last thread TJ posted "Trump is politicking with those tweets against Democratic Governors. I doubt he could be more obvious. The Trump administration has and remain continually promoting social distancing."

in reference to Trump's "LIBERATE" tweets

you'll have to flesh out your claim there if you think that's an adequate defense

maybe Trump should be on the same page as the Trump administration... they literally just gave out guidelines for reopening yesterday

did Mitch McConnell retweet Trump? did any respectable R? if just normal rational politics, why not?

so, unsurprisingly, we now know for certain he had no actual complaints whatsoever with those states (as he'd actually have to learn info which never happens)

he saw his fans in Trump hats protesting w/ "Liberate Michigan" signs or whatever, thought it sounded 'powerful' or just that he should agree w/ his fans & tweeted it out w/o any thinking at all... as happens often

...then added a couple more states w/ Dem governors, either because they've criticized him or just knows important election states

yesterday Trump (with task force) lays out the requirements states should use to reopen

this morning he watches Fox, and all-caps out slogans of protesters wanting to reopen 3 states immediately... is that consistent?... unifying?... helpful?... sensical?

tonight (with task force) his team still sticks to calling the guidelines being that of the president... and he pretends his tweets made sense by spouting nonsense and is not able to explain his issues with those states at all (other than general 2nd amendment complaints with Virginia which have no relevance)

is that reasonable or fit behavior? this is a politics forum, you are allowed to express an opinion... especially when it's so easy

THE 'PRESIDENT': Well, I don’t know too much about it, but I understand my name is there. I don’t know where they’re going, how they’re going. I do understand it’s not delaying anything. And I’m satisfied with that. I don’t — I don’t imagine it’s a big deal. I’m sure people will be very happy to get a big, fat, beautiful check and my name is on it.

Jesus TW has gone over the mental cliff.

"so, unsurprisingly, we now know for certain he had no actual complaints whatsoever with those states"

He flat out said that he thought that the measures enacted in those states were excessive. And no, that's not an opinion that he just randomly made up. I myself was critically posting about Michigan's measures on UP well before he let off those tweets.

"in reference to Trump's "LIBERATE" tweets

you'll have to flesh out your claim there if you think that's an adequate defense

maybe Trump should be on the same page as the Trump administration... they literally just gave out guidelines for reopening yesterday"

You can simultaneously for social distancing and against the specific measures enacted in Michigan, Minnesota, and Virginia. I realize your black and white "Trump bad / everything Trump is against automatically good" mindset will have trouble with that concept, but nuances do exist.

Also, your meltdown over Fox News in the previous thread shows exactly where your biases lie. Fox does have a slant in its coverage, but so do CNN, WaPo, the NYT, and all the other sources you find to be "reliable." The fact that you think a paper which literally came out with a campaign to rewrite American history in an SJW vein is "objective" while Fox News is "biased" for not attacking the president 24/7 shows how badly Trump Derangement Syndrome has destroyed your critical thinking skills.

Please consider retiring from covering politics. It's clearly not good for your health.

I mean, come on. A five-second google search would have easily told you what the gripes with the Mich/Minn/Virg orders were. Here's Michigan's for example:

"The furor began Thursday, when Whitmer signed an executive order extending her previous stay-at-home order through April 30. But it also went further — on a number of fronts — than Whitmer’s previous order, which took effect on March 24. Among those further strictures:

* No gatherings of any people who are not part of a single household

* No travel to in-state vacation or second homes

* Large stores can admit only four customers for every 1,000 square feet of customer floor space. And hardware and home-repair stores must close all areas “dedicated to carpeting, flooring, furniture, garden centers, plant nurseries, or paint.”

* No motorboat or jet ski use

Whitmer, a Democrat in her first gubernatorial term, defended the moves, among the most strict in the country, as necessary given the number of coronavirus cases in the state. “If you’re not buying food or medicine or other essential items, you should not be going to the store,” she said in a press conference following the release of the order."

