Would also be better if they didn't report live from the scene right after it happened but reporting is more about ratings now than anything else so of course they are going live as soon as they can get a crew on scene.

I think it is more like, one mass murderer triggers another mass murderer. I think it is the same for any crime. When someone reads about a great heist, it will trigger someone to copy it. With that said, not all mass shootings are done because someone saw a mass shooting on the tv. But by now, people already now that if they are angry and frustrated and disappointed at something they can get their gun and shoot people. So the best thing now is not to ban freedom of speech but to ban guns, or at the least to ban easy access to guns as a start.
