Allow me a moment to thank—and this may be a bit of a surprise—Adam Schiff. Were it not for his crack investigation skills, @realDonaldTrump

A circle jerk twitter link, jergul.

Seriously, Trump did Vindman a huge favor. How many of you even knew of his existence before his testimony? He is better off than he ever would have been remaining in his previous position.

Everyone will play this out like never possible months ago. I'd label Vindman a whistle blower, after all, he was the source. Why wasn't he being protected under the statute? Things aren't adding up for me.

Another thing: I'm skeptical about some of his achievements. Decorations for having been in another is only show dressing.

Pentagon bureaucrats love a chance to pin something on their uniform that makes them look impressive. Vindman was in the Army because of his language skills, not to play infantry target.

I've been trying to match up his resume achievements on a timescale with little success.

Purple heart citation: http://www...man-kicked-out-by-trump-2020-2
Are there additional pages to that citation? I dunno.

An Officer's blood drawn from a scratch earns a bandage and PH. Can you also imagine how many grunts have had their blood drawn by the enemy and never received a PH? I'd be one of them from a rocket in Nam. I'd bet he isn't wearing any metal around in his body as has been suggested.

It is my understanding that he was at his desk shortly after the incident. I wish I could verify that as true. Bully for that if he was.

Everything will dribble into the open in due time as Adam Schiff likes to repeat often, and then, my questions might get answers.

Yeah, that has been the left mantra for a very long time. "Anyone other than Trump" Personally I believe that attitude has been self defeating.

Everything that can be said or tried against Trump seems to have already been said or done. Good luck independent voter.

"maybe the DNC can do a dramatic reading of Stormy Daniels account of Trump's mushroom dick at the convention... would be more appropriate given they are public figures"

A senior FBI counterintelligence official who led the investigation of Hillary Clinton's email use and the investigation of Russian interference in US elections AND who served as a member of the Mueller special counsel investigation, who ended up losing his job after it was revealed that he was seeking abuse his position in order to "stop" Trump from becoming president, isn't considered a public figure? What the fuck?!

"[Strzok] was seeking abuse his position in order to "stop" Trump"

you went from inaccurate to just false... no proof of that claim whatsoever, requires the made-up assumptions of what the 'insurance policy' text referred to (which it clearly did not refer to)

no corrupt actions found in any report, plus i feel more bad for Page as she's even more innocent (not sure even any false allegations made against her) & she's already noted how upsetting Trump's cont'd unwarranted beneath-the-(once)-dignity-of-office harassment has been... what has she done to deserve this? privately disliked candidate Trump? so even if you don't care Trump lies constantly on issues both big & small, completely makes things up regularly, speaks & behaves like a child, is petty & vindictive, doesn't learn any facts or details about any issues, & trusts dictators more than our own people, can we at least agree he's not a good president from the stand point of not being a uniter?

It is my opinion, that if opposition to Trump voters want to increase turnout, in a reasonably effective way civility should be maintained. Valuable time is being wasted not encouraging the 40% who stay at home in general elections and less time bashing the opponent. The bases appear to be obviously unchangeable at this point.

Take some blame for the division and change direction. You aren't innocent by any stretch of the imagination for the divisiveness in today's political arena. It may be fun, but nonproductive as far as I can tell.

"you went from inaccurate to just false..."

How was I at all inaccurate in anything I said up until that point? I was reciting rote facts for fuck's sake.

By all means, tell me what in this looked "inaccurate" to you:

"A senior FBI counterintelligence official who led the investigation of Hillary Clinton's email use and the investigation of Russian interference in US elections AND who served as a member of the Mueller special counsel investigation, who ended up losing his job"

As for his comments, this is exactly what he said. Tell me if you think this is at all acceptable coming from a man as senior as he is in the national security apparatus:

'Page: "[Trump's] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!",

Strzok: "No. No he won't. We'll stop it."'

As for "corrupt actions," how about the entire plot to manufacture a narrative that Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the election? That kinda seems like a big one to me.

Finally on Page, "involuntary public figure" status is a thing. It happens to people all the time, even when they don't want it to. Sucks for her.
Rugian

And lol at finding a "uniter" for president. First of all, none exist, and none have existed outside of wartime (GWB between 9/12/2001 and mid-2002 is the only *possible* example in my lifetime).

