mentally ill. Violent crime and mental illness are not linked in any way; there's no causation whatsoever. These people are, in terms of brain chemistry, completely fucking normal.

Twitter is a leftist shithole media platform? The founder and CEO is a complete travesty of a human being. And by that I mean that he shares many opinions that certain tards on this forum of the Republican persuasion voice.

That the list is very accessible and searchable is very important to this case; this is literally the function of the FEC database. It's to provide transparency in campaign donations. The data is meant to be accessible to anyone, to be shared.

"the media embarked on a multi-yearlong defamatory campaign to portray the president as a literal traitor to America who is in Putins pocket"

99% of stories they reported were true (w/ corrections when not, unlike Trump ever)

and he HAS been a traitor to America that whole time... he made a concerted effort to try to convince the public Russia didn't interfere (counter to unanimous conclusion of his intel community & based on NO counter-evidence) and he still basically is... he was incredulous at the notion Russia is interfering in 2020 when asked by a reporter, & treated it as a joke at last Putin meeting

plus never once has criticized Russia over it

also, his provable 'would'/'wouldn't' Helsinki lie should have been a massive story forever, that's Trump --purposely lying to the public to cover for him siding w/ Putin over America's intel community--

how is that not an enormously huge deal? ... yet Fox News accepted his ridiculously provable lie

(provable as he had claimed multiple times prior that he didn't think Russia would want him to win, that they'd want Hillary, plus the -entire- press conference he was siding w/ Russia over intel, he chose that one word as that was the one snippet media had been showing)

as to whether Castro's one tweet of identifying some Trump donors (which i -am- surprised he hasn't deleted yet)

versus

Trump's 4 years of whipping up hate & spreading false smears & accusations about a vast # of people, places & institutions

i'm certain who has done more incitement, as is any sane person

This is one of those sounds good on paper things but we all know how reality will bastardize the idea if it were ever actually considered. And I still think if the plan has any chance of working there shouldn't be an opt out option.
