I saw one of these deep fakes a while back and I was like OMG in a couple of years when this tech is mature we can’t trust even a video. Then I thought about it and realized, we don’t give a shit right now. People can look at the exact same video, a real one, today and the chips will fall along the expected front of the political/cultural war. Surely this will be disruptive, but we are already post-truth.