"He flat out said that he thought that the measures enacted in those states were excessive."

able to cite NOTHING in specific... why couldn't he say? BECAUSE HE KNOWS NOTHING

by merely shouting "LIBERATE ____" he's either telling people to rise up in revolt of their governor or telling the governor to open up the state (that's what the protesters he's repeating want)... just a day after releasing process guidelines for doing so which they wouldn't have met

it is insane

if not, cite who else in the party repeated Trump's 'liberate' nonsense

i know Laura Ingraham is on board, her twitter feed is a total mess... anyone who's not a fucking disaster?

----

i am aware there was one juror (who became foreman) was found to have anti-Trump social media posts... a juror who was not removed by the defense despite them knowing some/all of the info that's been used against her... a situation that has been reviewed by the judge & ruled on (but i know you'll hate the judge as Trump & his propaganda team smeared her too)

do you think you can find a jury where no one is anti-Trump? would you let such a jury decide anything of consequence?

do you think Trump would -EVER- accept a guilty verdict or would he smear every judge/jury that ever saw the case? (it's the latter, w/ 100% certainty)

a fit president could actually explain what his issues were with those states... -it's so simple of an expectation-

i don't know why you fans accept such constant ignorance on everything

OBVIOUSLY, shouting "LIBERATE <state>" is an insufficient explanation of his issues... and even hours later he's unable to explain those issues

maybe adults or his Fox News shills have helped give him some answers for the next briefing (but it's not a guarantee that he can even absorb the info)... that's the typical process... he says something ridiculous & his defenders find a way for it to make sense on his behalf

Q The investigation into whether the virus escaped from this lab in Wuhan, how active is that? And when do expect to hear (inaudible)?

THE 'PRESIDENT': Well, we’re looking at that. A lot of people are looking at it. It seems to make sense. They talk about a certain kind of bat, but that bat wasn’t in that area. If you can believe this, that’s what they’re down to now, is bats. But that bat is not in that area. That bat wasn’t sold at that wet zone. It wasn’t sold there. That bat is 40 miles away. So a lot of strange things are happening, but there is a lot of investigation going on and we’re going to find out.
"

Pence still can't explain Trump's LIBERATE! tweets even today:

Chris Wallace interview on Fox News:

...
But Mr. Vice President, in a number of these cases these protesters, who are not social distancing, are saying they don’t want to wait. In many cases they are protesting your own guidelines to stop the spread,” said Wallace.

He brought up the president’s “LIBERATE” tweets and asked about the disparate messaging.

“What does the president mean? Because you’ve got guidelines calling for social distancing and staying at home. Even your new guidelines to reopen the country are very phased and gradual,” said Wallace. “What does the president mean when he says ‘liberate’ these states?”

“The American people know that no one in America wants to reopen this country more than President Donald Trump, and on Thursday the president directed us to lay out guidelines for when and how states could responsibly do that,” said Pence, continuing not to answer. “And in the president’s tweets and public statements I can assure you he’s going to continue to encourage governors to find ways to safely and responsibly let America go back to work.”

“When the president speaks about reopening America, it’s all about encouraging governors as soon as they determine what’s most proper most appropriate, to be able to do that and do that quickly,” said Pence, apparently arguing that screeching “LIBERATE” is that encouragement to act reasonably and responsibly in due time.

North Korea on Sunday dismissed as “ungrounded” President Donald Trump’s comment that he recently received “a nice note” from the North’s leader, Kim Jong Un.

Trump said during a press briefing on the coronavirus pandemic Saturday that “I received a nice note from him recently. It was a nice note. I think we’re doing fine.” Trump also defended now-stalled nuclear diplomacy with Kim, saying the U.S. would have been at war with North Korea if he had not been elected.

North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that there was no letter addressed to Trump recently by “the supreme leadership,” a reference to Kim.

It said it would examine why the U.S. leadership released “the ungrounded story” to the media.

Anyway, what's the point you're trying to make with the Liberate stuff? You keep insisting that he can't possibly have any details to back up his statements, which is foolish since there ARE details that make those states stand out.

I even posted the details for one of them.

You've even acknowledged that Trump has provided details for another of them (while somehow simultaneously claiming he actually knows nothing...how does that even work?).

