rank | Tue Sep 15 12:32:30 2020 This shit is a cult. We deserve it though. We allowed our public education system to brainwash a generation of children to believe in this anti-American garbage. Now that those children have grown up, why WOULDNT they want to continue propagating this false rhetoric? |

rank | Tue Sep 15 12:39:24 2020 Mexitard is telling the unpopular truth, why would the president of the United States be held responsible for any federal agencies? |

rank | Tue Sep 15 12:53:00 2020 I went to google wtf is happening with CDC, can you believe this is what they seem to be concerned about, at this time? And not about the diversity blog that Sammy found? http//www.cnn.com/2020/08/26/politics/cdc-coronavirus-testing-guidance/index.html! Anyone has hopes that Biden’s CBC will be any better? I don’t, this is partly why I think US should be done with federal elections. I hope I do not throw out baby with the bath water, but you know I am not wrong |

rank | Tue Sep 15 13:37:48 2020 Is this a continuation of the joke that BLM protests in particular don't count as a significant COVID-19 threat because the un-provable and statistically unsubstantiated threat of systemic racism and widespread white supremacist policing consists of more of a health threat than a pandemic? "Over 1,000 health professionals sign a letter saying, Don't shut down protests using coronavirus concerns as an excuse" [CNN, June 5, 2020] http://www...ts-coronavirus-trnd/index.html "Instead, we wanted to present a narrative that prioritizes opposition to racism as vital to the public health, including the epidemic response. We believe that the way forward is not to suppress protests in the name of public health but to respond to protesters demands in the name of public health, thereby addressing multiple public health crises." ..if so, it makes sense.. from a certain (Sith) point of view. That is, if they accept the narrative of systemic racism, then it's their duty to the health of the population that they take training that helps them better address this "narrative" of "public health". Of course, this is insane, and with that sort of stretch of logic they may as well make "media manipulation" a public health threat since media manipulation has people rioting in the streets whenever a police officer kills an idiot. That would at least be more intellectually sound. Or maybe educating people on how to not attack police would be a duty to public health? An abysmal education probably represents a more significant health threat to the U.S. since it enables riots and critical race theory training. |

rank | Tue Sep 15 14:44:29 2020 Damnit, CC beat me to it. To add to his point, that letter went even further in saying "while we do recognize that protesting for racial justice IS a matter of public health that should be allowed to continue even during a pandemic, we do NOT recognize that same need for tolerating protests against the lockdowns, which are rooted in white nationalism and run contrary to respect for black lives." In effect, these health professionals were attempting to arrogate for themselves the right to determine which protests should and shouldn't be allowed, using the cover of "public health" as justification. People like to think of scientists as if they're all capable of putting themselves above politics. In reality, they're just as susceptible as the rest of us to being radicalized by Buzzfeed and CNN. |

rank | Tue Sep 15 15:34:08 2020 The "Divergent" franchise might get some extra popularity due to that. Part of what made it a dystopian series was that the "Erudite" class (mainly scientists) thought that they should have control of society. It sounds great in theory, until you realize that many scientists have an underdeveloped sense of social realities and an absolutist sense of correctness. That's sort of why the story advocated for a stronger general education to create well-rounded citizens. |

rank | Tue Sep 15 18:56:29 2020 and related to CrownRoyal's article... the Trump campaign guy, now HHS spokesperson who is altering CDC info said this recently: “I don’t like being alone in Washington,” Caputo said, describing “shadows on the ceiling in my apartment, there alone, shadows are so long.” + other crazy shit about CDC working against Trump & hit squads planning to kill him http://www...wejhvxd2urwyq3iqpju-story.html so many great appointments into our gov't being made by Trump! |
