Say 90% effective, that means that if 100,000 fully vaccinated people people get exposed then 10,000 will get sick, and if 1% of those die, then 100 will die.

Only buy cars from japan, medicine from the US, and climbing gear from the US or france or switzerland.

It is known.

Well , pretty much. Sweden in the haydays of Volvo and Saab made the finest mass produced vehicles on the road though. Volvo is shit anymore, just a name on a Pos.

I bought a Volvo XC90 and have done nothing but regret it since. Mercedes has also been a bit of a dog. Always in the shop and expensive repairs.

What's a good luxury Japanese brand?

Lexus? I think I'll sell the Volvo and get a Lexus.

Expanding that, your electronics should come from the US or asia. Your airplanes can come from the US, Canada, Brazil, or Europe.

Interesting... airplanes have the most geographic competence but yet are the hardest thing to get right. Weird.

"What's a good luxury Japanese brand?"

theres a few... but even the average toyota or honda is supremely reliable with more than power for 99.99% of users these days.

Infiniti is the luxury division of nissan, acura is from honda, and lexus is toyotas version.

I know virtually nothing about cars, never been an interest. Anyone know a good SUV with a 3rd row that's made in Japan?

Audi is a pretty good brand. The Q5 or A4 are solid cars. Or if you feel like having a wolf in sheep´s clothing, an RS4. Mm..yes my impending 40 year crisis will eventually convince me to buy one.

My subaru foresters have treated me real well, and their tribeca has a 3rd row i think.

BUT

I have heard that they had a few years of poor quality since i last bought. Might be fixed now, dunno.

Its still a few years off before my next vehicle replacement so i havent started thinking much about it yet but my initial leanings are toyota or tesla. I know tesla isnt japanese... but the electric drive is more reliable from the start.

Nhill, Volvo went down hill since the early 2000s. I had a 2002 V70 and it was fantastic. Back in the day I had several Volvos and a Saab 95 turbo. All great.

The problem came when Ford bought Volvo. Then I think Ford sold it to a chinese company and , well it dismt get any better.

I had a Honda Civic for a beater car and it was great, I has to rebuild the engine myself when I got it, but after that ( and I knew going in) it was a fucking work horse.

Plus its a paint to numbers car. Anyone can repair their Honda, 95% of the car is 10mm.

Yeah, I was surprised to learn that most of the parts were just rebranded Ford shit. Learned that from the mechanic on our very first road trip after buying the XC90 and the CV joint cracked halfway.

I asked him if he was using OEM parts, and he said technically no, he ordered a Ford part, but OEM is just rebranded Ford anyways.

India was to far behind on vaccinations with only about five percent vaccinated. That allowed the virus to mutate quicker and that means the vaccine is less effective.

and to the car discussion I fucked around and got a Rainier in 2006. That turned out to be a mistake as that was the Buick entry into the mid size SUV market. They made a few mistakes.

I still drive it though because it has all wheel drive and decent clearance and I end up driving around in a lot of pastures and fields.

Will probably upgrade in next two years but not sure what to look for.

Part of the reason I got the Rainier is because of leg and head room. Leg room sucks for people in the back but up front I have plenty.

I'm having a hell of a time finding a good 3rd row SUV. A lot of the 2 row models have shitty 3rd row versions. Giving up for now. Nothing jumps out at me.

I know what you mean about that 3rd row option, definitely an after thought to design.

I think the XC90 was designed quite well, but it was built like shit. Give me an XC90 style interior with Japanese parts or give me death!

You don't get to decide the topic.

The vaccines are not broken the virus mutated in India.
That being decided we can get back to cars and the lack of options for 3rd row seating.

Some rural schools are selling busses. Not luxury but you can get as many as twenty rows on some of them!

We've actually been thinking about converting an old school bus into a Recreational Vehicle.

They are built a lot better than our RV and you can make them really nice.

The only thing preventing us is the fact that most campgrounds are too stuck up to allow them, so we'd have to stick to shittier places or dry camp it.
