rank | Tue Aug 17 22:09:33 2021 So allegedly this new lambda variant has no fucks to give about vaccines. Game over man. |

rank | Tue Aug 17 23:09:26 2021 Wow, the Covid alarmists really hated that their stupid little disease wasn't the focus of media attention over the weekend, didn't they. So now we're all supposed to tremble in fear of a new variant eh? |

rank | Wed Aug 18 00:34:58 2021 The good news is that the supposed resistance to vaccines is of the inactivated disease variety. It doesn't appear to be tested against the mRNA version; or at least I didn't see anything suggesting it has been. One can hope that the superior mRNA vaccines are much more effective against it than the inactivated disease versions. |

rank | Wed Aug 18 00:53:54 2021 Not seeing a single preprint that says conclusively that the Lambda variant completely dodges the vaccines out there. Just one from 3 weeks ago that says it shows very early signs of infectious than the Delta variant. |

rank | Wed Aug 18 04:34:21 2021 The thing with lambda is its been around a while and isnt nearly as widespread as delta. It is thus likely that lambda is not nearly as infectious or vax resistant. |

rank | Wed Aug 18 07:05:59 2021 ya yankz r really tryin so hard arent u. r u seriously gonna think that traditional vaccine like sinovac is not effective against this crap but somehow urs is while u can barely handle delta at 32%? rofl sounds like copium 2 me |

rank | Wed Aug 18 08:40:01 2021 Vaccination and Delta in Israel: http://www...of-hospitalized-are-vaccinated (...) The bottom line is there is very strong evidence that the vaccines have high efficacy protecting against severe disease, even for Delta, and even in these Israeli data that on the surface appear to suggest the Pfizer vaccine might have waning efficacy. This is clearly evident if the data are analyzed carefully, and agrees with all other published results to date from other countries. (...) |

rank | Wed Aug 18 08:49:35 2021 It is too early to say, but there are reports that some vaccine are not inoculating against Lambda strain. |

rank | Fri Aug 20 22:16:23 2021 Not about Lambda, but good read on mutations http://www...ndemic-what-will-virus-do-next New SARS-CoV-2 variants have changed the pandemic. What will the virus do next? |

rank | Sun Aug 22 16:55:53 2021 There is no viral disease mutations I've heard of that completely and utterly avoids a healthy immune system that has learned a previous iteration of a virus. Otherwise there would be no end to outbreaks with the same fatality level as at initial emergence. From my own observation of history of viruses what seems to happen is that once all people have either had the virus (or been vaccinated in this case), it fades away if the virus doesn't mutate fast enough, or breakthrough infections become a minor version of the disease such as the common cold/flu if it is a quickly mutating type. I just can't think covid19 is going to be an eternal danger stalking humanity at the danger levels it currently has as a novel virus. Am I wrong in this thinking? |
