Anyone interested in taking UP to clubhouse? We have tried and failed with about every attempt of transcending this UI, so it doesn't hurt to keep trying.

What is clubhouse?

If by chance it is in a tree with cup and string phones and perhaps snacks, then yes, im in.

You would think right? But it is like showing up at a conferance to listen to you favorite podcaster/intellectual. Rooms have varying degrees of moderation. Technically it fills the same role as an auditorium, among other things, without the need to buy ticket and travel. It also creates some more organic talks between people. It is unclear what Clubhouse is about, it is still searching for its’ purpose, but it does removes another barrier in communication.

It is more natural to speak and listen than to read and write, intuitively I want to say people are more civil and humane when they can pick up the signals embedded in our voice and faces.

I think it'd be a fun supplement to the forums to plan a Clubhouse discussion weekly.

If I type "Clubhouse is" into the google search field, it gives me these top 3 suggestions:

Clubhouse is dead
Clubhouse Israel
Clubhouse is dying

Only a fool would actually download, install and use Clubhouse.

If you are not hearing me as Gomer Pyle with not so strong a southern accent you missed.

Unfortunately I sound like him when I talk (sort of) but don't sound like him when I sing. When I sing people shove cat turds in their ears with knitting needles to try and stop the pain.

For a second I thought it would be more satisfying to yell 'Shut the fuck up kargen, you unfunny dumbass', if this was Clubhouse, instead of typing it. But it wouldn't be.

Yeah, on second thought, I think people would be too polite on Clubhouse and that is totally against UP spirit.
