WHO mission to China fails to find animal source of coronavirus

The WHO mission to China to uncover the origins of the coronavirus has failed to identify the animal source, scientists said Tuesday.

Experts believe the disease -- which has gone on to kill more than 2.3 million people worldwide -- originated in bats and could have been transmitted to humans via another mammal.

While transmission from animals was the likely route, so far "the reservoir hosts remain to be identified", Liang Wannian, head of the China team, told reporters.

He added that studies showed the virus "can be carried long-distance on cold chain products," appearing to nudge towards the possible importation of the virus -- a theory that has abounded in China in recent months.

He also said there was "no indication" the sickness was in circulation in Wuhan before December 2019 when the first official cases have been recorded.

But they have found covid-19 cases in Europe and USA before December 2019, didn't they? I have read it in news articles that was posted here.

So, will WHO go to USA and Europe now and investigate the virus to see where it really comes from?

It was created in a lab and distributed by China during the 2019 World Military Games held in Wuhan. The people infected during those games brought the virus back to their home countries after the games. That is why the spread started in cities near military bases.

I dont trust the chinese government, chinese scientists who have nothing to gain but a death warrant say it came from a lab and china covered up the spread of the disease long enough for it to hit other countries.

wuhan is very far from range of horseshoe bats where closest strains to sars-cov-2 are found in wild.. and no evidence found of supposed animal that would be intermediate host between humans

meanwhile wuhan is home to wuhan institute of virology.. one of few bsl-4 labs in world that also specializes in coronavirus research

It was leaked from a lab in the USA. Fort Detrick. Read up on the leak at Fort Detrick. US media also reported on a mysterious flu outbreak in the US during the summer. People in the media said it was weird that there was a flu outbreak in the middle of the summer. Elderly people dies. WHO also lost over 350 million dollars in one year and said they had no way of tracking how it was spent, when or on what.

They need to quit looking for bats and start looking for petri dishes.

Maybe. Thing is WHO has been fucking things up for at least four decades now and probably longer.

And I don't know why the would bother at this point. China has had a year to toss them out then silence the janitor that did the tossing.

And WHO couldn't find their own ass with both hands so no surprise they can't find evidence of the virus's origin. Hell they wouldn't have found it if China had cooperated.

the actual chinese defense is that people in wuhan get it by eating bush meat of intermediate host species.. which [1] is dumb of chinese if true.. stop eating wild animals.. and [2] lacks evidence of intermediate host species much less such infected species being sold in wuhan wild meat market

wwd, From what I understand of it, specifically certain animals are more prone to carry diseases ( bats) so maybe If they just didnt eat such critters and or prepared them in a safer manner.

I'm not fond of rabbit for example since they are prone to worms and other parasites.

Most varieties of deers and similar game do not.

But rabbitnis safe as long as its prepared right.

Regardless, there is a difference between lab-engineered and lab created, but the WHO is not interested in delving into this delineation, for obvious reasons.
