“The White House should be warned that continued efforts to hide the truth of the President’s abuse of power from the American people will be regarded as further evidence of obstruction,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a statement responding to the letter. “Mr. President, you are not above the law. You will be held accountable.”

If this were about getting the truth to the American people the Democrats wouldn't be doing all they can to keep their inquiry private. This is about them trying to control the narrative and leak out their version of "facts."

Nah they can keep the identity hidden and still have an open hearing. Of course if they thought releasing the name of the whistle blower would cause President Trump even a small amount of discomfort we would already not only know the name but have photographs.

That's a convenient euphemism for an embedded CIA agent with ties to a current Dem presidential candidate.

Not very respectful to actual whistleblowers, who get raided by FBI SWAT and thrown in jail or go into exile.

also i don't really get the efforts to smear the whistleblower as nothing is being accepted on his word alone, it's the facts which matter (& it's not just the call, which is bad enough)

they wanted Sondland for his first-hand knowledge, Trump blocked... who's the real one hiding stuff?
