Banning media companies from reporting on certain stories would literally save lives. How many more mass shootings will it take before the government steps up and passes speech control?!

Mass Shootings Can Be Contagious, Research Shows

There were three high-profile shootings across the country in one week: The shooting in Gilroy, Calif., on July 28, and then the back-to-back shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, this past weekend.

That's no surprise, say scientists who study mass shootings. Research shows that these incidents usually occur in clusters and tend to be contagious. Intensive media coverage seems to drive the contagion, the researchers say.

So the media should NOT report people murdered at Wal-Mart.

They should not show a picture of the shooter if one is available and should also not give his name.
Would also be better if they didn't report live from the scene right after it happened but reporting is more about ratings now than anything else so of course they are going live as soon as they can get a crew on scene.

Yet, millions of people do not go out on a shooting spree after media has reported on a mass shooting.

I think it is more like, one mass murderer triggers another mass murderer. I think it is the same for any crime. When someone reads about a great heist, it will trigger someone to copy it. With that said, not all mass shootings are done because someone saw a mass shooting on the tv.

But by now, people already now that if they are angry and frustrated and disappointed at something they can get their gun and shoot people. So the best thing now is not to ban freedom of speech but to ban guns, or at the least to ban easy access to guns as a start.

Guns still have nothing to do with fixing the problems.

Trump's comrade in El Paso noted Call of Duty fantasies so the gun IS in fact important to the thrill or appeal... even though you personally want to run over people or burn them

Another day, another shitty clickbait exaggeration from Rugian. *yawn* it's so sad how little self-awareness cuckservatives have.

The irony, if something like that occurs or had occurred under the current administration. Rugian would either support it because you know, he loves Trump. Or continue the bandwagon and blame Obama.

But it wouldn't be surprising as Rugian has been a contradicting, hypocritical cockbite for years now.

See you are still fixated on the how and not the why.
The gun is a tool. Take the gun away and they find a different tool.
Tell the people in Nice France that taking away guns prevents mass murder from happening.

One attack in Nice, no gun involved, and 86 dead 458 injured.

Want to guess what ended the rampage?

ITT, Dukhat calls NPR "clickbait."

As a conservative, I'm willing to accept that. Never change, you loveable idiot.
