The next big freak out is democrats having a fit over elected officials (state legislature) draw election maps up instead of usually unelected and unaccountable parties make election rules on the fly, as they seem to prefer.

Which is somehow "destroying democracy"

I think your in the wrong thread.

This is about constitutional law on whom has authority and from where said authority comes from when drawing electoral maps.

Unelected commissions and governor appointed bureaucrats have no authority. Neither do state courts or even state constitutions.

That's literally what the law says.

You may get your wish though. The court seemed A-OK to support government over reach in exchange for practicality in use with Oklohoma.