Maybe it's reasonable to say that banning people from even visiting their neighbors takes the social distancing thing too far...but no, since Trump's against it you won't even acknowledge that the argument exists. It's crazy.

the LIBERATE protesters want the state open completely

Trump (the 'President') sees them on TV & immediately shouts "LIBERATE ____" on twitter for 3 states, noting 2nd amendment issues for Virginia [as he can't mention Virginia w/o mentioning them... like he can't say 'rocket' w/o mentioning Kim Jong Un, or 'perfect' w/o mentioning the Ukraine call]

at press briefing he's only able to say 'some states went too far', he can't provide -any- examples

so how in the hell is shouting "LIBERATE <state>" a clear indication that he has issue -only- with some unspecified issues that you seem to know about but he can't even list

to an outsider who doesn't watch Fox News, those tweets sure sounds like he's simply agreeing with the protesters who object to everything... as is the OBVIOUS implication of them... there is no way "LIBERATE!" is a targeted complaint about a few things but not others

(plus just yesterday he said something like 'i stand w/ all of them' regarding the protesters, in yet another nonsensical position, trying to be on all sides as usual)

------

if a fit president had issues w/ specific actions taken by those governors he WOULD cite the issues (or say nothing publicly)... this is OBVIOUS

and i did -not- say Trump provided details on any of them, i have not said Trump has provided (factual) details on any issue ever as he hasn't (except possibly when poorly reading something written for him)

he cited vague 2nd amendment complaints (which is in the tweet so saying again at briefing adds nothing)... the 2nd amendment is hardly relevant to the LIBERATE protesters even though he wants it to be, & there is no indication he knows what people are actually upset about in Virginia... no doubt, just like LIBERATE, he saw a Fox News outrage segment about Virginia & new gun law proposals but is mentally incapable of absorbing the info

here's his looping answer from yesterday, no real need to read it just posting as said i would :p

he ended briefing w/ a question from OAN (no surprise) which was some hack question about how he's unifying the country... he rambled about that then continued on to this:

"
And I’ll say one thing about — because I think it’s important. The last person — I did it early, but I was the last person that wanted to close down one of the great economic — you can’t call it an experiment, but everything, I guess, in life is an experiment. So I say experiments. But one of the great economic stories in history. I’m the last person who wanted to do it.

But we did the right thing, because if we didn’t do it, you would have had a million people, a million and a half people, maybe 2 million people dead. Now, we’re going toward 50, I’m hearing, or 60,000 people. One is too many. I always say it: One is too many. But we’re going toward 50- or 60,000 people. That’s at the lower — as you know, the low number was supposed to be 100,000 people. We — we could end up at 50 to 60. Okay? It’s horrible. If we didn’t do what we did, we would have had, I think, a million people, maybe 2 million people, maybe more than that.

And you look — there’s one country in particular that decided, “Let’s wing it. Let’s just keep going.” They are being inundated with death. Now, if you take a look at some of the hospitals where — one of them I knew growing up in Queens, and I’m looking at the bodies laying in hallways, being brought into refrigerated trucks. The trucks — these massive trucks, bodies going in. Multiply that times 10. It’s not sustainable.

And many of the people that have this theory, “Oh, let’s — you know, maybe we could have just gone right through it,” I was — I was somebody that would have loved to have done that, but it wouldn’t have been sustainable. You can’t lose a million people. That’s more than — that’s almost double what we lost in the Civil War. I use that as a guide. Civil War: 600,000 people died. So it’s not sustainable. But it could have been much more than a million people.

I mean, if you took a number and cut it half, and half, and in half again, you’d end up at 500,000 people — okay? — if you want to make a very conservative guesstimate. Five hundred thousand people is not acceptable. Is that a correct sort of an analogy?

So, I mean, I see it all the time by friends of mine, by people that I have great respect for: “Well, we could have done this. We could have done…” And remember this: When we say 50 and they compare 50 to the 35 of the flu — because it averaged 35, 36,000 over a 10-year period. It’s a lot. Who would think that? But we’re not talking about with the flu. That’s just — it just goes. We’re not locking ourselves in our units. We’re not locking ourselves in our apartments and not moving and not touching anybody, and just saying — you know, the world. In this case, we are. And we’re still going to lose between 50 and 60.

But if we just kept it going on a normal basis, which is really the only standard that you can compare it to with the flu, because that was a normal basis. You get into an airplane, you travel to Florida, you go to Texas. You go wherever you’re going.

