I want one of my remote workstations to push a button for me. Anyone ever do something like this?

This is why we need immigrants. To push buttons for the white master race fat ass remote working at home.

You don’t need immigrants anymore now that there are robots:

MicroBot Push

Robotic technology for any button

MicroBot Push's robotic techonolgy enables pressing virtually any type of button a human can press.

Or maybe you can build a robotic arm of some sort. You can probably find instructions on the internet.

Have you looked through

What exactly are you trying to do?

This app might help? Send keyboard input programmatically? Looks like you'd probably run that app on the remote workstation and configure it with what to do. No commands going over the network, it would be local based.

Adafruit (raspberry Pi folks) sells this solenoid for $5.

So, there is literally a button you put over buttons to push them for you.

My whole life has been a lie! How long has this been going on?? This is one of those easy things that I have over engineered in my head, I will be honest. I thought we needed robots!

My button pushing days are over, you can bet your ass. I'm gonna program a remote control with 1 button and then when I push that button, it will push ALL the buttons I have!

Muuu hahahahahaha!

Not yet. Still on the backburner. Other work things take priority.

Why would you not just leave your computer on?

Because on rare occasions there is a power outage. One machine conveniently turns itself back on... and im like maybe this one can reawaken its neighbors.

Sam there is literally a button that you put over a button. Paramount posted it. It's retail, no solenoids.

I do not think a microbot hub will be acceptable to security, unfortunately, because that does indeed look like the easy way to go in a normal location.

A non-wifi piece added on to an already approved machine would not be a security and interference concern.

Fair enough. With all button pushing wifi bandits. Who knows! :)
