"This is a strong possibility because there was a huge amount of sediment flowing down," said DP Dobhal, a senior glaciologist formerly with the government's Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology. Experts say an avalanche could also have hit a glacial lake that then burst. An IPCC report on economic impacts included a rogue reference to WWWF report that said it would melt by whenever it was. Sam said it wouldn't melt. Like he said hurricanes couldn't increase in temperature and frequency.