But, in this case, if we didn’t do anything, the number wouldn’t be 50 to 60,000. The number would be a million people dead. It would be a million-five, a million-two. Maybe 700,000. It would have been a number in — like that.

Because — because — and it’s so important because I see so much: “Oh, well, you know, they can…” You can’t compare it, because I’ll tell you what: The people of this country, what they’ve done — they’ve gone out of their way — what they — the way they’ve lived, it hasn’t — it’s not — it’s not great. It’s terrible. Maybe the first three days, and then all of a sudden — you see what’s going on; they want to get going. And I get that fully.

But I just say this: If we would have done that, we would have lost anywhere from a million to more than 2 million people. Now, with all of the death that we’ve seen — and 50- or 60,000 people, heading toward — right now it’s at 40. But 50- or 60,000 people; probably over 50, from what I see. But that’s with our guard up. If we took our guard down and just said, “Okay, we’re just going to keep this open,” we would have lost millions of people. Can you imagine?

Look how bad it looks now, when you look at the bodies. When you look at Hart Island in New York, where they have the mass grave, and all of the things that you see. Can you imagine if we had the guard down, if we didn’t do anything and we just said, “Let’s ride it out”? It would not have been sustainable in any way. It would have been an atrocity.

So we’ve done the right thing. We’ve really done the right thing. And the people that have worked so hard — and dangerously. I’ll tell you — again, I say it, but I watch those doctors and nurses and medical people running into those hospitals, and they don’t even have their gear on. Forget about gear, whether it’s great gear or not. And we’re bringing in the best gear in the world. But they’re running in with open everything, and they’re pushing. I mean, the job — they’re like warriors, the job they’re doing.

But if we didn’t do the moves that we made, you would have had a million, a million and a half, 2 million people dead. So multiply that times 50; you’re talking about — you would have had 10 to 20 to 25 times more people dead than all of the people that we’ve been watching. That’s not acceptable. The 50,000 is not acceptable. It’s so horrible. But can you imagine multiplying that out by 20 or more? It’s not acceptable.

so... Trump leads a briefing =to inform the public= & decides to ponder that if focused light & disinfectant can kill the virus on surfaces, what if you shine light inside the body & inject disinfectant into people?

so... the piece of shit press secretary says he was 'taken out of context'

so... as usual, Trump never on same page as his excuse makers, -ridiculously- claims he was being sarcastic (go watch the tape... there is ZERO chance of this)

so... Dr. Birx (i don't like her) claims he was just still digesting information & musing about it (which is true, but NOT acceptable at a briefing -to inform the public-)

Trump is UNFIT for office

please defend him claiming sarcastic if nothing else... and dickbag Geraldo says 'well, of course he was being sarcastic'... presumably that's the whole Fox line (WATCH THE TAPE)

Maryland also put out a statement not to ingest disinfectants

as did Lysol

"We had hundreds of calls in our hotline here in Maryland about people asking about injecting or ingesting these disinfectants, which is, you know, hard to imagine that people thought that that was serious. But what people actually were thinking about this, was this something you could do to protect yourself?" Gov Larry Hogan, a Republican, said in an interview on CBS.

A few companies put out a statement. It went something like this.

MSNBC idiot calls Lysol spokesperson. Says hey can we get a statement on if it is safe to huff Lysol. Lysol spokesperson says don't huff Lysol it isn't healthy. MSNBC reports Lysol releases statement saying don't huff Lysol. MSNBC fails to mention statement was in direct response to the stupid fucking question they asked.

"so... how is Joe lying? and i notice you both skip Maryland"

Maryland was in my quote. You are the mind reader. You tell me how many people called Maryland because they saw President Trump and how many because they saw a report on the news.

"and why did Trump decide the briefings weren't helping?"

If you remembered your history you would know this. Early in his presidency the press wasn't covering daily briefings. President Trump announced that daily briefings couldn't be covered live and all of a sudden damn near every news agency was showing the briefings in their entirety. CNN, MSNBC and others have been saying there is no reason to cover the current briefings for a couple of weeks now. President Trump now saying maybe they are not needed will goad the press into demanding they be given. When/if they start up again that same press will then have to start giving full coverage again.

