Let's see if we have enough bandwidth everywhere when more and more people have to stay at home:

http://www...ch-trifft-vorsichtsmassnahmen/

The spread of the coronavirus is becoming a stress test for Austria’s internet infrastructure, as internet traffic exploded virtually overnight. To protect the country’s capacities, the regulatory authority RTR has given the green light for certain online services, like video streaming, to be throttled. But Austria’s second-largest provider told EURACTIV that the country’s networks are not yet fully utilised.

The number of simultaneously running video conferences increased not only because of people working from home but also because many families and groups of friends can only communicate with each other via video calls.

In addition, people in isolation are increasingly using streaming services such as Netflix or Amazon Prime. Last but not least, the internet is an essential source of information, especially for those who don’t have a television at home. However, bandwidth is a finite resource due to practical hardware limitations.

To secure the Austrian internet, mobile network operators have been allowed since Wednesday to throttle certain online services (e.g. video streams) in case of an emergency, while other services (e.g. government information portals) are transmitted at a constant speed.

I can’t even imagine being so poor, I have to save money to buy 4 games. How would I look my wife in the eyes? UP if I am ever this poor, you have my blessing to put it a hit out me.

Without walls of text:

PC
- Witcher 3, rpg
- Grim Dawn, arpg
- Everspace, flight sim rogue-like
- Thea 1 & 2, light single player civ-style
- Rimworld, builder sim
- Borderlands
- Path of Exile, free arpg

PS4
- Nier Automata, action
- Days Gone, biker fps
- Marvel's Spider-Man, action
- Horizon: Zero Dawn, open world rpg
- God of War, rpg
- the already mentioned TLoU

HZD is likely to have a sequel coming out with the PS5. TLoU already has a sequal coming out in 2 months, barring delays. Spider-Man is just wildly enjoyable and has some of the best movement in a game I've ever played. Days Gone is just a fun zombie shooter. Nier Automata is one of the best stories I've played in a game.

If you haven't gotten to Witcher 3, do it. Do it for Yennefer. Also beware of Rimworld; it will suck you in. It will also turn you into a war criminal (if you aren't already).

” Oblivion and fuck is it fucking long. i havent even gotten to my first oblivion gate yet”

Oblivion was cool back in 2007-2009. The only thing I hated with Oblivion was all the Oblivion gates. And it was a lot of them. The main story was practically to close them down and stop the monsters from taking over da world.

Been replaying God of War on hard (I begin games on normal difficulty to enjoy the game without getting overly frustrated, then come back for more challenge). Really is a good game. And Chris Judge was a great call for the voice.

I disliked the 2.0 change that made hyperplane travel the main/only method of travel. Haven't played a huge amount since then. It didn't help that the 2.0 change also slowed down early game by huge amounts.

I am in my early 30's and feel like an old man when it comes to video games. I still like CS:GO and 4x games mainly. I like the retro stuff more. Just don't have time to finish something like the witcher.

I actually have an old CRT with original systems setup on my main property just for the total lack of input lag. But on the go, I use a Samsung OLED Tablet and a 8bitdo m30 (genesis shaped controller).

Replaying all the marios now. You can't beat the classics.

Dukhat actually has pretty good taste in games.

Now ive had a little more time than usual. So I've been trying to try out more games in series that i like.

In this case Dragon warrior/quest, so ive been playing DQ7 for ps1.

Holy shit is it long, its starts off like a dumbed down Zelda with out tools or bad guys, just simple tedious puzzles, some are spet of cool.

Then you start with your 2 party members. You start getting the hang of it go into the past with shard maps, save the town, return the future to see what happened and get more map shards to go the next land and repeat. Then you switch your party up and finally at whats called the beginning you can start changing your class....now we're talking at least 10 -12 hours in....

So Idk how long this game is. Its not that great. Its good/ok and if your a DW fan and have some time to kill id say try it out....it would be cool to have a DQ tactics sort of game.

After a 1 year pause I picked up Red dead redemption 2 again, the other day. I stopped playing it when I had played like 35% of the story.

Does anyone like this game? It is something about the game that makes it boring and kinda slow. Don’t know what it is. But I have decided to finish it now.

