Governor Ron DeSantis wants to allow parents to decide whether to quarantine their kids if they've been exposed to covid.

Essentially handing every moron in the state a license to kill.

So Florida - which is not only the 3rd most populous state in the country, but also has a disproportionate amount of elderly people who are especially vulnerable to Covid - has had a lot of Covid deaths?

Florida can probably "get away with" this more than most places, in spite of their elderly population, because so many of those old people's grandkids live 5 or 10 states away.

I don't know what had me googling this, but at a glance it appears that Latinos die less than white people or black people, relative to their population.