"Um, the Press aren't the elected President of the USA"

You are correct. I had to read up on my civics to be sure though as it is so rare you be correct about anything I wanted to double check. You know what the press is suppose to do? have they been doing it?
The answer to the 2nd question is no. I suspect the if you answer the first question honestly the answer would also be no.

I'm not defending President Trump. I am saying the press has a major role to play in this mess and they are doing a piss poor job of it.

plus there hasn't been a normal daily press briefing in over a year & no reason to believe there'd have been a change if no virus... he's sure building the suspense (plus they -were- airing them still at the time they stopped)

the virus briefings started w/o him much, but he had to get in on the action as he hates others getting the spotlight, yet he provides nothing of value... the only chance of accurate info is the stuff he (poorly) reads off paper at the start which hardly requires his presence

1.5 of Trump's top advisers get the axe on Fox
(more evidence of Fox turning into the fake news liberal media/enemy of the people):

"
Fox News has cut ties with MAGA vlogging superstars Diamond & Silk, who had contributed original content to the network’s streaming service Fox Nation since shortly after its late 2018 launch.

The sudden split comes after the Trump-boosting siblings have come under fire for promoting conspiracy theories and disinformation about the coronavirus. “After what they’ve said and tweeted you won’t be seeing them on Fox Nation or Fox News anytime soon,” a source with knowledge of the matter told The Daily Beast.

After rising to prominence during the 2016 election, Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson leveraged their newfound celebrity into regular sycophantic appearances on Fox News, resulting in President Donald Trump raving about their performances, featuring them at rallies, and treating them as “senior advisers.”

The social-media personalities were eventually tapped to provide weekly videos for Fox Nation after it launched as a subscription-based online video network. Their episodes, essentially 5-7 minute distillations of their freeform live-streams, appeared like clockwork on the streaming service until earlier this month.

No new episodes of their online program have been uploaded since April 7, as CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy first noted over the weekend. Prior to this month, the duo never missed a week posting episodes since December 2018.

A spokesperson for Fox News did not respond to a request for comment. Diamond & Silk also did not reply when emailed by The Daily Beast.

The sisters’ Fox guest spots have also dried up recently. According to a search of TVEyes, a cable-news monitoring system, Diamond & Silk haven’t appeared on the network since a March 6 interview on Fox & Friends and a March 7 hit on the now-defunct Fox Business Network show hosted by Trish Regan, who was also ditched by Fox after her own comments calling the pandemic an “impeachment scam.”

Diamond & Silk have used their heavy social-media presence to be at the forefront of right-wing misinformation about the COVID-19 outbreak. For instance, during their March 30 livestream, the duo claimed that the number of American coronavirus deaths has been inflated to make Trump look bad.

“What I need to know is how many people have passed away in New York, and what I need to know is: Who has the bodies?” Diamond asked. “I need for somebody that does investigative work to call the morgues. To call the funeral homes. We need to know, because I don't trust anything else that comes out of his mouth now... Something's not right here. Something is off here.”

She added: “Is this being deliberately spread? Look, I’m not being a conspiracy theorist, this is real, but I’m asking my own questions. What the hell is going on?"

Silk, meanwhile, baselessly asserted that the disease was “man-made” and “engineered,” wondering aloud if there was a “little deep-state action going on behind the scenes.” She also questioned whether the World Health Organization had a “switch” to “turn this virus on and off?”

The pair would go on to question the death toll in other tweets and video posts, asking at one point, “Why did they have to inflate the numbers?”

A day after Diamond and Silk’s last Fox Nation episode was posted online, Twitter removed a post from the pro-Trump sisters calling for people to expose themselves to the virus that has now killed more than 55,000 Americans. “The only way we can become immune to the environment; we must be out in the environment,” the since-deleted tweet read. “Quarantining people inside of their houses for extended periods will make people sick!”

They followed up that deleted tweet with an April 10 live stream that featured the pair pushing even more unhinged conspiracies and dangerous commentary, such as saying they’ll refuse to take any coronavirus vaccine that tech giant Bill Gates was involved in because he’s pushing for “population control.”

“Kudos if you make your vaccines for people and you want to help people,” Diamond exclaimed. “But I have a problem receiving any vaccine from any entity, especially anybody like Bill Gates who pushed for population control. The same thing that Margaret Sanger pushed for.”

