Some may recall my suggesting adding deactivated (dead) baker's yeast to your diet.

My justification then was for the Bxxs + fiber with an underlying assumption that we are not getting enough mold in our diets.

Turns out betaglucan 1,3 - 1,6 in certain structures very likely primes our immune systems (macrophages, neutrophils, cytokines some T-lymphocytes) in a good way.

Specifically, you are looking for deactivated Saccharomyces cerevisiae. In tablet form it is branded "NBG".

And yah, it also helps with cholesterol.

Two hypotheses for why it works:

1. gb 1,3/1,6 with a certain structure closely resembles the structure contained in poisonous molds. Eating it primes the immune system to fight off an attack and provided an evolutionary advantage.

2. gb 1,3/1,6 used to be so common that it became a useful trigger for an optimized immune system. Deficiency then would give a suboptimized system. Something problematic only in the modern world.

So, am I getting these good things with my morning raisin bran cereal?

Not really. Add a tablespoon of deactivated bakers yeast on top of the raisin bran each morning.

KISS.

But there may be something to those hipster raw beers. Deactivated is just due to some outlier yeast infections that can occur.

Do you reccomend vaccinating your public at a rate befitting a civilized nation?

Vaccination is a means to an end - to keep people from dying from the disease in question.

I recommend keeping people from dying as a rate befitting a civilized nation.

How is that working out for you?

Yawn...deflection.

Vaccines allow people to not die while coming outside of their basements and living a normal life. But sure stay locked down.

Indeed deflection. You have a monsterous death toll, so pretend other metrics are more important than people not dying.

Now, I get that self-isolating is hard when you live in your car or your parent's basement. That is however not how Norwegians live in general.

Sure, capitalism failed. It is however not a failure of Norway that the US has adopted communism. That, my friend, is a failure of you that you wear like a badge of honour.

Still, it is early days. We will bury you soon enough.

Rugian, Your welcome.

Jergul, You still havnt elaborated on that yet.You have said you think the US will flounder, but you havnt explained the details, like a failure of production or vaccinne hesitancy etc.

Vaccine hesitancy + regime distrust + local distribution issues.

Well we will see.I think vaccine hesitancy is less of an ossue than people think, and not exclusive to the US as its often described.

Regime distrust in terms of a vaccine promoted by both regimes seems like a non issue.

Local distribution is a mixed bag. The UK has done good at that with NIH, and surprisingly West Virginas plan to use pharmacies did very well.

We all know your preference for centralised governance.

Vaccine hesitation includes people thinking they prolly already had covid, to don't want/need a vaccination. Or people who think it is good enough to just do one shot of a two shot regime.

Regime distrust is its own catagory stems from infecting people with syphilis, then leaving it untreated just to see how the disease plays out. Or people thinking they might get deported if they get the vaccine.

Local distribution issues also involves stuff like people not having time between work and picking up children, and under servicing poor neighbourhoods.
