Yeah another one of these threads.Im about 4-5 beers deep with a mama cozzi cooking (Best store pizza ever)

About to watch "the rain" , irs a Danish show on Netflix I'm up to episode 5. Its surprisingly good considering the premise is corny.

Basically the rain causes you to have seizures and die because of some disease in it

Its starts off with 2 kids of a dad who working to cure the disease, you find out more and more about his work as thw show goes on.

So he sticks his kids in a bunker and they live there for a few years until they realize he isnt coming back....they meet up.with a wanderinf group of people scavenging for food, yadda yadda yadda.

I definitley recommend it, better than it sounds.Im also glad. Othwr countries are finally making decent shows.

I watched the new Might Ducks show with my 7 year old son tonight. Was pretty cheesy like the original but full of quirky underdog kids you want to cheer for anyways. Good memories. Wouldn't recommend watching it as an adult unless you want nostalgia but it is a great option if you have younger kids.

I watched Come and See (80s action movie) over the weekend.

Made me feel pumped up and it was surprisingly uplifting. Highly recommend.

The Rain sounds like yet another post-apocalyptic show. Interesting premise. My wife loves the genre so we'll probably give it a try sometime. She's not as much of a fan of subtitled shows but it's not a deal breaker either. Do they dub it or is it only in Danish?

Predator is a my fav badass 80s movie. Never heard of Come and See, but it looks like a classic & therefore my interest is piqued.

Hahaha

Predator is a top-tier film, it's quite simply straight-up quality. Any man who has never seen it absolutely needs to.

If you're looking more for a classic cheesy action movie, Commando is the absolute gold stand. Ahnold straight up genocides fools like it's nothing in that one.

Crazy that Predator was universally panned by cRiTiCs. Goes to show the media's been full of shit since the beginning of time. Want to watch Commando now.

Nhill, Its dubbed well into English. It is a little PA.Its not real bad for kids, the occasional boob or panty, ort of violent but not gruesome or anything, the worst Ive seen so far is a mild stabbing. But its rated MA.

I did realize the lips were a off when they talk early, but it plays well, better than I expected initially.

Oh okay, I usually have a hard time with dubs breaking the immersion. But worth a shot. Kids will not be watching with us :)

Yeah, I dont mind dubs for some movies (shoplifters was good) but Netflix is good at dubbing shows so far, I dont watch entire tv shows that need translated captions.

I'm sure it's a matter of taste, my wife's the same way. I'm fascinated with language so captions from a foreign language don't really bother me and to me it adds a new dimension to watching shows.

I dont mind captions* from movies.

Yeah, for me its.just too much to get into an entire series, but some movies are great captioned.

Mare of Easton on HBO.

Great show, I had a particular fondness at first because it reminded me of home (south east PA) but it turned out to be really good too.

Coo shoe starring kate Winslet as Mare, local cop of a PA town called easttown. But you know HBO, great show quality.Dont want to give much away, but small town murdsr investigation.

I binged watched it the last two days, been raining all day anyway. I got 2 more episodes

Fucking HBO, put in a copyright claim over Mare of Eastown. Weve been getting rain for like a.week straight (Satellite internet) so I went to TPB and got it so I didnt have interuptions, my wifi has been suspended for like 3 days apparently in january they passed some new law.

Shoulda used the VPN.

Also, as long as you pay for it somehow, I thought you could use it under the fair use doctrine? Like backing shit up.

Can we use blockchain to.decentrialize the internet?

If you want a faster and more secure site I can extend an invite to a private torrent site. Should still use VPN, of course, but it’s not monitored like TPB.

Nhill, Thats would be cool. I rarely DL anymore with Netflix and Disney.

So long story short I had to switch to Viasat.

They kept telling me that I had to fill out a request to reinstate, but when ever I clicked the link it just refreshed the same page regardless of device.

They also said then when I kept.calling that it went through, someone will call me in 24-48 hours....5 days later I exolained no one called me, they just talked in loops, and charged me extra theough auto pay for a month plus, that I will not be able to use, refused to let me speak to a supervisor.

So I just said, fuck it, Viasat will be here tommorow morning.

And to get my moneys worth, Ill buy my.brother in law a case.of beer and a pack of smokes.

When he gets drunk his favorite thing to do is call up companies who have wronged him or anyome and bitch and holler for literally HOURS, I probably wont get a refund, but they will have to pay people to keep answering his calls.

Honestly the worst customer service ive ever dealt with. The freindly ones seem to just make shit up tp get you off the phone. The other half are openly rude and argumentative while talking im circles.

Ungodly- A Netflix original series (1 season, 7 episodes, more like a mini series with defined ending)

If you enjoy western Id highly recommend it. It was made in 2017.Basic western plot, some bad dude is out to get a "good guy" and goes all over yo find him. Many gun fights and horses etc. They make the bad guy pretty likeable through out the show, which I enjoyed.Greay actor too, forget his name.

