Utopia Talk / Politics / Would a Boeing pull this off?
Paramount
rank | Mon Feb 17 00:27:13 2020 I know that it is much thanks to the pilot that it went well, but having an Airbus surely must help? Not sure a pilot could do this with a Boeing. Daayum... look at that landing. He is landing the airliner sideways! lol http://www...sideways-landing-a9338201.html |

rank | Tue Feb 18 07:05:05 2020 Do you have any knowledge whatsoever about aircraft or aviation? Or is this just another entry in your long series of America-obsessed ramblings? |

rank | Tue Feb 18 07:09:40 2020 I mean it's a cool video, but what on earth compels you to bring Boeing into this? Oh it's an American company. Coincidence? Any reason whatsoever to believe a pilot in a Boeing couldn't pull off the same maneuver? No. Could your agenda be any clearer? I Googled for 5 seconds and found this video. It's a Boeing landing sideways: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPn3MBNt7Rc |

rank | Tue Feb 18 07:17:54 2020 Planes are designed to fly in shitty weather and pilots are trained to land them. It looks cool but there's nothing unremarkable about the video. If Boeings couldn't land in a fucking crosswind, then there would be planes crashing every single day. It wouldn't even be newsworthy. |

rank | Tue Feb 18 18:37:47 2020 Yeah, I've been on airliners that have landed like that. Boeings, in fact. I'm guessing most people that have flown throughout their lives even a moderate amount have. |

rank | Tue Feb 18 19:19:17 2020 I was wrong. There seems to be two with swiveling landing gears. Boeing B52H and Lockheed Martin C-5 Galaxy. Of course they aren't domestic transports. |
