Well. This is still a big if because this assumes they win the POTUS AND the Senate.... Otherwise Doesnt seem much they can do.

But the retaliation threats are

1. Pack the court. Unlikely to be popular at all , long term its a disaster for the Dems.

2. DC and PR statehood. DC will not become a state if Trump gets his pick in.

PR could. That's not necessarily a slam dunk for the Dems like DC is though and the SC wont allow DC statehood.

So there best bet is PR statehood from what I can see.

Did I miss anything?

Popular vote and allow people 16 or over to vote. Colorado joined other states in agreeing once enough states join to have 270 electoral votes they will give them all to the candidate that wins the popular vote.
There is an initiative on the ballot to reverse the decision but I doubt it will pass.

People be like, "We want more options than a two party system" but push for a popular vote system

The retardation is strong

Ranked Choice Voting would be more inclusive to other parties. Requiring 50%+ to win any election.

Expand the Supreme Court
Then Statehood to DC and PR

So PR as 51 , which the, Im not totally against, Or we could just give them sovereignty but anyway.

PR and the state's that giventhere EV to to the PV winner. I googled it apparently a bunch of states did this ( almost all liberal states) but Im notnsure if its actually happening or not because of so why bother visiting Colorado?

Jergul, Even if DC and PR were states the Republicans still have a large advantage in the Senate, so they can effectivley still control the SC more often than not.

I doubt that, but lets just leave it at less often than now.

well You can doubt all you want, its all but cemented that the R have an advantage in the Senate and the D's have an advantage in the House of reps.

The Republicans have gained Senate seats.in the last three elections.

PR isnt a guarantee of D senators like DC is.

some people have thrown out the idea that theyncould have 3 California's meaning 6 senators.

Try to keep track of your own arguments ok?

What can the DNC do?

It can expand the SC
It can add DC and PR as states.

4 more predominantly democratic senators improve the rural disadvantage a site I check every day has an article on.

I find the assumption that rural hicks will remain stupid forever as rather insulting btw.

Higher education will eventually change that voter group too as the 7th grade max education peeps die off.

Jergul, A discussiin on said options comes afterwards.

I merely pointed out that

1. PR isnt ad much of a guaranteed D seat as DC.

2. Packing the court is unlikely because odds are they will still lose the Senate more often than not.

Packing the courts gives DC state status.
PR is like California level Democrat then?
Are the odds such with PR and DC statehood?
Will rural hicks remain ignorant retards?

The last one seems unlikely. Education and death helps mold populations. Even rural ones.

Now apparently the Dems can make shit more difficult by what's called a quorum call.

Basically the Senate needs 51 Senators present to function. If one democratic Senator says to ask for a quorum call that means to conduct business the Reps need 50 Senators ( Not sure if Pence counts) which ilduring an election year means that's a bunch of Senators not able to campaign in person.

So not a block, but they could make it difficult.

"Popular vote and allow people 16 or over to vote"

Sheer lunacy. If anything, voting age should be raised to 21. Snowflake college students clearly dont have the maturity required to determine who gets access to the nuclear codes.

Jergul. IKR, But this is a tactic that will gum up the gears because the dems only need one senator present and they will draw some senators away, so thisnfavors the dems.since they already have slight lean in there favor for the Senate and they are not trying to pass anything.
