I like that at 0:02 the guy filming was in the line of fire and said, "Watch the wheel! Don't shoot the wheel," (i.e., don't shoot my car) instead of thinking maybe that he was in mortal danger and shouldn't be in that spot.

Anyways, probably not a good idea to walk aggressively towards police while brandishing a knife. Just a thought.

It looks like a pretty big knife on top of everything: maybe 8–10 inches based on the rear camera angle.

The riots may be sponsored by more of the Trevor Noah "social compact" logic; if you perceive injustice, you can do whatever you want.

It's pretty awesome because it's not even possible to apply justice on the timeline that rioters demand. The Philly police shot Walter Wallace on Monday afternoon, and it would probably take days and weeks to formalize charges, set court dates, etc. Meanwhile, rioters have a sweet spot of ignorance and emotional reaction where they can surrender accountability and Purge for a little while. Blessed be our New Founding Fathers for letting us Purge and cleanse our souls. Blessed be America, a nation reborn.

basically I see it like this.

1. Riots will deter/slow voting innthe afflicted area.

2. It reinforces the narrative that these democrats are burning/destroying our country, which has seemed to be an effective way to swing some voters ( defender of the suburbs and all)

Yesterday when police announced the number of arrests in the Mon-Tues looting,charges were for “burglary”. And in the directive, @phillypolice point out no calls for burglary will be responded to by the dept.&officers think that leaves no deterrent to stop looting

Send in the national guard, round them up. If it still isn't enough, then that would count as rebellion and you could send in the US military.

In reality, police stick together and arrest a handful at a time, leave them locked up until the violence stops.