Secondly, you act like it's up to a president to determine his public image. In reality, a lot of that is out of his hands, as hyper-partisan media play a huge role in shaping the public's perception of POTUS. No matter what, one side of the media or the other is going to treat the president as the spawn of Satan for the entirety of his administration.

If your criteria for "uniter" is an Obama-like person who can peel off 5%-10% of the conservative leaning vote while simultaneously dismissing the other 90%-95% as backwards redneck scum who cling to their guns and religion, perhaps you might understand why the 90%-95% are sticking so closely to Trump.

Here's a list of executive actions that "uniter" candidate Klobuchar is proposing to make in her first 100 days in office.

http://med...ys-first-100-days-b7adf9f91262

And here's the gay guy's website:

https://peteforamerica.com/

Feel free to point out anything on either list that would make your average conservative go "yeah, I'd be fine with her as president." It's a massive laundry list of typical leftwing proposals and unrestrained spending, with a few bones thrown to the Midwest in order to get voters there on board.

Sure, they're "unifiers..." in the same sense that Republican characters in Aaron Sorkin productions are "centrists."

You three arguing that the democratic candidate should be civil when Trump definitely is not going to take that route strongly suggests the democratic candidate should not do that.

Call Trump what you think he is would be my best advice. Civility can wait until the GOP fields a civil presidential candidate.

Bloomberg is the candidate doing this most clearly.

"Uniter" is ultimately grounded in the Constitution. It specifies a geographical spread between the president and the VP.

Running mates tend to balance out to appeal to a broader base.

The concept revolves more around the choice of running mate, than it does the actual candidate.

just in case Rugian is going to cite the FISA issues (which was only about Carter Page...)
...or for anyone else believes this FBI hoax/coup theory

the team-Trump/(Fox News) premise is there was no reason to open the investigation, all a hoax to go after Trump, so supposedly this is what the FBI did:

1) decided to remove Trump via a Russia collusion investigation, even though nothing suggesting it occurred (via premise)
2) corruptly obtain a surveillance warrant on a total nobody in campaign w/ no expectation of it yielding anything (via premise)
3) ???
4) Trump is removed from office for collusion

** fill in step 3)... and what went wrong

(even if they had framed Page [which they didn't] it's still hardly a good plan to remove Trump)

-calls for investigations into who started the Ukraine 'hoax' (of course)

-more Pelosi ripping nonsense

"Just like when President Trump tweets to get a reaction it almost always works."

HE'S NOT DOING THAT (or at least it's extremely rare)... unless you mean the reaction he seeks is people believing his lies & delusions...

the tweets i put here are serious efforts on his part to manipulate his cultists, & get Fox News to help him do so

your latest claim of tweets being meaningless was in regards to him attacking prosecutors/judge over Stone... calling the whole Russia investigation illegal, many good people had lives ruined, all the crimes were on 'the other side', yadda yadda

do you think that message is not sinking in to people? that's all just to troll media?

he will absolutely note that shit again when he actually pardons Stone (which he definitely will do)... plus he will continue to repeat it frequently as he has been doing continuously already... and idiots are believing it all, even though none of it established by anything

on Mueller:
==========
"ALL THE CRIMES ARE ON THE OTHER SIDE"
~Trump, May 6, 2019

"There was no crime, except on the other side (incredibly not covered in the Report)"
~Trump, May 5, 2019

"the bad actions were done by the “other” side? The greatest con-job in the history of American Politics!"
~Trump, May 1, 2019

"No Obstruction, No Collusion, only treasonous crimes committed by the other side, and led by the Democrats. Sad!"
~Trump, Sep 13, 2019

"So ridiculous to even be talking about this subject when all of the crimes were committed by the other side."
~Trump, Jun 16, 2019

"So many lives have been ruined over nothing - McCarthyism at its WORST! Yet Mueller & his gang of Dems refuse to look at the real crimes on the other side - Media is even worse!"
~Trump, Aug 19, 2018

<plus many many more similar...>

on Ukraine:
===========
"“There is no evidence of a crime.” Robert Charles, Fmr Asst Secy of State. The crimes were committed by the other side!"
~Trump, Jan 23, 2020

"There is no case, except against the other side!"
~Trump, Nov 7, 2019

"This is a horrible and very unfair situation. The real crimes were on the other side, as nothing happens to them. Cannot allow this miscarriage of justice!"
~Trump, Feb 11, 2020

