So this idea was brought up a lot when Trump was asked how Mexicams would pay for the wall.

Basically it's a tax on sending money from the US to another nation.

I like the idea of say 7% tax on this.

I've also always been in favor a small tax on foriegn charities and use that money to fund anti poverty and emergency assistance in the US.

My concern would be how frequently/ easily it would be to get around it at what expense.

Such a steep tax would just drive money transfers underground, no?

idk, perhaps less than. Thats no more than a sales tax which are usually 6-8%.
