US to take part in military exercise near India's disputed border with China

(CNN)The United States is to take part in a joint military exercise with India less than 100 kilometers (62 miles) from the South Asian country's disputed border with China.

The military drills will be held in mid-October at an altitude of 10,000 feet in Auli in the Indian state of Uttarakhand and will focus on high-altitude warfare training, according to a senior Indian Army officer with knowledge of the matter.

Auli is about 95 kilometers from the Line of Actual Control (LAC), an inhospitable piece of land where the disputed border between India and China is roughly demarcated.

“I reiterated the points that we made publicly as well as directly to Chinese counterparts in recent days, again, about the fact that they should not use the visit as a pretext for war, escalation, for provocative actions, that there is no possible justification for what they’ve done and urge them to cease these actions,” he said.

So China can not exercise in their part of the world, in their own waters and close to their own country. There is no justification for that and they must cease immediately.

But the US can travel to the other side of the globe and exercise at China’s border.

So after we defeat the commies in war, how does China get divided up?

- Aksai Chin goes to India
- Inner Mongolia to Mongolia
- Tibet, Xinjiang, Manchuria, and Yunnan all made independent states
- Hong Kong and Macau both made independent (provided they publicly execute their collaborationist leaders)
- Rest of the country goes to Taiwan, as a permanently-"occupied" (aka not integrated) territory

Did I miss anything?

I can't think of a single good reason for the US to involve themselves with the India/China border or to conduct joint exercises with India. India is not our friend either.
