Well Australia IS a part of the Commonwealth, so...

I mean, we have a politician who is past it (Australia seems to go through political leaders very quickly) moaning that he lost his column because the newspaper decided it wanted 50:50 balance.

So, by definition he's at best in the bottom half of their male columnists if they had 100% male columnists. And if it was say, 60%-40%, he's in the bottom sixth.

He can still blog if he wants... you can earn a fair crust doing today if you carry cachet. But if as an ex liberal LOTO he relies on a paid newspaper column for a platform to reach the public, that's a bit sad.