"There were no High Crimes and Misdemeanors, except for those committed by the other side!"
~Trump, May 24, 2019

===============

as for "most not all", i saw no tweets w/ that...
i searched "other side" (exact phrase)

Trump's allies are trying to convince him if Stone not pardoned it gives credibility to the Russia investigation so expect pardon very soon... (even though the investigation was completely legitimate as determined by -every- investigation)

as for treasonous high crimes by 'the other side'... none established... (no crimes by any of the people Trump has accused established, w/ probably almost none even being looked at as completely baseless... which is CRAZY to be occurring)

"The President wasn't bothered by the comments at all and he has the right, just like any American citizen, to publicly offer his opinions. President Trump uses social media very effectively to fight for the American people against injustices in our country, including the fake news. The president has full faith and confidence in Attorney General Barr to do his job and uphold the law."

"how do i know this isn't true?"

Because you have read what I post. Show me one post where I say I believe what President Trump is tweeting. You can't. I say his tweets do not matter.

"the tweets i put here are serious efforts on his part to manipulate his cultists, & get Fox News to help him do so"

Mind reading again I see. You don't know his motive.

We do know the press jumps on damn near every tweet he puts out and the president does take advantage of that to control the narrative. For better or worse he likes fighting the press and his favorite weapon is his tweets.

yep I did. Seems I am guilty of the same thing you and President Trump are doing. I said just to rile up the press. I should have said mostly to rile up the press.
Point still stands his tweets mean nothing and should be taken no more serious than any other persons tweets.

I'm betting most people that voted for President Trump and are going to vote for him again don't pay attention to his tweets. I would bet a significant sum of money if the press didn't mention them most supporters wouldn't even know about a good number of the tweets.

And just a guess on my part but I think bots and people that oppose President Trump are a significant amount of his followers.

apply your 'logic' to this tweet (there was a worse one but couldn't recall it well enough to find it):

"
I got NATO countries to pay 530 Billion Dollars a year more, and the U.S. less, and came home to a Fake News Media that mocked me. Didn’t think that was possible!
"

- the figure is wrong
- it hasn't happened
- him deserving the credit is wrong

(the figure citing wrongly comes from a 10-year deal struck in 2014 - that's under Obama, w/ a prediction of what will be occurring by 2024)

is he trolling the media?

NO, he is LYING to make himself look good to anyone gullible to believe it, as he does continuously (no mind reading required)

(and i'm using 'lying' loosely here as i'm sure the ignorant moron has no idea what the truth is)

I went and looked at that tweet. It confirms what I suspected. There were tons more negative reactions than positive. President Trump's supporters are not for the most part following him on twitter. The responding articles I saw listed same or next day show me the press jumped all over it as quick as they could. He is playing the media most of the time.

thus he's doing a great job at presidenting...

is it so hard to imagine (& expect) a mature intelligent adult who just tweets out factual info? & at least tries to be as accurate as possible (rather than the -complete- opposite, ZERO effort to learn any factual info & deliberately inaccurate just to make himself look good, plus baseless accusations & childish smears against perceived enemies)

he still has no understanding of NATO funding... the simple concept of countries spending a specific % of their GDP on their own military... no one owes the US, no one ever delinquent... how does this fit your rile the media narrative? appear incompetent & stupid to the entire world to get media coverage?

also your weird-ass theory (which still makes him unfit for office) doesn't hold up for rallies, obviously the attendees are his fans, he's obviously intending for them to listen and absorb his total nonsense (-and they do-), even if media is present

I was thinking more along the lines people that suffer the same derangement syndrome that afflicts you line up just waiting to pounce on each and every tweet no matter the content.

I see his rallies as a circus and he is the ringmaster doing what he can to keep the audience entertained. Make of that what you will.
Nobody is going to his rallies to learn about his policies. Not much different than any other candidates rallies he is just better at it. The reason any candidate holds a rally is to boost enthusiasm for the candidates campaign.

you seem to completely ignore the CONSTANT LIES & MISINFORMATION that he is DELIBERATELY putting into the public sphere (NOT opinions, and NOT just for the 'left'... as if that would be fit behavior in any case)

the reason all of his fans are not following him on twitter is because he his fans include a lot of old people/farmers/bikers/miners types... probably not the best twitter-user demographics... not because he has sent them a secret message that his tweets are nonsense just to mess w/ the libs

you're fine w/ him being a lying fraud buffoon on twitter and at rallies, and an unprepared idiot when talking w/ other leaders, where exactly do you demand he be fit for office? just that he can occasionally read a speech off a teleprompter & sign bills Mitch allows through? is that all the requirements you have?

