At least four people have died in two separate shootings. Police have not said whether the two shootings are related. Police told Channel 2 Action News that all four victims were female and appeared to be Asian. Piedmont Road was shut down in both directions near Cheshire Bridge Road due to heavy police activity. The news station reported officers with guns were along the street outside the spas, and crime scene tape could be seen wrapping around both the Aromatherapy Spa and Gold Spa on the 1900 block of Piedmont Road. “UPDATE: Atlanta police tell us a total of four Asian women were shot and killed. 3 at Gold Spa, one at Aromatherapy spa. The section of Piedmont Rd mentioned here is pretty close to a company I used to work at. There are half a dozen obvious sex spas on that little stretch. Clearly not trying to hide it either, they're sharing the area with strip clubs galore which isn't really the clientele legit places are going for. In the AJC article on this you can even see a third such obvious "spa" right next to the two that were shot up. Atlanta doesn't really seem to try to bust them up afaict. If they do, another tends to pop up overnight like mushrooms. Has anybody checked in with Robert Kraft?

Based on what is out there in the news, it doesn't seem like anyone has established he would have done otherwise if the workers had not been Asian. Prostitutes et al. face very high rates of physical violence and decriminalizing prostitution to "protect sex worker lives" isn't an unheard of progressive take. tumbleweed the wanderer	Fri Mar 19 15:06:09 as i originally never heard of Rupar (& didn't know he worked for Vox til you mentioned it, not that it matters to me), i know for a -fact- that the reason i became aware of his video tweets is i saw Trump say stupid shit (a common occurrence) & wanted to post it here w/ the proof he said it & to get quotes accurate (i'm a great reporter), so i searched twitter, saw he had it, & posted it... i noticed he posts videos often so 'followed' him now there is a chance i've seen other video clips without seeing the source myself (especially with Marge T. Green), although i've seen no indication he deceptively edit the clips from all the times i've seen the source, so i'm not concerned (feel free to find clips i've posted that are deceptive & i'll reconsider, this one is NOT deceptive) in any case, i doubt i ever quoted Rupar's personal views here (other than copy/pasting portions of his transcriptions of what is said in the video), i use his clips for the videos always ---- and the cop here -is- giving his own summary of guy's comments & that for whatever reasons upsets people (it didn't upset me)... it's not like he was reading a statement from the guy & Rupar snipped off that he was reading a statement & made it sound like the cop was making the claims