I also finished Fallout 4 recently, like 2 weeks ago. I bought it back in 2015 when it was released so it took me like 4 and half year to finish it lol. I stopped playing when I found my son at the Institute. I lost interest in the story then and didn’t care about any of the factions.

Finished Fallen Order last night. Final boss has an infuriating gimmick but overall a good game.

Read a lot of complaints about the game length, but if you're playing Master/Grandmaster difficulty (Grandmaster duh, Dark Souls veteran), it's not a quick play.

Haven't played vidya for a long time but might pick up a game to play until things return to normal. Heard a lot of good things about Witcher III and enjoyed the Netflix series. Would I miss out on much by jumping straight to III? Or should I try to get I and II first?

Just jump into III. And Witcher III is amazing, I was actually considering getting back into it since my work from home has been extended through the end of May.

I personally thought II was better (I dislike open worlds if exploring them isn't interesting of itself), but you can definitely jump right into III.

Part way through black Mesa, the source engine remake of half life 1. Very very good. Especially the xen levels.

What can I say, nostalgia.

I've started Disco Elysium now... sort of a classic RPG look and story (you're a cop in a dystopia who wakes up with no memory after an epic bender), but it has a pretty unique and very cool system in place. Also the writing is amazing. Seems like right up a lot of people on this forum's alley.

And if you just want to have silly good fun with friends who are also bored and quarantined: Human Fall Flat is a silly physics based puzzle game thingy that has a lot of laughs. Great to turn into a drinking game as well, as the way your charachters move looks like they are drunk anyways.

yea i watched until dawn several years ago. was ok. even tried watchin the dlc but the dlc was wack, couldnt even sit through 10 min.

games 2day r full movie experiences. its not a shame 2 watch it. i mean theres millions others doing the same thing.

bag of chips, watch someone play it, sometimes with sometimes without commentary, read a few comments, next video.

its awesome.

Okay. I have installed da game now and have read up on the character creation a little bit before launching it.

Came across this:

Unlike other role-playing games where you might take damage in physical fights, most of what hurts you in Disco Elysium is verbal. There is no traditional combat in the game. Instead, intense encounters take place in an exchange of thoughts, questions, insults, and more. Discussions can hurt your mind and body.

lol, I like this. I wonder if you can level up your insults so that you eventually can kill someone with one single insult.

Anyhow. My cafe latte is ready now. Time to lit a pipe, put on my detective's hat and launch da game!

"lol, I like this. I wonder if you can level up your insults so that you eventually can kill someone with one single insult."

It's not really like that... there's just no traditional combat system at all. Also combat is pretty rare. Everything is done in conversations (including physical combat) and with checks (there is dice rolling involved). Your choices in conversation will influence the difficulty of your checks both positively and negatively.

Also failure doesn't need to be bad... this is a game in which you won't be saving and loading all the time. You just accept consequences of the things that happen. I've only had to repeat things twice as I've died twice so far. And I've been tempted to load once or twice, but decided against it... the game is made to just play and accept the things that happen and the consequences of your choices.

I can see myself playing it a second time in a year time or so though, to do things differently.

"its been said a million times already. playstation is MASTERRACE."

PS is a Sony product. Sony is a Japanese company. Are you acknowledging the Nips are superior to the Chinks? I'd also hae the gooks ahead of the chinks. For the record, here are my East Asia power rankings:

1. Mongolia
2. Taiwan
3. Hong Kong
4. Japan
5. South Korea
6. North Korea
7. China

Witcher 3 is great
Horizon Zero Dawn is a good one

Played FF7 remake. It's great, but it was a little too short for me.

Last of us is pretty awesome.

If you like Dark souls, you should try Nioh 2. It was a pretty fun game, and challenging as well.

ya me plannin 2 get sekiro as well.

also a dark souls/ nioh type game.

its good 2 be a big boy gamer playin triple aaa movie quality games, unlike baby gamers stuck on shitty indies and 15 years ps2/ ps3 ported for there consoles...

platystation is also king of jrpg.

ima thinkin nier and monster hunter as well.

but budget is gettin drained now...