"you seem to completely ignore the CONSTANT LIES & MISINFORMATION that he is DELIBERATELY putting into the public sphere (NOT opinions, and NOT just for the 'left'... as if that would be fit behavior in any case)"

yeah, that has been my point this entire time. We all should ignore anything he says in his tweets. If we do not ignore them we should at the very most take them as entertainment. Don't put any importance to them and you will be much happier.

I'm fine with letting him tweet whatever the hell he wants. I also know how rallies work and if you think any candidate isn't up there spinning anything and everything to garner enthusiasm you are the epitome of naive.

this is crazy to start w/ (why is this a belief? where did this memo come from?)... plus he says the same shit out loud at rallies -AND- any time he speaks on camera, including on Fox News... so you can remove the "in his tweets" part, you're saying "we should ignore anything he says" period

see his rant the day after state of the union, that was speaking from the White House to a room of republicans... how does that fit your INSANE notions?

these are just his fucked-up ignorant mentally-ill fraud views, not tricks

Q #1: from what venue(s) where Trump communicates to the public, should he be believed?

(I would say none... whereas the opposite should be true, there should be no venue where you have to assume the President is speaking nonsense)

Q #2: name other countries where the populace should assume everything their leader says is meaningless (or just tweets, since you keep trying to limit it to tweets even though he says the same shit regardless of where he's communicating)

answer both, with no dodges
kargen

remember when I said context matters? Still does. Where he speaks doesn't matter near so much as in what context the words are given. The State of the Union address should be given more weight than something he says on the lawn before boarding Marine One.

#2 is just a bullshit question. never once did I say nor even hint that everything President Trump says is meaningless.

Think way way back to when you started the ride on your particular crazy train. You were and still are treating every little word President Trump speaks as if it automatically becomes policy. It doesn't and it isn't. I understand you can't distinguish between the two. I've tried to help but you will not take my advice.
Quit acting as if the tweets and rallies are gospel and you will be much happier.

You are saying President Trump is unfit to be president because you don't like the way he tweets or gives a speech. I disagree.

I wish he would lay off the tweets and have been saying that since he was elected. But what I wish doesn't matter and it isn't something that should get him removed from office.

so the only thing you can sort of cite is the State of the Union... him reading a teleprompter speech prepared by others

cite ONE PLACE where he speaks his own words where it should be believed... ONE PLACE (& should it be SO difficult to do so?)

name a governor, or a mayor, or a CEO, or a McDonald's night manager whose tweets & other statements are such worthless garbage that can't be trusted for a second

would Jeb! have had such a struggle to post accurate info & not childish insults, made-up bullshit, & baseless criminal accusations? would Kasich? would your neighbor?

it is a ridiculous situation

(plus you haven't addressed how he's totally unfit in private too... no preparation whatsoever for his 2 phone calls w/ Zelensky, covering no topic he was meant to... there is a very obvious simple pattern to the unfit fraud)

You are hopeless. I provide one example and you immediately decide it is the only I could think of and then go on to say it doesn't even count.

You are right I didn't addressed how he is totally unfit because I don't think he is totally unfit. You are the one that thinks that.

where can we hear from the President where the info can be trusted?

-------

"And how the fuck do you know there was no prep for the phone calls? "

i read the transcripts... as he repeatedly requested... there was nothing of substance, no info known by him (in fact, worse, he brought up total nonsense like Crowdstrike)

plus, i read the readout of what he was supposed to talk about... it wasn't there... him saying he has a good understanding of Ukraine by their contestants in Miss Universe was there though...

^Glad to see that Bloomberg's campaign of trying to pay content creators to make memes for him is paying dividends.

But the underlying message of that ad ("what are we teaching our children") becomes way more creepy when you remember that Bloomberg tends to think of every citizen that he governs over as being "children" of the state, to be parented and disciplined accordingly. For all of tw's bleating about Trump undermining "norms" or whatever, Bloomberg is 100 times the wannabe authoritarian that Trump is.
