Aaron Rupar @atrupar

Senator Rick Scott (FL): This bill should be called the war on seniors act. This is a war on Medicare.

Margaret Brennan: Reducing Medicare costs is not the same as reducing benefits, though. You know that.

Not mentioned for some reason is that Senator Rick Scott was responsible for the largest case of Medicare fraud in the history of the program.

Why reports don't hammer him on this every time they see his ugly face is one of the great mysteries of our time.

I seen the Dem bots trying to claim that Republicans are against capping insulin @$35.

Entirely forgetting it was the Democrats (Biden) who ended Trumps $35 cap on insulin via EO.

They are getting desperate.

Like all your information, its probably exaggerated bullshit.

Dukhat, Which part?

It's a commonly known fact Trump limited medicare copay of insulin @$35 in 2020.

Its also true that Biden used EO power to suspend Trumps EO.

So that they can add it in a shit bill trying to bring back SALT reductions and claim the Republicans are keeping up the price of insulin.

Its one thing to be a lefty, but the Democratic party is even more corrupt than Trump could be innhis wildest dreams.

They are capable of negotiating now which is different from just mandating it be a certain price. So until I see real evidence otherwise, the democratic solution is more sustainablr.

Your dumbass fake corruption without any kind of evidence whatsoever, not even the shitty twitter links you normally use. Dems were finally able to have medicare be able to negotiate some drug prices down and you claim, with no whit of evidence, it’s more corrupt than anything Trump did.

Ok Hot Rod 2.0. Keep making dumb shit up.

Until the Democrats repealed it , it was pretty sustainable.

Schumer wanted his millionaire donors to not have to pay federal taxes.

Something that many Dems outside of large liberal cities don't even support.

Its a subsidy basically.

Where is the lie?

Looks like the salt cap remains largely unchanged and you are talking about some republican poison pill amendment that was voted down. Many dems wanted salt caps removed but they stayed mostly the same.

Seems like you’re arguing about some bill that doesn’t exist.

Because 7 Democrats didnt support the rich tax break Schumer wanted.

Which leaves the bill in limbo.

The SALT cap does remain unchanged because the bill hasnt been passed yet.

http://www...l-tax-climate-health-bill/amp/

But the insulin manner was plain and simple, it was removed so they can claim credit and Schumer tried to pass SALT, which hopefully wont be kept in the bill.

SALT isnt bery popular outside NYC/LA

"CORRECTION: Seven Democrats voted for the GOP amendment that would extend a cap on the SALT tax deduction. A previous version of this story included incorrect information."

7 Voted for a Salt Cap extension. They changed it to not voting for the extension which means the laws before this bill stayed the same.

As for the tax-cuts for the rich bullshit, some democrats wanted to end the SALT caps which would've returned our taxes to what they were for some upper-middle-class people in blue states.

Much ado about nothing.

Trump's cap wasn't really going to pass long-term muster anyways. Dems did something that will be permanent.

Again ... all your anger was toward some exaggerated view of the world from right-wing twitter. Get a clue.

The bill passed. You are obsessed with pushing your dumb talking point. Even if salt deduction had been removed, it simply returns taxes to where they were in 2018.

You complaining about upper middle income people in blue states as super rich getting a tax cut is a farce.

Especially when blue staters still pay more than red staters in total taxes.

So your argument now is that millionaires/billionaires should get tax breaks because they pay more taxes anyway.

And the Democrats wonder why working class and labour are fleeing the Democratic party likes rats on a sinking ship.

The argument of "But 500k a yr isn't THAT rich when you live in a large liberal city"

Is such a dumb argument. They CHOOSE to pay that to live there. That would be like me CHOOSING to live in the Ritz Carlton and saying "But I'm not that rich, my expenses are high"

1. Yes Ive long despised SALT.

2. Biden clearly halted Trumps EO that was working to lower insulin, and then is trying tontake credit for lowering insulin when he did it.

3. Schumer clearly wanted to use that leverage to sneak in tax breaks for.his donor class.

All while democrats claim to want to "tax the rich", its all lies.

Working class people are not dumb enough to stay in a party that actively despises them.

Dems won the house because they ran on repealing SALT in swing seats.

Repubs only repealed SALT because they ran out of money and needed to milk their traditional upper-middle-class base to give a tax cut to their billionaire donor class.

That tax cut to the billionaire donor class still exists whereas SALT taxes remain unchanged.

So if you think Dems did something shitty (which they didn't even do), Repubs did something 10x worse but you think Dems are worse for some idiotic reason.

"Repubs only repealed SALT because they ran out of money and needed to milk their traditional upper-middle-class base to give a tax cut to their billionaire donor class."

Republicans attacked the SALT deductions to punish blue states and municipalities that provide additional social services to the poor. Those extra services are paid for with state and local taxes. The theory is that if the tax burden becomes high enough for residents of those states and municipalities, they will begin to oppose those extra social services to relieve themselves of that tax burden. They want to turn every state into Texas.

SALT should be 100% deductible, that way the federal government can be nice and lean like Republicans claim they want it.

SALT is subsidizing living in expensive cities. Thats it.

Why should we subsidize rich people to live outside their means?

The better question is why people who live in blue states should be subsidizing deadbeat red states?

Tax your damn selves and provide for yourselves and get off the federal teat.

Its a myth.

If someone pays into SS, they are owed SS benefits. Its a forced insurance plan.

The whole "blue states pay for red states" is based on SS and Medicaid/care etc.

Take that out of the equation and see tge difference.

Its accounting smoke and mirrors.

They play up how much NYC's Wall Street pays, but don't count the 9 trillion dollars in federally bought assets as a bailout either.
Dukhat

Those expensive cities generate the vast majority of the wealth in America. They are also net income tax payers even when SALT was not capped. SALT deductions are a way of evening the playing field for leeches in red states.
Dukhat

Most if not all of those Federally-bought assets were bought back, many with interest.

I wasn't a big fan of them either, but better than a great depression. Better regulations is the solution from that ever happening again which Republicans also oppose.

The free market creates monopolies and generational depressions. You should support policies that soften the business cycle, but you don't because Republican news rots your mind Habebe.

Explain to me why yournliberal news rotted mind thinks that red states are "leeches" and it's not hypocritical to claim "tax the rich" meanwhile "The rich pay more taxes, they need a break"

Your all over the map here.

Id love to see this accounting.

http://www...tand%20at%20%248.9%20trillion.

I exxagerated, its only 8.9 trillion.

1. If your going to argue that liberal cities pay more than they receive from the feds, you should account for all they recieve.

8.9 trillion is alot.

But your accounting won't factor that in, but someone who paid into SS their whole life and now collects a check is in your mind a "leech"
