I figured I would start out by comparing streaming services.

Netflix- The reigning champ. Probably the best at ease of use and for those with limited bandwidth its the easiest to play, except YouTube.

Great selection, definitely the best original content, but it lacks some non original tv shows compared to say Hulu.

Hulu-Still super cheap, fantastic hit tv show selection.Original content lags behind, the few good original shows they did have they no longer support them on the platform.Movies are usually outdated and shitty stuff no one watches, they have gotten better but they padded thwir selection numbers with cap.Still pretty good at ease of use but not as easy as Netflix.

Disney+- Great high quality content, especially if you have kids.Great "original" content and cheap.

BUT the overall selection is just too limited to be a "Netflix killer" as pundits were saying in the early days. You can run through the adult content quick, needs alot kore bandwidth. Than the others, but the picture is always top notch. Then we come to ease of use, and well its just more of a pain in the ass to search for videos and such.

Amazon Prime- Its best to get this for the shipping. The video content isnt worth it.

Most of the good programming you have get additional channels within the platform, mostly with an extra subscription.

Original content is only better than Hulu, which isnt saying much.

Its also a pain in the ads to find programming becuase half the time you have to see if you need to get an additional subscription for the show or even if they carry it, you can search a show, fins what you want and fins out even if you pay more they may just have a place holder and not the program.

All in all, Id say for me atleast the best deal is Netflix and Hulu, I'm dropping Disney until the Mandalorian comes back, I havnt watxhed a marvel movie since the xmen movies.

I'll keep Amazon, but not for the streaming service.

I prefer the quality of shows on HBO Max and Apple TV+ to Netflix.

I don't even remember the last time I watched a show on the 'flix. To me, it's almost all B content compared to other services. Netflix originals used to be the shit, but now they pump out a bunch of crap or buy rights to foreign originals.

I'd cancel it if a) I didn't get it for free through T-Mobile and b) my kids didn't use it so much.

HBO ALWAYS has great programming, but I have just bootlegged their shit so far, I will checknit out though.

I only know of one apple tv show, the news show with Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Anniston, it was good, but Ive never used the actual platform, again Ill probably check it out.

Netflix definitely has the bigger backlog, but, in terms of new shows, it leaves a lot to be desired.

I'll admit Netflix originals are not what they used to be, its alot of spray and pray.

Cobra Kai was good, but bought from YT.Still pissed they nixed the Dark Crystal.

Hulu has alot of newer/90s tv shows I like and grew up with (The practice)

But as far as high quality new shows HBO has a consistent* set of quality.

I could be wrong, but I feel like HBO would run out of shows quick, I like binging.

Jergul got men into cobra Kai.I thought it would just be cheesy, but it was fun.

HBO has Gotham PD coming soon, huge Batman fan, so I'll try that.

Their new version of West world was amazing, but it peaked at season 1, 2 was good, season 3...meh.

I should caveat this with I watch about 1-2 hours of TV a week. Not a binger... and sometimes I go a month or more without watching (on the road). In general, have too many other things going, mainly raising a big family. Gives me the luxury of being very picky. I've heard Netflix has a lot of good bingeworthy shows on it. :)

I watched a documentary called Fantastic Fungi on Netflix a few days ago. It was great!

Seen that one, it was good.

That's my biggest complaint with streaming, too few quality documentaries.Disney has Maybe I, but mostly it's alot of modified clone shows.

I try to have Sunday dinner and a binge with the family, the Dark Crystal was great for that.

Netflix has a ton of content, some of it is crap. But You, Ozarks, bloodline, mindhunters and others are legit. Hbo comes out with high quality content as well but of it is just millennial crap like Girls and Euphoria. I remember hbo sending out a memo where they pretty much admitted they want to make shows about women and gays because white males dominated the industry. Thus we get crappy and preachy shows.

I got Paramount+ so my mom could watch nature documentaries on the Smithsonian channel. They have some decent stuff. I'm planning on watching the remake of The Stand soon.

Gunpowder milkshake- Fucking terrible. A waste of good talent.

Tried to be a kill bill sort of female bad ads movie, honestly they directed it sloppily.

Like not that kill bill is really realistic, this just seemed beyond silly unrealistic and not in an entertaining way.

Its frustrating becuase they really had some good actors, but it comes off as such a kill bill wannabe turd.

Just imagine what Tarintino could have done with this movie.

People will say "people just dont like.strong female.leads"

But that's BS, Uma and Lucy Liu were boss, or Sigourney weaver in Alien, GoTs all great strong female characters.

Even if it was meant as a parody, it just didn't make the mark.

An example of a parody movie done right would be Machete or Hobo with a shotgun..

Maybe that's what they were trying to go for and failed.

Its just so weird, odd pacing of the film, but so is kill bill which was great.

Its almost like an AI (or alien) attempt at a Tarintino film.

Horrendous choreography.

The whole film just seems off like when they film someone walking backwards and play it in reverse and you know it looks off but its hard to pin point.

I watched the movie Peppermint. It was okay for a vigilante type movie.

American Horror Story-

Well, it's true to form on being hit or miss.1984 Slasher fest was great. This season is a c- so far.

Thats a generous grade and is assuming it's taking the form of like a campfire story.

The writing is very sloppy, half The police force gets murdered and no one asks questions?

Also apparently DNA evidence/forensics doesnt exist, they find a dead body and the cops are just working on hunches, no one even tries to cover up their crimes......timelines are sloppy to, hard to explain without spoilers but its worse than usual.
