Im hindsight, Star Wars going down the shitter was a good thing. Certainly helped me transition away from being a nerd who cared about fictional characters and starships.

Disney as a company is so irredeemable though.

"I not gonna watch the greatest TV show in history The Mandolrian"

I don't even care about your politics in this moment...solely on the strength of this statement alone, you should throw yourself off a high bridge.

Rugian is correct. Mandolorian is a 7 or 8 out of 10 show. It's pretty forgettable popcorn.

The only way to not alienate those customers is to erase LGBTQ characters and "woke" storylines.

Murder,"The only way to not alienate those customers is to erase LGBTQ characters and "woke" storylines."

Most ppl I know dont care if someone isnt gay. Dont care about if a character is gay. Now admittedly in this polarized environment some innocent examples are gonna get mixed in.

The issue most have are that they feel its being pushed upon them, and instead of watching a show that may have gays on it, they are watching a show which is intentionally pushing a narrative.

So its not So much about having LGBTQ ppl in it, and it's not even about how tame a scene is, ppl dont like being preached to.

And I think the religious comparison works. A pro Christian or Muslim movie could be relatively tame, bit it's the vibe of the program that they pushing Jesus or Muhammad on you and you may not like that.

Also, some shows would be better it to they just focused on making a really good show instead of a parable.

Game of thrones is a great example, no one cares about gay characters, because it wasn't pushing a narrative but organically was part of the story.

HBO's "Rome" has to be on there.

Weeds was good in the beginning,it ran too long.

Same with Dexter, it peaked for me in season 4 w/trinity killer.

The Sopranos.

Depends on perimeters too, are we doing comedy? Its always sunny is tops.

Lawyer shows, I'm a huge fan of the practice. Until they got rid of almost all the majornl characters in season 7 IIRC. Very under rated.

The x-files has to be on my list.

Gotham was really good, could have been better on HBO.

House/Seinfeld/Trailer park boys, all good, not really edge of your seat what's going to happen next though.

The dark crystal , as TC pointed out.Fantastic.

For a sit-com Soap probably still the best. The series kind of ironically looking back was canceled because Coke-A-Cola didn't like there being a gay person as a prominent character. Okay that isn't entirely true but the network could only get one company willing to sponsor Soap.

I liked the first few seasons of Supernatural and I liked The X-Files. Dr Who for the most part is good. A few preachy episodes but overall a good series.
Altered Carbon was a good series.

Best tv show is pretty hard to state. It's easier if you break it down by genre. But if we are just going to state "best show ever"? Id go with Mad Men. It's serious, hilarious, sexy, has a message, has interesting and evolving characters. It's a pretty great show.

I liked madmen, but gods is it slow. It does allow for a depth not seen often in shows though. I preffered some weed while watching.

The pace of the series picks up as the turbulence of the 60s picks up. So the first season is very dry and collected. Then in 68 or so you see Don taking speed and racing Ken around the office and then abruptly giving a speech about how he plans on winning back his married mistress.