“Abortions! Genocide!” Silk shouted in response.

During the same broadcast, they also openly wondered whether 5G technology was being used to infect people with coronavirus in an effort to fill “empty” hospitals, suggesting that the “deep state snakes” were building towers in certain areas to “turn things on and off to make sure that certain things go down so those hospital beds can be filled?” Conspiracy theories linking coronavirus and 5G have gained more momentum lately in fringe far-right media.

Fox News has largely remained quiet on any controversy sparked by the duo, noting in the past that the siblings aren’t technically full-time Fox employees but are more akin to independent contractors as they pay them to license their weekly videos for the streaming service.

They are trying to create a bigger panic so everyone will want the Covid19 vaccination. The vaccination is filled with nano technology that will allow the government to track us.
I know, I know what the hell does this have to do with 5G? Well the expert went on to say anybody that was saying 5G caused the corona virus is ignorant and an idiot. All the leading experts know 5G actually rearranges our DNA making us more docile and easy to control.

"Had the Department of Justice (DOJ) released the newly disclosed documents related to Gen. Michael Flynn three years ago, instead of fired FBI Director James Comey improperly leaking his “memos” on President Trump, there definitely would have been a special counsel — only it would have been investigating the FBI for gross abuse of power, not the Trump administration.

The new documents are in effect the “smoking gun” proving that a cabal at the FBI acted above the law and with extreme political bias, targeting people for prosecution rather than investigating crimes.

DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz found 17 violations of policy and procedure in the initiation of the investigation of Trump’s campaign. Former special counsel Robert Mueller’s report found no evidence of any Trump-Russia collusion. And yet much of the media coverage of all this has been so riddled with bias that, in a recent poll, 53 percent still believe Trump colluded with the Russians to win the 2016 presidential election.

Let’s remember how this all started: The principal evidence that prompted the FBI to open the overall investigation into Trump has been definitively determined to be the Steele dossier. We now know, based on recently disclosed footnotes in the Horowitz report, that the dossier was discredited by its own sources and may even have been deliberate Russian disinformation. After receiving this information, the FBI’s top brass — even after learning that the dossier was paid for by the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign — opened a broad investigation into Trump and his campaign.

Michael Flynn was targeted for investigation not on the basis of any evidence but simply because he had contacts with the Russian government — something that I would hope would be true of any incoming national security adviser. Those also targeted included former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, campaign adviser Carter Page and Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen. The new documents reveal that, despite a thorough investigation of Flynn, there was no evidence suggesting he was a Russian agent — again, not surprising that it turned out this decorated general was not a Manchurian candidate. One FBI memo just released recommended closing the investigation of Flynn on Jan. 4, 2017, because FBI agents found “no derogatory information.”

But then-FBI agent Peter Strzok intervened with the idea that the never-used Logan Act could be invoked against Flynn; Strzok was cheered on by then-FBI attorney Lisa Page. All this led to a meeting at the highest levels of the FBI that included the director and the FBI’s head of counterintelligence, who took copious notes. It is in these notes that he reflected the discussion that took place about Flynn, writing, “Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute or get him fired.” No constructional protections were afforded Flynn, who was even advised by the FBI not to bring a lawyer when he was questioned by agents.

Let’s be candid — Flynn had been cleared of being a Russian agent on Jan. 4, 2017; there was never any evidence he should have been investigated in the first place. Yet now, because the investigation had not been officially closed, FBI officials cooked up a plan to try to create a crime that did not exist. They unmasked the private conversations of Flynn with the Russian ambassador that contained nothing illegal, so the only chance to “get” Flynn was by setting a perjury trap. This was then all picked up by special counsel Mueller’s team, who threatened Flynn with the possible lobbying transgressions of his son.

Why were they desperate to get Flynn fired or prosecuted when there was no evidence whatsoever that he committed a crime? Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy suggests they needed to get him out of the way of their investigation. I think it is more likely that they simply wanted to get their targets at all costs and sustain their investigation to bring down the administration. Clear prosecutorial abuses were committed against all of the defendants, none of whom were ever charged with colluding with the Russians. Manafort was hit with tax evasion, Stone with lying to Congress about his contacts with a conspiracy theorist. Cohen pleaded to financial and election law crimes. Carter Page escaped prosecution, even after an FBI lawyer faked emails from the CIA to continue unconstitutional surveillance of him.

