Utopia Talk / Politics / Who is voting in early elections

Im trying to find a list of the key states and who is voting in these early elections.

I see a lot of speculation that blacks and young voters are voting due to registrations but other than Florida which the numbers are favorable to Trump with low black and young turnput compared to what Biden would need.

I hear a lot about Texas but the only good data we have seen has been again positive to Trump compared to the polls which are terrible for him.

They compared early voters now, to who vted in what primaries in TX.

Now, TX is a an open primary but, Trump won his primary in TX by 94%. Reaisticly how many Biden. Voters are going to go and vote Trump in a Primary?

But for the most part I just want data, the polls are very much contrary to these limited findings.

But younger voters tend.to be less reliable, I seen a poll saying 63% said they were " definitley" voting up from 40 some last election, but that still doesnt meam they will.

The media is too obsessed with polls.

Trump is gonna win. Nuff said.

Definitions of poll: the place where votes are cast or recorded —usually used in pluralat the polls, the total number of votes recorded.

He may win superdude, but it will not be by winning enough votes to beat Biden.

It will be by excluding enough votes to beat Biden.

The vote loss rate for people planing, but failing to vote on election day for circumstansial reasons is not to be sniffed at (I am trying to flavour my tests with respiratory words because fucking covid)

Also, the ass and twat washing toilet is installed.

I may covert to sunni-sufism. Who thought wiping excrements on your body with paper on a semi daily basis is a good idea?

Cultural muslims got it right!

Those two things are not mutually exclusive with vote suppression. That you seem to think they are says a lot.

That you seem to think systemic vote suppression is statistically significant says a lot.

"He may win superdude, but it will not be by winning enough votes to beat Biden."

That is actually the only way he can win is by getting enough votes to beat Biden. In this case it is 270 votes.

This is where you say the US is a republic, not a democracy?

First sentence here is funny. I found it after I last posted.

Systemic voter suppression is much more statistically significant than the non-existent voter fraud that the Republicans always claim when they attempt to suppress the vote.

But Foreskin is objectively a moron anyways. All the evidence of voter suppression won't sway him. Just memes and other things on social media that already conform to his narrow world view.

Jergul, That article is retarded.

"People who say that the U.S. is a republic and not a democracy apparently haven’t heard of ballot measures. Every year, some states1 allow citizens to bypass their elected representatives and weigh in directly on an issue "

The US is a democratic Republic. Like most modern " democracies" have varying degrees of both.

Yes we have sirect ballot initiatives, But I don't even know of any major pure* democracies. Its sort of like Capitalism vs Socialism....every major country has a mixed economy just to varying degrees.

Hillary netted about 600,000 votes versus Trump in the dallas houston corridor. Now Biden is netting over a million. Texas is going to be close.

Five Thirty-eight is retarded. When was the last time the US had a national ballot measure?

They managed to self-own themselves within the first sentence there lol.

"evidence of voter suppression"

Crying about long lines, that are uniformly in urban shitholes in an election with record voter participation.

Having to show IDs, show up in person.

Boo. Fucking. Hoo. People use to ride horses twenty miles to the county seat and publicly Hancock the ballot.

y2a, But it isn't necessarily* voter suppression either.

1. We have possibly the highest turnout of any modern election.

2. Things also take longer because of precautions.

3. Depends when. Its one thing if its routinely hours and hours , but you know our sensational loving news will pick from like ooening morning of early voting or whatnot.

habebe,

in theory yes, you could make the argument that it is really due to the incompetence of voting administration. the problem is that all facts point to an active effort to stop certain people from voting. if they wanted to shorten the lines then why is it that in Texas the governor forced only 1 drop off location per county (with multi-million voters in Houston, Dallas and Austin). why in Georgia are voting locations cut in population centers? we all know whu and it gets pld reading posts by ppl like Forwyn trying to play dumb.

Republicans Seek To Toss Out 127,000 Ballots In Democratic-Leaning Texas County
November 1, 202011:16 AM ET
ALANA WISE

Republicans in Texas have asked the courts to toss out some 127,000 early ballots cast by voters in Harris County, arguing that the votes — delivered via drive-through in the heavily Democratic area — violate the U.S. Constitution and should be deemed invalid.

The plaintiffs argue that the drive-throughs are an illegal extension of curbside voting, which is available at all county voting locations and is designated for people who have an illness or disability.

The Democratic Harris County clerk, Chris Hollins, dismissed the lawsuit as "baseless" in an interview with NPR's Weekend Edition.

"This is simply an un-American attempt to disenfranchise voters," he said, noting that no one knows whom the ballots were cast for and that rejecting them would likely affect thousands of Republicans too.

U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen in Houston, seen as a deeply conservative federal magistrate, is set to rule over the complaint.

Throughout the campaign, Republicans and President Trump have baselessly claimed that various efforts — particularly mail-in voting — intended to accommodate voters amid the coronavirus pandemic pave the way for fraud.

Election security experts have repeatedly said that there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud, though there are active attempts to sow disinformation among the electorate.

The case of the Harris County ballots is set to be heard Monday morning.

Hollins said on Sunday that he expects to win, but "in a totally extreme downside scenario, we would need to encourage those 127,000 Harris County voters to come back out on Tuesday and cast a provisional ballot to make sure that in any circumstance their vote was counted. We're hoping it doesn't come to that."

y2a, The Trumpers can point to a handful of anecdotal bouts of fraud too. Accident or fraud? your opinion often tells your political affiliation.

The left cries suppression, even with it being the easiest election to vote in ever.

The Right cries fraud when generally the fraud numbers are not high enough to swing most elections.

You point out TX. Well lets look at how is the TX curvside voting any different from CA Republicans collecting ballots " officially"?
