^its retards like you two that are the reason we've been in that shithole for 20 years in the first place. That idiotic mentality of "if the US leaves then it loses" is why we STILL have neocons and Democrats begging the public to accept staying in Afghanistan forever.

If Trump would have withdrawn all US troops from Germany then we would have won.

I’m not sure what your purpose of being in Afghanistan was. I have forgotten. Maybe it was to topple the Taliban regime. It looks like they are going to return now. And you are back to square one.

Our purpose for going into Afghanistan was to put Bin Laden's head on a spike and let off some steam from our post-9/11 rage.

We've accomplished both of those things.

Everything else is pure mission creep. I'd be perfectly happy to see a democratic Afghanistan that respects the rights of women, but it's not our job to try and achieve that through military means.

We're way overdue for leaving Afghanistan at this point. What happens to it after we leave isn't our concern.

The U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan. There is also a U.S. consulate in the city of Herat in the west.

r Work
USAID helps Afghans to increase access to electricity and potable water; and design, build, and maintain roads, schools, clinics, and hospitals. Security threats, forbidding geography, and shortages of trained technicians all present challenges. USAID is supporting the Government of Afghanistan's efforts to operate and maintain existing infrastructure, invest in expanding access to electricity, and stimulate private sector investment in infrastructure development.

Major Highlights
USAID helped Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS)— Afghanistan National Power Utility—to bring an additional 313.5 megawatts to Afghanistan’s national power grid, enabling the utility to increase its customer base by 73 percent from 2010 to 2016.
USAID constructed over 2,000 kilometers of roads, including the Afghanistan Ring Road from 2003 to 2016.
Since 2008, USAID provided clean water to more than two million Afghans.
Recent Highlights
In December 2018, USAID signed an interagency partnership agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide quality assurance and engineering services for the North East Power System and South East Power System (SEPS) substations and SEPS completion projects.
With USAID support, DABS is constructing approximately 380 kilometers of 220 kilowatts transmission line between Ghazni and Kandahar to extend the national electrical grid to southern Afghanistan.
Energy
Both USAID and the Government of Afghanistan recognize that access to electricity drives economic growth. USAID continues to partner with the Government of Afghanistan and the private sector to expand and increase access to reliable and affordable energy for Afghan citizens and businesses across the country.

Roads
Since 2003, USAID invested in the construction and rehabilitation of more than 2,000 kilometers of roads to propel travel and commerce, including Afghanistan’s Ring Road, which connects the country’s five major cities: Herat, Kabul, Kandahar City, Jalalabad, and Mazar-e-Sharif. USAID is now protecting its investments by providing emergency repairs to roads damaged by insurgent activities and natural disasters to ensure that strategic commercial corridors remain open.

Water and Sanitation
Since 2008, USAID and the Government of Afghanistan provided reliable clean water for the first time to more than two million Afghans and nearly 1.5 million people gained access to improved sanitation through community led solutions that prevent the spread of disease. USAID, in partnership with the Governments of Afghanistan, Germany, and France, is building water infrastructure to improve water quality and supply for Kabul residents.

Buildings
USAID funded the design and construction of hundreds of hospitals, clinics, midwife and teacher-training centers, high schools, university residences, and government office buildings across Afghanistan.

By "neocons," I assume you mean the Democratic Party and their allies in the intelligence community?

"House Democrats, Working With Liz Cheney, Restrict Trump’s Planned Withdrawal of Troops From Afghanistan and Germany

Glenn Greenwald

That's not to say that Y2A is wrong though. These days, neocons and Democrats are pretty much the same thing.

Just take a look at the mass exodus of neocons from the Republican Party during the Trump years. Bill Kristol (left the party and is now advocating a Republicans for Biden movement), Jennifer Rubin (who thinks that the Republican Party needs to be "burned down"), Max Boot (who now wants to forcibly shut down Fox News and other conservative outlets)...all of these neocon fucks were so disgusted by Trump and his anti-imperialism that they're now openly aligned with the Democrats.

Hell, just look at the commander-in-chief of the neocons himself. George Bush is currently romping around the country cheerleading leftwing immigration policies and condemning the GOP. In his off-time he's hanging out with his good friend Melania and attending softball interviews with Jimmy Kimmel.

Meanwhile, the Democrats have by and large become the war hawks they used to condemn. Military intervention is so in vogue with them that they consider Obama's refusal to go into Syria as one of his "failures" in office. Forever wars and the intelligence community (which openly worked to overthrow Trump) are beloved.

With the neocons moving left on social issues and the Democrats moving right on national security, they have come to meet right in the middle. The two are nearly indistinguishable now.

the full withdrawal of troops is happening under Biden's watch. How do Glenn Greenwald, Max Blumenthal and the rest of the deep cover FSB assets explain that one?

The eternal covenant of fire shall remain
from the Oxus to the Euphrates, Iran is thy name.

This is great news for the Iranian hegemony 7.0 project. That new Islamist architecture has really propelled the platforms’ acceptance in the region. We expect more satraps to integrate with the new cloud solution in the comming years..

NATO Afghanistan mission should have been put into "pack up and leave" mode the night Bin Laden was hunted down and killed.

The original purpose of breaking the Al Qaeda terror organization was accomplished. secondary objective of killing Bin Laden was accomplished. Tertiary objective of preventing new Afghan terrorist organized attacks on the US homeland accomplished.

The scope creep of deciding we needed to nation build will almost certainly be a failure.

So all in all far more successful than short term memory fools that can only comprehend time within the previous few months.

The failure hasn't been going there at all, but in staying too long.
