I would have chipped in for the PPV in 2003. Not today.

Wow, $50 to watch. Maybe people are starving for some sport entertainment and they get decent numbers, but man, seems like a lot for the right to watch two elderly men fighting
Im better then you

His coach is a legend within MMA, Rafael Cordeiro.

Tyson has dropped like 100 lbs apparently. But i don't keep up with boxing enough to pay 50 bucks. Everytime ive paid to watch fights i get burned by ridiculously short fights.

$50 is pretty cheap, I took the kids out to burgerking the other day and it was like $40 plus gas.

Tyson was on par with Michael Jordan and Gretzky as a kid as larger than life figures. They really don't have anyone these days that are that singular or as high on a pedastool. And as such holds an awe of nostalgia.

George Foreman once said Tyson was a monster and he wanted no parts of fighting him.Thats quite the endorsement.

Foreman in his prime would have done to Tyson what he did to Joe Frazier.

Ali in his prime would have carved Tyson up like a thanks giving day turkey. Marciano would have just beat him to a pulp.

"Marciano would have just beat him to a pulp."

LOL. Are you a dago?

Marciano is one of the most overrated fighters of all time. I agree that a lot of former and current champs would have smashed a prime Tyson. Not Marciano. Prime Tyson was a small heavyweight by today's standards. He still had 25+ lbs of muscle on Marciano.

PAtom just has some crazy hard on against Tyson....

Tyson was a passion fighter, quick and hard....Ill take Foremans own words on the fight nevwr happened.

How old was Foreman when he made that statement?

This was a few years ago, talking about the past.He also said he thought Mike feared him as well, but none the less, that's quite an endorsement.

Dont get me wrong, some like say Mayweather wpuld.beat Tyson, but Mayweather is a boring fighter, he is great at winning but a complete snorefest.

Mayweather has never lost, gotta give him credit.

And I do. But remember the old Street fighter kind if games from when we were kids?

Remember how in some you could do some cheesy move on repeat, thats what it's like watching Mayweather fight.

I pay to be entertained, not to watch someone win.

"Undefeated 49-0

History will never forget Marciano's two great decision victories over 68-loss fighter Ted Lowry (couldn't even KO him LOL).

They all faced some nobodies at some point in their career. I'd put Marciano's opponents up against Tyson's any day of the week.

Tyson wasnt perfect, his KO ratio was pretty good ( less than Foreman or marciano) but nobody hit harder, not even Foreman.

Also Tyson had like half of KOs in the first round.

Back to Mayweather for a second, he is a better boxer than McGregor, hands down. But he isnt a better fighter and he isnt a tenth as entertaining.

Now, Im not gambler, I find it dirty.

But is there a way online to place small bets?

Ill bet PAtom $10 on Tyson beating Jones.

Not surprised jake paul won. He is a dick but he used to wrestle in college. Definitely not a pussy

Officially it was a tie. Reality says Mike won, but he also got old and lost his KO power.

Which btw, I recant my statement from earlier. Tyson would have destroyed Mayweather prime vs prime. I forgot mike had 70 lbs on him.

This is such a silly thing people still say about Tyson, "he only faced nobodies". That is how good he was he made the competition look like fucking nobodies. So, when people say that, it is a testament to how dominant a fighter he was.

Except Tyson was knocked out by one of the nobodies(Buster Douglas).

And he got the absolute shit kicked out of him by Lennox Lewis.

Douglas beat more than Tyson, he did hold the heavy weight title.

Tysin was the first to have all 3 belts at the same time IIRC.

Douglas beat Tyson, and held the title belt for all of 8 months before losing it to Holyfield. He then retired after that fight.

You don't understand striking. Some nobody can land a lucky strike or in other ways get lucky, but you don't luck out and dominate like Tyson did. And this is especially the case in the heavy weight division of combat sports that involve striking. They burn fast and hard, but because of the forces involved, yea one shot and it's good night.

Tyson's problem was that if he did not knock the guy out in the first 5 rounds or so, he would tire out. The Lewis fight is a perfect example. First few rounds were even, but Lewis dominated the last 5-6 rounds, eventually knocking Tyson out.

Several of his fight went for far longer than that, but I think it is survivorship bias. Most of the people he met did not last longer. Also we are looking at was was the end point of his career.