This was an investigation without foundation that systematically persecuted people at all costs. And the Mueller investigation was honorable only in the sense that the investigators had to admit there never was any evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.

It is all coming out now, but it is way too late. Attorney General William Barr seems to see this all very clearly, but the time to act with tough indictments is truly now, with the release of these explosive documents. The actions in the Flynn case provide the link between the Strzok-Lisa Page texts about “insurance policies” against Trump’s election and actions that were indefensible on every level; they show how the two of them acted in concert to extend their political prejudices to the department’s actions against people who were in no way colluding with Russia. It did not matter to these FBI officials, who acted as though they were above the law: They would get their targets and drag the country through years of a meritless investigation and a false political debate."

"DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz found 17 violations of policy and procedure in the initiation of the investigation of Trump’s campaign. "

all regarding FISA warrants on nobody Carter Page, with no allegation of corrupt intent.. but let's not note that as it harms the narrative being pushed

"Former special counsel Robert Mueller’s report found no evidence of any Trump-Russia collusion. "

False

"Let’s remember how this all started: The principal evidence that prompted the FBI to open the overall investigation into Trump has been definitively determined to be the Steele dossier"

let's not remember that as is a completely false narrative pushed hard by liars

<that's as far as I read, maybe will read more later, although so far it's garbage>

as for Flynn, if there's actual FBI misconduct why isn't it corrupt Barr or Wray saying it, instead just the usual pro-Trump shill suspects claiming it

there's not much more in the article beyond more opinion, and misrepresentation (like the "insurance policy")

i noted this before, but the Trump propagandists are doing the EXACT thing they complained about... the real media created stories during the Russia investigation (that were mostly true, & retracted quickly on the rare case they were not)... then Mueller found insufficient evidence of conspiracy, & the nutters said the real media was lying the whole time

well, all this time team Trump has been saying the investigators were criminals, w/ multiple Devin Nunes nonsense shit & other things... so Fox & such running w/ stories on all these incidents that supposedly show the FBI was corrupt... yet no one is being arrested, or even charged as it's all bullshit spin (so it's way worse than the complaints about the real media doing real stories... Don Jr -DID- set up that meeting w/ the sole purpose of getting dirt directly from the Russian gov't [as far as he knew], Trump DID have a secret tower deal in the works, etc)

whereas on the liar-side we get 'Comey admitted the Steele dossier, which started everything, was unverified!'... well it didn't start everything, & it was known from the start it was unverified... if it had been verified, that would be some serious shit (very early on even Steele estimated 70% accuracy)...

and they used that at least twice, there was another round of 'xxxxx shows the dossier was unverified!'... plus there's been a continuous claim that the dossier started everything so they can say Hillary paid for it, thus it must be false & all a hoax (people always pay for false oppo research after all)

anyway... enough of that rant no one will read :p

if this actual witch hunt ends with Comey getting arrested (there's NOTHING even suggesting crimes so far, despite the constant claim of Comey being shown to be a dirty cop by the 'President')... it will probably be a scary situation rather than any justice being done

another thing that i've been meaning to complain about...

Trump continues to claim 'the cupboards were bare' about medical supplies, suggesting Obama admin to blame

well, he's been in office 3 years... if there were bare cupboards, it's been his responsibility for awhile

if the virus didn't come along, those cupboards would've been just as bare for the next administration... so is that still Obama's fault for some reason?

----------

(and as he claims this at the same time as above):
he complains of inheriting faulty tests from Obama... this is Trump being a fucking idiot in a different way

his little brain can't keep track of complex thoughts or even non-complex ones... what he's trying to recall is one adult noting the government had no system set up for mass testing... he can't keep track of that fairly simple notion... so he's changed it to 'tests were faulty' (has said it repeatedly)... obviously there were no faulty tests or any tests at all as COVID-19 didn't exist

build the wall, ban all muslims, lock her up, repeal & replace, call was perfect, cupboards were bare, tests were faulty...

thoughts can't be more than 3 words i guess

he is an idiot, a liar, a child proven repeatedly
wholly unfit for office

The fact that we're blessed to be witnessing this incredible time in America's history live is just such a blessing.

