a Trump tweet:

"Marco Rubio, what do you say to the family of Kathryn Steinle in CA who was viciously killed b/c we can't secure our border? Stand up for US"

(for those who don't know it was 100% clearly an accidental shooting, ~90%* of the distance the bullet traveled was after a ricochet off the ground, no way in hell he was aiming at anyone)

*that #'s going from memory, but i know it was high... hit the ground very close after firing

and just one of Trump's MANY lies about this case, it was a staple of his rallies, & in many other tweets

it's tw pointing out Trump is a continuous liar (it's my thing)

how often did he paint the guy as an evil illegal immigrant who viciously gunned down the pretty white girl?

(& he didn't stop after the trial evidence was clear)

and if he hears of this updated story he will again lie about it (and as Fox News will love talking about it, Trump probably will hear)

start the clock

nothing is stopping anyone from discussing the 'felon in possession of a weapon' verdict overturning

he claimed he picked it up & it went off... from that article sounds like some unclear jury instructions (which are what guide jurors to reaching verdicts)... personally i'd want more info than from a Fox News article on the issue if i cared about some meaningless person who clearly accidentally shot someone... but i don't

Seems like a pretty clear case of a DA going for a riskier charge when a more correct charge (some sort of involuntary manslaughter). If you charge with intent and intent is pretty sketch, well you're a fucking idiot.
