He has HGH gut from abusing juice for so long. And his face has become round and swollen from it too.

Look at like this, he has that gut, but he is still strong like a mule and has the endurance of a wilderbeast. Pick your poison!

The Ivermectin “horse-dewormer” propaganda was popular in left-wing echo chambers such as Imgur, but even the echo chambers sometimes pay attention to Rogan.. so I wonder if this will wake a few people to CNN being a DNC propaganda and disinformation network.. or if it’ll just be excused or forgotten per Gell–Mann Amnesia.
But just imagine: someone finally figures out that CNN lies for political reasons, they wonder why CNN was so adamant about lying about Ivermectin and poisoning the well against Rogan, then they maybe stumble upon the idea of regulatory capture and Pfizer and Moderna’s public calls to have the White House set policies that corner the market for their vaccines. Such a person would probably still remain a tribalist (immune to learning too much that counters a blind trust in the government), but you’d hope they could start figuring a few things out.

Tossing something else into the mix. If there is a viable alternative the government can't mandate a vaccine. We aren't in a situation where they can mandate a vaccine anyway because we don't meet all the conditions. hasn't stopped President Biden and his team from trying though.

"The Ivermectin “horse-dewormer” propaganda was popular in left-wing echo chambers such as Imgur, but even the echo chambers sometimes pay attention to Rogan.. so I wonder if this will wake a few people to CNN being a DNC propaganda and disinformation network.."

CNN should be criticized for calling Ivermectin a horse dewormer. It's also used in other types of animals.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivermectin#Veterinary_use

Joe Rogan can huff and puff all he wants. No lies were told by CNN. At least not about that. Which is probably why he's pissed. He probably talked to a lawyer and got told he had no case.

Murder, He never really went to sue them, it was a blown up news story stemming from him saying

But anyway....if that's how you like your news, go nuts.
nhill

One of those other types of animals is called a "human". It should have been called what it was-- an anti-parasitic drug.

It's stupid enough to take an anti-parasitic for a virus. They could have left it at that and we could have all laughed. But instead they had to go full retard and act as if its only purpose was veterinary.

Idiots. Ever heard of selling past the sale?
nhill

Selling past the close, that is.
murder
Member
Thu Oct 14 22:19:37

It's only purpose may not be veterinary, but that is a use, and it's first use.

I find it amusing that people are upset at CNN for "lying" by not lying, but seem fine with Rogan lying by accusing CNN of lying ... which they didn't.

Just say the fucking truth and simply say it's an anti-parasitic drug. Stop being a coward.

It was originally developed for veterinary usage and further study found compelling evidence for its efficacy in humans to clear parasites. To the tune of billions of people using it (pre-COVID19).

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3043740/

2011 Feb 10:
"It has also been used to successfully overcome several other human diseases and new uses for it are continually being found. This paper looks in depth at the events surrounding ivermectin’s passage from being a huge success in Animal Health into its widespread use in humans, a development which has led many to describe it as a “wonder” drug."

"Just say the fucking truth ..."

Apparently you guys can't handle the truth.

I can point to Rogan's lie. You can't point to CNN's lie.

And Rogan's outrage is manufactured. Ivermectin was being joked about as a horse dewormer well before he ever announced to the world that he took it. He knew exactly what was going to happen.

I have nothing against CNN. I think they're a more reliable news source than Fox News, but both are entertainment, not news, networks so it's like comparing dog shit to cat shit (Fox News would be cat shit in this analogy, that stuff stinks).

My problem is that anyone watching CNN has already demonstrated a high level of stupidity and implying idiotic assertions like a drug humans take everyday for parasitic infections is actually only a "horse dewormer" simply degrades the quality of discourse.

Case in point, here.

