Atrocious math aside, it's also a classic leftist logic fail: they think that all problems in the world can be solved if you just throw enough money at them.

In reality, they would spend that entire $6 billion on one country, only to see half of the food shipments seized by local warlords while the other half rots in some warehouse because they lack the logistics capability to distribute it.

Tl;dr, the UN sucks and should be disbanded.

In the mid 1990s UNICEF "misplaced" 150 million dollars that was suppose to be used for vaccines in poverty areas around the globe. When asked about it they basically said shit happens.
An audit found additional large amounts of misuse of funds, misappropriation, fraud and other stuff most of which was never accounted for.
THe 150 million was on top of all the other stuff and went missing all at once. It was in an account then it wasn't. Nobody in the UN seemed to care.

jergul I think every government agency (military included) should go through an extensive audit and their future budget be decreased by any amount that can't be properly accounted for.
I suppose that gets tricky for CIA slush funds and Area 51's budget but maybe the accounting firm can just promise not to release the particulars.

But yeah DoD waste and misappropriation of funds should concern all Americans.
