What if this is all true but also we are in a completely virtual environment and the being trying to get rid of is a consciousness in an everliving dream? And outside of the virtual simulation is a 5d universe which we can't understand because we don't have the senses to do so and the being itself cannot understand because it's never been outside the simulation.

But one day he will eradicate us and the universe will die a heat death and the parameters of this universe will fade into absolute 0 entropy upon which random quantum events may set into cascade another big bang.

But the thing is, there is a way out of the dream for the universe. But the problem of stamping us and species like us out consumes all the attention of the universe. It is a problem that is ultimately meaningless and prevents the universe from waking from the dream ... or nightmare.

Or is he basing his beliefs on what he's hearing from his family? Maybe his 5'0" greasy-haired Chinese mother, who immigrated to the States 20 years ago but hates it here and still refuses to learn the language, keeps insisting that Dear Leader Xi has the situation under control and any efforts to suggest otherwise are nothing more than Western colonialist propaganda. And like the good unquestioning byproduct of communism that he is, Dukhat accepts these claims at face value.

I've posted multiple links from credible (or semi-credible in the case of the US intelligence community) sources that China is outright lying about its COVID-19 data. YOU'RE the one that is operating free of any facts or common sense.

The facts here are pretty self-evident at this point.

China massively fucked up the initial reaction to the virus, not just through lack of action or general incompetence, but with outright malicious actions such as jailing doctors who tried to raise the alarm. When it finally did recognize the severity of the crisis, it went in a massively authoritarian direction and implemented hugely severe measures which should frighten anyone who has any respect for the concept of human rights.* Now it says that it has pretty much stopped the progress of new domestic cases and deaths, but given the spread patterns of the virus that makes no sense whatsoever, and multiple Western governments and statisticians have said that they're full of shit.

These are the facts of the case, and they are indisputable.

* Granted, Dukhat and nimatzo don't, but seriously fuck them. If they hate Western values so much, they're welcome to go back to the shithole countries their families came from.

My ratings:

5, 4, 6, 3, 7, 2, 9, 1, 8.

So, the pretrilogy was worse, in my mind, than the post trilogy. But it was kind of an orgy of bad either way. Episodes 1-3 at least should get credit as being the superior trilogy for having a vision and a cohesive story to tell; they just did it poorly. 7-9 was a clusterfuck.

Not for me. I'll never watch the prequels again. They're utter trash on every single level. The new trilogy is far from perfect, and far from good, but still better than the prequels for me.

1-3 were okay. Not as bad as 8-9. Lucas just had a clear destination in mind without a clear path to the goal line. Therefore you wound up with a rotating gallery of villains who never obtained character development or justification for their goals (you can't count Clone Wars/books, the movies should be able to stand on their own - extra series are bonus), and even the core impetus for Anakin's fall was shoddy. Self-fulfilling dreams, and a woman who "gave up the will to live"? lol

The biggest quick improvement would be to cut Grievous - meme potential aside, expound on Maul and Dooku, don't off Maul (again, for casual viewers, Clone Wars appearances don't count), give them both more screen time and justification for existence.

Anakin needs more conflict and loss to justify his fall. Although his mama was well done, it's not enough on its own, and chicken/egg paradox dreams are laughable.

Maul was so bad because all he did was pace. He had no lines, he had no body language. He walked back and forth and fought. He could have been a reasonable character, but he wasn't.

Dooku only existed because Maul died. If Maul wasn't cast away so quickly, palpatine wouldn't have needed a new apprentice. And spoiling Dooku as the villain so quickly ruined any attempt to build up tension, to let the audience go "NO HE'S EVIL YOU IDIOTS!"

I think that the clone wars series proves that 1-3 we're good in theory; that is, they had a reasonable story to tell. But it certainly doesn't save them as movies. The movies were still awful. But so were 8 and 9. And 7 gets worse the more you think about it.

The first of every star wars movie is full of nostalgia so it gets propped up.

Episode IV was really campy but it had a young, prime Harrison Ford which really tied the whole movie together. Without him, the movie was trash. The Empire Strikes back of course cemented the series as a classic and nothing has come close.

I think the prequels are maligned and rightly so for a bad story but they did have a lot of fantastic world-building and were still relatively fun but really dumb films.

The sequel was just ruined by the 8th movie which was unbelievably bad. It was made by people who clearly didn't care about Star Wars at all and killed the franchise as a top property. There was little JJ could do to save the series. It was already fucked by how bad TLJ was.

Say what you will about the prequels, they at least had a coherent storyline provided by a guy who had a clear vision for the films. Sure the execution was terrible, but those movies did have an actual raison d'etre.

The sequels on the other hand are hot garbage. Disney clearly saw the franchise as little more than a cash grab and didnt even bother trying to come up with a suitable basis to justify a trilogy. Episode 8 really left nowhere for the story to go, and Ep 9 was just ridiculous. Resurrecting a character from the dead after the two previous movies did nothing to foreshadow his return? Are you kidding? JJ clearly didnt give a shit and the end-product shows it.