[murder]: "I find it amusing that people are upset at CNN for "lying" by not lying, but seem fine with Rogan lying by accusing CNN of lying ... which they didn't. ... I can point to Rogan's lie. You can't point to CNN's lie."

nhill covered this in part, and in the OP video, Rogan himself explains this, but to break it down:

• Ivermectin for horses is a distinct product from Ivermectin for humans.
• Ivermectin for horses typically comes in a large syringe as a paste (other options available), tastes like apple, has a high concentration (is formulated for horses), and explicitly says, "Not for use in humans"/"Not for human use" or "equine use only"/"for oral use in horses only". One 6-gram syringe dispensed in one use can treat a 1250-pound horse.
• Ivermectin for humans is typically prescription only (issued by a human specifically for another human's use), includes instructions and guidance specifically written for human use, and most often comes in foil packages containing about twenty white 3-mg tablets (other options available). Four 3-mg tablets taken once in a day can treat an average adult weighing 110–140 pounds.

• Joe Rogan was prescribed Ivermectin from a doctor — a for-human-use product.
• This was one of CNN's chyrons:
"Joe Rogan announces he has COVID, is taking horse dewormer Ivermectin"
• NPR's Vanessa Romo still has an un-edited/un-corrected article up that says this:
"Joe Rogan has told his Instagram followers he has been taking ivermectin, a deworming veterinary drug formulated for use in cows and horses"

Both CNN and NPR (though certainly others as well) lied when they said that Rogan took a horse dewormer. Rogan took a product which was formulated for humans and which is only available for horses in a distinctly separate formulation.

Now, even if one still somehow does not see this lie, certainly, it should be obvious that CNN and NPR used deceptive framing to make it appear that Rogan took a product that is above-all a product for horses. This is negligence, ignorance, and a public manipulation best called propaganda.

...
[ep]: "Lots of things might have an evil liberal bias, basic statistics does not."

You'll have to get specific about which part of the video you mean, but "basic statistics" can indeed have biases.

Introductory statistics covers sampling biases at length (e.g., random sampling versus convenience sampling), and courses using statistical modeling and/or which teach how to read statistics in scientific papers explicitly warn of bias errors in common statistics. And when it comes to political-science papers, many are guilty of bias errors and faulty conclusions; they tend to make bad jumps between the actual tested data, the methodology, and the conclusions. When it comes to review papers, the conclusions become even more faulty, and when it comes to journalists reviewing review papers or reviewing the review of other journalists, the statistics get their final removal from reality.

This. A thousand times this. Appreciate how this kind of shit is corrosive to the conversation, politics, media's role as a check on power, the very fabric of society.

And again I would like to reiterate ... Joe Rogan announced to the world that he had taken Ivermectin for the sole purpose of eliciting the horse dewormer jokes that had been floating around for days.

He was simply setting the stage for the fake outrage.

You are being intentionally obtuse if you think that CNN didn't know exactly what it was doing by associating that drug with horse dewormer.

It'd be like saying "this morning murder had oatmeal for breakfast, a substance commonly used for horse feed."

They decided to go into Slanderville territory here, so they deserve what they're getting.

I specifically pointed out that it was implied, not said. If they had said it explicitly I wouldn't have written "implying idiotic assertions".

Murder, "They aren't getting anything that they don't get the other 364 days of the year from the screwy right."

Well, your right. No rational person would really claim that CNN,Fox,MSNBC, OAN etc. Are anything more than hack entertainment.

Maddow and Tucker both recently claimes this as a defense in court, and won. A judge ruled then to be entertainment, not news.

The Clinton Emails show how intertwined the DNC is to the media.

Was pointed out over the week-end what CNN did with this could end up being dangerous. They announced Joe Rogan took horse dewormer and made zero distinction between the stuff given to livestock and the stuff that is prescribed by doctors to humans. They made little if any effort to say there was such a thing available to humans.

Now Rogan gets better. People see CNN saying he took medicine meant for horses. Same people see Joe is all better. Let's face it people that watch CNN are not the brightest so now they get the sniffles and think I gotta get me some of that horse stuff.
CNN is going to get someone killed.

Notice how on a quality news program they explain that yes the chemical is used on horses, it was prescribed by a medical human doctor.

Amoxicillin isn't a horse bacterial infection drug , but it can be used to treat that.

"Now Rogan gets better."

People that watch CNN wouldn't necessarily assume that Rogan was ever sick. He had an episode whacked from Youtube in June for pimping Ivermectin.

He just found a different way of promoting it.