Its still thunderstorms, so more Netflix today.

Finally got around to watching Kingdom (In English dub) it picks up a lot by episode 5/6 ( where Im at now)

16th century Korea, with vampire zombies. Well, night time zombies at least.

Its a cool change on post apocalyptic zombies as standard fare.

Plus it has a power dynamic storyline (fight for the throne) moxed in in Im guessing 16th century, since some people have flintlocks.

Kingdom is really good. The power.dynamic part of the story really picks up season 2.

So, again, really cool mix of genres. Very much so a fast paced zombie-disease thriller mixed with east Asian (Korean) wordplay/martial Arts journey.

The power dynamic adds to well to the story, but a Game Of Thrones it is not.But then it wasn't meant to be its a kungfu zombie thriller set in 16th century Korea which is great on its own right.

Oh-- habebe. Sorry I forgot about this thread after vacation. PM me an email and I'll send you an invite to a super fast tracker.

FYI you'll need to maintain a decent download/upload ratio to avoid getting banned. It's a community, but provides the fastest torrents on the net, and it's not low hanging fruit like TPB so ISPs don't monitor it.

Kingdom is fun. You know what show I finally watched? Battlestar Galactica. Magnificent and that’s what I thought before the season 4, which was insane and insanely good. No doubt, one of the best tv series of all time, best sci fi tv ever maybe? I also watched Black sails, which was way better than I thought it would be, I think someone here was a fun, renzo iirc.

Battlestar Galactica & Black Sails were both good TV. Endorsed.

Along the lines of Black Sails, Taboo (Tom Hardy) was also good. Although I wish they'd make a damn S2 already.

Black sails, I think I seen likenthe first episode, or part of it, I thought it got cancelled pretty early so I didnt follow up.

In the last 2 years I really got into western, and the genre has really made a come back.

The hatefull 8- Awesome. Its what you would expect from a Tarintino western that happens to be a "bottle episode".

West world-Sci fi western, the first season IMHO was just amazing, the following seasons were good as well.

Godless as I said earlier In this thread, great single season show with defined ending.

Deadwood- Great interesting but low thrill western series on HBO.Think like Dr. Quinn medicine woman if it was made MA by HBO 10 years ago.

Uhm, IDK Ive had a few bingewatch western days in thenlast few years. Many 90s films

Once upon a time in Mexico

Is the only one that sticks out.

Apparently their is a Kingdom movie, something of the North....

Other than that...

New Ghostbusters is coming out Thanksgiving, this one I have high hopes for, it could suck, but they already did that, lets hope theyve learned from that.

Im sensing a TMNT revival in popularity, Seth Rogen is doing something (animated?) , a sweet retro TMNT beatem up is coming out and it's just been just enough time, we forget how horriblenthe 3rd movie was and remember the franchise more fondly now that enough time has past.

Plus Turtles have some seriously great characters to delve into.

Watching some old Robocop tv series, its what you woild expect it to be.

The confusing part is there are 5 movies (I think)

Robocop 1,2,3 pretty clear.

I never remembered 4 something in LA.

Then there is a 1994 series Robocop.

A 2001 series Robocop (both only one season)

Robocop 2014 which is a re imagining of the original 88 movie (87?)

The original 2 movies were great. The 3rd IIRC I didnt like even as a kid.

I think they are making a new movie again or atleast talking about it, the timeline is really not done well.

Masters od the Universe-Ny Kevin Smith.

Really I didnt think it was as bad as people are claiming.I didn't think it was all that great, but to be fair I wasn't a super He-man fan growing up, other than for xmas one year getting the most bad ass sword ever that made a lightning sound, flashed lighting and said "By the power of grayskull, I have the POWER"

Anyway, they did turn like 1/4 of the cast black for some reason, just bringing back regular characters as black versions of themselves, because I guess its racist to have too many whites?

They also mainly focus on a pair of lesbian warriors since He-man/prince Adam is presumed dead.

Skeleton was done pretty well, and without giving spoilers has a cool scene you would not have seen in the old cartoons.

The wokeness does come off as forced in there by the studio "Can we make this blacker? How about some strong gay women warriors?"

But I mean, for what it is its not a terrible show.

Its not the fact that there is women or blacks in it that annoys people, he'll blacks are heavily represented in film.

Its when they take an organic idea or an old idea come up with a story and then find a way to cram in some diversity agenda.

Starship troopers is one I was just watching a review on, female soldiers kicking ass (young denise Richards) and that is a great movie , off the top of my head.

How about alien? The boys? Kill Bill? Resident evil, terminator etc.

------

Update on Amazon's LOTR tv series. 9/2/2022 it will air the forst episode.
