Anyone with kids needs to keep them away from this shit. #BoycottDisney

----

AUGUST 10

Disney+ users are alarmed by an update to the 2002 animated film, “Lilo and Stitch,” which now features a scene in which the movie’s child protagonist jumps into a pizza box.

The scene, which occurs about 19 minutes into the film, originally showed Lilo running away from her big sister and jumping inside of a washing machine.

However, keen viewers spotted a subtle animation change which has swapped the washing machine for a pizza box, a detail some claim is symbolism meant for pedophiles.

The scene has received renewed interest on social media in light of the viral anti-child trafficking hashtag #SaveTheChildren.

“Boycott Disney they are pedophiles we have the original movie and Disney+ made updates tell me y’all why is this there if it’s not real wake tf up I will be deleting my Disney+ account #savethekids,” one person wrote on Facebook.

While we're talking about Disney though.

Whats the deal with the last trilogy? Is it really being wiped from cannon?

"Whats the deal with the last trilogy? Is it really being wiped from cannon?"

You mean 7-9? God willing.

Just googled it, apparently it was just rumors.

Whatever. I'll pin my hopes on Mando. Hopefully they will lean more into tv series than just movies.

I may also be one of 4 people who actually liked Solo, and really wants to see what happens with Emilia clarke and darth maul.

Kudos to you for still being able to get invested in the franchise. That part of me died with the prequels, and Disney has been pissing on the corpse ever since.

"Emilia clarke"

As lovely as it was to see her fun bags, she has no business being an actress.

We may not be able to reach any agreement on this.

I prefer episodes 1-3 to 4-6. I know, blasphemy.

Also, your just talking nonsense agaimst Emilia.

The scene in the movie as originally released in theaters in 2002 showed Lilo hiding in a clothes dryer, but DVD versions distributed in Britain in 2010 showed her hiding in a cabinet with a pizza box as a cabinet door. Disney edited the movie to get a “Universal” rating in the United Kingdom after the British Board of Film Classification raised concerned that children would get the idea to hide in dryers, which can be deadly.

For once Kargen is correct. Kids hiding in dryers could be deadly. This is a child safety thing, even if it is stupid overreacting.

I mean, Peter watches, laughing, as topless mermaids attempt to murder Wendy in the Peter Pan Disney movie.

The moment I read what the original scene was, my dad instinct went "that is highly inappropriate". Every year children die in dryers and washing machines. I thought this was common knowledge.

Yes but unlike Peter Pan and topless mermaids, dryers and washing machines exist in nearly every home where there are children. It's not an epidemic, but it happens regularly.

Nimatzo when did you become so risk adverse?

Should we also get rid of guns in movies because they might inspire real world violence?

Generally not too many guns in modern day kids movies...

Anyway, for Nimatzo:

A disturbing number of kids—more than 2,000 each year—are seriously hurt, and a few die, after reaching, climbing, or falling into washers and dryers or toppling down from them.

Meanwhile, fires involving clothes dryers injure more than 2,900 and killed at least 5 people each year.

Its actually more dangerous just using a dryer normally than hiding in it.

"

That's off topic. I totally agree with Nimatzo. I have lil ones, and that is unnecesarily putting VERY repeatable behaviour in a kids** movie.

I wouldn't want my daughter or nieces watching a similar video that had kids playing a game where they stuck forks in the outlet either.

I didn't realize that movies were supposed to be childproofed. Someone should have told the maker of every Disney film that had the heroes engage in violence at some point about it.

Rugian ,Well the issue is two fold.

1. We are talking kids movies.

2. We're not saying all violence is bad. What the issue is over is easily repeatable behavior.

Kids especially like to repeat certain behaviors they see in shows. Shows they will likley watch dozens of times over, I cant tell you how many times I've seen the Lorax , polar express, Ballerina and home.

Its no harm to watch a mouse drop a piano on a cat from the top of the Empire state building but two kids sticking silverware in the socket is easy to copy.

Unexpected that Rugian is such a Disney movie fan that a minor change to Lilo and Stitch has triggered the fuck out of him.

"Kids hiding in dryers could be deadly."

Turn that bitch on for a brief second the first time you catch them climbing in.

Not deadly anymore

Dukhat, Ok, well Disney is a little evil. Nothing to do with pizza.

But you can't equate Mr. Rogers with Disney.

”Its actually more dangerous just using a dryer normally than hiding in it.”

This isn’t true, unless you think children hide in them at or near the same rate as mommy and daddy uses them. Which is not likely. It is actually a very low rate of fire and relatively high for children to get injured or die.

True, like placing door locks on utility rooms and closets. Nowadays you can even put locks on the machines themselves. What is the life of your young child worth?
