I'm becoming a business owner. I will be buying two PAPA JOHNS restaurants. This will incur almost half a million in debt and if Bernie or Warren get elected I'll be fucked but I have faith in Trump and the American people.

Congrats sd. Best of luck in your new venture of selling pizzas made by a racist to black NFL fans.

We didn't need even more evidence that you're stupid... but thank you for providing it.

True fiscal conservatism, going deep into debt in hopes of coming out ahead.

Best of luck!

Actually I agree with Hood, its beyond stupid to invest in the economy and try and be a business owner in an age where a far-left capitalism-hating socialist like Sanders or Warren.

The smart thing to do would be to park your money in undetectable foreign investment/deposit accounts and wait out the latest wave of leftist idiocy.

I've worked several security jobs after leaving the army went back to school a few years ago.

Part timers don't need insurance so I'll keep them under 25 hours and offer it to managers and full time supervisors.

The cutoff is 30 fyi, so keep them below 29.5 to avoid them rounding up

Why don’t you do as Donald the Trump instead? Borrow money and buy real estate property. All you’ve got to do is to lie to the bank.

Why is it that employers are both highly retarded and also scumbags?

-CR Combination of VA and insurance from employer.

-Forwyn I'm still keeping it under 25 which leaves some flexibility if unexpectedly busy.

-Paramount No I don't watch Racheal Maddow

-hood Don't know what you talking about. I've always gone out of my way to make sure I'm a valued employee usually by focusing on an important skill, bringing in business or working certain hours. If your employer does not value obviously you will feel that.

-I was explicitly warned "If you only pay min wage you will only get child molesters and drunks". Wages will stay the same $11/hr plus tips for drivers. $38K/yr for assistant mangers and $45/yr for managers. plus bonuses and benefits.

Why are you attempting to project this onto me? You're clearly a scumbag employer, looking to pay shit wages and screw people out of benefits. My observation that many employers treat their employees in the same manner has no implications on how my direct superiors value me.

Maybe don't be a cunt nugget?

I don't know if VA coverage is sufficient for superdude. The whole 'job-lock' issue was often mentioned, when we were discussing US heathcare for individuals who are not covered by employers or by govt. Remember how Fred was often saying that he trucks only because he prefers employer health insurance. Since then there was a big reform of that market segment, ACA, and later Donald and GOP changed some rules too. So I wanted to find out how superdude is going deal with it, when he leaves his other job to become a a small business owner

"screw people out of benefits."

Curious how quickly the Overton window shifts when you have an activist arbitrarily designate 30 hours as the cutoff.

Whereas someone working six hour a day previously had no expectation of full coverage, it is now expected to the point that you're "screwing them" if you don't.

Most of our new guys coming in would have rather been able to work a few more hours a week, HC or no. And they still get the 401k matching, after all.

Thanks, Obama

You say this as if people didn't abuse the old system to screw employees out of benefits. They did, and they were still cunt nuggets. It's almost like the old target for benefit screwing WAS those 6 hrs/day employees.

Naturally I can't speak for every company, but most PTers here are recent high school grads making $15. That usually only lasts until they're 21.

All the 30 hour cutoff did for them is ensure they get less than 30 until they get a FT position, whereas they may have been getting 35 before.

Yay for second jobs
