I bought this one:

Good reviews. Apparently a popular brand, so if you a real coffee nerd there are ones with more settings. For our purpose this is close enough to heaven :)

Grind your own coffee, use a moccamaster with a paper filter.

Are any of the components that contact the hot liquid made of plastic? Be careful. Xenoestrogens.

Real niggas don't drink espresso anyway. Matcha >>

Conclusion

Unfiltered brew was associated with higher mortality than filtered brew, and filtered brew was associated with lower mortality than no coffee consumption.

Italian company. Don't you know that Italy is out of money and soon the whole country will be bought by China now that Trump can no longer protect Italy?

If and when I start to let this little turd you just left here affect me life, I will just put a filter over my cup. In the mean time. Sir, how dare you?

I also have a Moccamaster and drink Swedish coffee, Jergul. I shift between Arvid Nordqvist Classic and Zoega’s Mollbergs Blandning.

Moccamasters are great. The one I had 1996-2019 was great and worked fine...except that the on-off button kept falling off at the end. So got a new one.

But you have to grind the beans. It makes a world of difference.

I know. I felt bad. Note the decrease in mortality compared to non-drinkers. I jot that down to hydration. Never be dehydrated. Live forever.

I did grind my own coffee one time. I got one of those old manual grinders from my grandparents. It was probably from the 40's or 50's or maybe older. It was made of wood except for some metal parts of course. It looked hipster. I tried it a few times but it took too long to grind the beans. I know there are electrical grinders today. Maybe I get one some day.

thanks Nim, this looks good. I just realized that I need coffee machine, not espresso machine. Atm i grind the beans (not espresso fine grind, coarser) and then use mocka pot, Bialetti or something. It is good cofee, I think, I am not a real afficionado. But it is tiresome sometimes, this process. I tried a fuckin nespresso pod at friends house, I swear it was better than whatever the fuck i brew.

It, also, works as an ordinary coffee machine. Grinds the beans and makes a full cup or two.

I used to have a culinary that ground the beans, had a water hookup to like a fridge does.

So are you all wired up on espresso?

When I was younger I drank like a 16 oz cup of all espresso and felt terrible. Stomach was off, I was all shaky amd twitchy....dumb move.

I guess one of these days I will need to try an espresso. I have no idea how one is prepared or what it tastes like.

I just drink black coffee. I tried a black coffee at Starbucks and it sucked. No wonder they have to put all sorts of crap into the coffee to kill the taste.

I also prefer black coffee. When you put milk, cream or different flavors in it, it is no longer coffee. Although, I like a cappuccino sometimes.

An epsresso is just a tiny cup of black concentrated/strong coffee. You are supposed to drink it in one go, when u are on the run and don’t have da time to sit down. There is also ’doubble espresso’ for those who wants slightly more.

Thanks Paramount, I'm a man of simple tastes. Once I find something I like, I don't change very much.

Do you use a filter machine? If you do, then buy some ground expresso next time and just use it as you would normal filtered coffee. Its more finely ground, but that should not make a difference.

You will basically get an Americano. A healthy one at that because the paper filter.

yep. I smoked non filter Camels for 42 years. Drank Schmidt's Beer till they went out of business. PBR ever since. till I stopped a year or so ago.
Drink a short glass of Black Velvet nightly unless someone buys me a bottle of Jamesons. straight up.
Drink a cup of hot water with cinnamon and honey every morning and have a bowl of Raisin Bran.

Have no like or respect for bullies like Trump and would never vote for anyone like him. But that predates Trump.

Not sure that makes me a sorta conservative. Just a set in my ways old fart ;)

Am I the only one that finds it impressive that PAtom is still alive after a life of smoking unfiltered cigs, drinking daily, and he said he has said he has been over weight.

He is in his early 70s. That's really quite an accomplishment, hats off to you Sir.

I smoked from the time I was 10 years old until I turned 52. It has been found that those who smoke filtered cigarettes suffer a worse lung cancer because they have to suck the smoke deeper into their lungs. Its been just over 25 years since I've smoked.
It's been a few years since I've been drunk. Hell I fall asleep before that happens anymore. A couple of ounces of whiskey each night is not gonna hurt anyone. I don't gulp it down. I sip it and savor the flavor.
Speaking of whiskey. or anyother booze for that matter. If you are going to mix it with soda or some other crap, save yourself some money and buy the cheapest whiskey you can find. If you must impress someone ask a friendly bar tender to save a top shelf whiskey bottle and fill it with something like Fleishmans.

HAha Nim (and maybe CR?), we have the same coffee machine.

I actually had the line up for a bit. Delonghi makes a good coffee maker, for sure.

Apparently according to the "controversial" study (which ehum has not been replicated) posted by the "controversial" poster Jergul (a known puppet account of the Filter lobby), we are slowly killing ourselves.

I did the only reasonble thing and stopped believing in the leftist conspiracy theories, heart "disease" and "bad" cholesterol.

Tssk. The data is old. The shift from boiled coffee to filtered is one of the things that has lowered heart attack rates in Northern Norway.

It was crazy. My wife's father was a professional diver. One of his jobs was to shovel away coffee grounds from the sewage exit points (we used to pipe it out a few 100d yards and let ocean currents carry the shit away). The currents around my town had measurable coffeine levels in the water.

Its just the lipids the paper absorbs. Better in the filter than on the heart valves.

"The currents around my town had measurable coffeine levels in the water."

lol

It's fine, don't worry, I have already googled the solution.

Cup sized filters :)

I'm curious as to how much coffee jergul is drinking, if the fat content is an appreciable amount of his overall fat intake.