A group of RINO Republicans who failed badly 12 years ago, then again 8 years ago, and then got BADLY beaten by me, a political first timer, 4 years ago, have copied (no imagination) the concept of an ad from Ronald Reagan, “Morning in America”, doing everything possible to....

....get even for all of their many failures. You see, these loser types don’t care about 252 new Federal Judges, 2 great Supreme Court Justices, a rebuilt military, a protected 2nd Amendment, biggest EVER Tax & Regulation cuts, and much more. I didn’t use any of them....

....because they don’t know how to win, and their so-called Lincoln Project is a disgrace to Honest Abe. I don’t know what Kellyanne did to her deranged loser of a husband, Moonface, but it must have been really bad. John Weaver lost big for Kasich (to me). Crazed Rick Wilson....

....lost for Evan “McMuffin” McMullin (to me). Steve Schmidt & Reed Galvin lost for John McCain, Romney’s campaign manager (?) lost big to “O”, & Jennifer Horn got thrown out of the New Hampshire Republican Party. They’re all LOSERS, but Abe Lincoln, Republican, is all smiles!

The President Is Not Well: The umpteenth reminders of Trump’s mental state and the consequences

Every parent has warily confronted the hypothetical question: What would you do if you suspected your child was unwell?

Not physically, but emotionally unwell, or mentally unstable? Imagine learning your teenager, for example, had been yelling demeaning slurs at the girls in his class, harassing them and calling them names.

And that he’d been secretly using his social media accounts to go on late-night rants against perceived enemies, attacking their looks, and again, calling them names in unending, seething, rambling posts.

Or that he’d been increasingly susceptible to bizarre and otherwise implausible conspiracy theories, and was spreading them unprompted to anyone who would listen.

Presumably, you’d be very, very concerned. These aren’t normal behaviors, nor are they signs of a well-adjusted, healthy and happy person. They are, rather, signs of a person who has lost the ability to manage their emotions.

If this were your child, you’d intervene as quickly as you could, getting them the help they clearly needed.

Likewise, if this were your friend, you might suggest they see a therapist to work through some of their anger issues. If this were your coworker, you’d probably alert someone in human resources.

And what if this were the president of the United States?

Not only are these behaviors the norm for President Trump, but they seem to have worsened at one of the most precarious and critical times for our country, as we face a global pandemic that has killed nearly 70,000 Americans.

Less than two weeks after unimaginably suggesting injecting disinfectants might help kill off the coronavirus, the past few days have seen him spiral out of control, proving utterly incapable of staying focused on the biggest crisis a president can face. Instead, he has:

• Spread unfounded conspiracy theories about the origins of the coronavirus, about former President Barack Obama and about an MSNBC cable-news host;

• Made statements that can only be described as delusional, like comparing himself to Abraham Lincoln, inventing a non-existent letter of apology from Joe Biden, and spewing non-science about his favorite drug, hydroxychloroquine;

• Attacked two female reporters for doing their jobs, lamenting that they didn’t behave like “Donna Reed,” an actress synonymous with the gender role-abiding, kitchen-dwelling 1950s housewife she played on television more than 60 years ago;

• Attacked another female cable-news host, calling her a “3rd rate lapdog”;

• And in the middle of the night on Tuesday, at 12:45 a.m., gone on a 234-word rant on Twitter, complaining about an ad released by a Republican anti-Trump group whose leaders include George Conway, husband of his staffer Kellyanne, in which he used words like “deranged loser of a husband,” and “Moonface” to describe him.

It’s a frightening commentary on the slow normalization of this completely abnormal behavior that we can greet the undeniable deterioration of the president of the United States with mere shrugs. And the only concerns from his inner circle seem not to be about the mental instability itself, but the political ramifications of it being exposed in daily press briefings.

My new favorite Trump momment: Contradicting the first-hand experience of a nurse regarding availability of PPE...on National Nurse Day. LOL.

"PPE has been sporadic"

-Nurse

"Because I've heard the opposite. I have heard that they are loaded up with gowns now. We had empty shelves and empty nothing because it wasn't put there by the last administration."
