Fox News tries to pass off fake image of judge who approved Mar-a-Lago warrant as real

To finish up his duties as guest host on Tucker Carlson Tonight Thursday, Brian Kilmeade showed a clearly photoshopped image of Judge Bruce Reinhart, who signed off on the FBI raid at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort that has dominated the news since Monday. The image took a 2017 post from Judge Reinhart, and put his body onto that of deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein getting his foot rubbed by Ghislaine Maxwell, who is now in prison for her part in Epstein’s crimes against minors. Despite the fact that the image Fox News used was credited to the Twitter handle @whatimemtosay, Kilmeade tried to pass it off as real.

“Also, a picture of Bruce Reinhart,” Kilmeade said while bringing up the image. “This is the judge in charge of the..of the uh…of the, um…as you know, of the warrant, and we’ll see if he’s gonna release it next. He likes Oreos and whiskey.”

Another step by the liberals to silence the opposition voices in America.

If this happened in Russia then the liberals, Great Britain and the EU would have sanctioned them.

Yes this is what used to be known as "comedy / parody." Too bad the autists and woke moralists who now make up the left have zero sense of humor.

You could at least aspire to the level of the BBC and use more subtle forms of bias. Is it too much to ask?

Nim

No one here is going to claim that Brian Kilmeade is a newscaster for the thinking man.

That being said, the pearl-clutching over something that clearly was not trying to be passed off as serious is annoying.

In other news a local news caster has been sent to a mental facility for hallucinating after claiming to see cats & dogs raining from the sky.

"Yes this is what used to be known as "comedy / parody.""

Implying that someone is a sexual predator or pedo or associated with sexual predators or pedos is not parody or comedy. That's just a smear.

"Too bad the autists and woke moralists who now make up the left have zero sense of humor."

What exactly was the joke?

Honestly, I don't know anymore where satire ends and news begins. Pardon me if this actually was satire.

Like I don't even know if my comment was satire or serious. I think I baked in enough ambiguity to cover my own ass. That's where we are...

The CEOs of News Guard that gave Fox News that rating were guests on Brian Stelter's show so they have pretty much zero credibility.

Brill has been associated with the Huffington Post.

That said the report does say Fox News has reliable new anchors and was given a low score because of content provided by Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Maria Bartiromo, and Jeanine Pirro.
This goes back to what I have been saying. Don't watch the talking head shows thinking you are getting accurate information. Fox News is one of the few news agencies that differentiates between news coverage and opinion driven content. CNN and MSNBC make no attempts to do so.

"A new analysis reveals the extraordinary left-wing bias of website ratings firm NewsGuard, which should concern every American given that it is expanding its reach into cable and broadcast TV news. Liberal outlets were rated 27 points higher on average than news organizations on the right.

MRC Free Speech America analyzed the NewsGuard ratings of media outlets based on a list compiled by AllSides classified by their “bias” on a left-to-right scale. The average NewsGuard score for the “left” and “lean left” outlets — which included leftist outlets like Jacobin and The Nation — was 93/100. While the average rating for “right” and “lean right” outlets — which included Fox News, Washington Times and New York Post — was a low 66/100. That’s a 27 point disparity."

If they were trying to pass the image off as real they would have removed the meme tag. Only an idiot would think they were trying to pass that off as a real image.

“Last night while subbing for Tucker Carlson, we showed you an image of Judge Bruce Reinhart w/ Ghislaine Maxwell that was sourced on screen to a meme pulled from Twitter & wasn’t real,” the post said. “This depiction never took place & we wanted to make clear that we were showing a meme in jest.”

"... we wanted to make clear that we were showing a meme in jest."

Again, the problem is that there is nothing funny or amusing about it.

It was nothing more than an attempt to associate him with a pedo ... which has become the standard smear among right wingers for everyone who they view as an enemy.

"

Well to be fair, he linked himself to that by quitting hisnjob to work for Epstein.

That happened, no weasling away from that fact.

Agreed. That doesn't mean they were not at least attempting humor. Again anyone who thinks they were trying to pass this off as real is an idiot.
